Interestingly enough, I LOVE Creepshow, and The Raft is one of my favorites of all creepshow stories! (that and the dead guy who wants his cake) Although her second fatality was mostly inspired by the Duvalia of Resident Evil 5... I think the raft and the blob had a strong influence in me even if i didnt think about it cause i love them both! I also love Hellraiser!!!
Btw... weird question, but are we allowed to tweak our characters? I just wanted to add fatality names and better explain a couple of the moves...maybe slightly change one of them

I Hope the fact that some of the kharacters don't have picturers to go along with the submissions wont influence the voting to much. however I know its a very visual competition. I kinda feel bad for the ones that dont have pics. It makes me want to draw there kharacters for them, some are so good they need them.

There are a handful of really quality drawings, but the majority do not have them. I really don't think it'll play a role on who wins and loses; most characters with images have them ala Hero Machine or some sort of character creator, so that playing field is level. Even if they don't have images, it won't influence my vote so long as they are thorough enough with their text descriptions.

I'm really surprised at some of the voting, especially how poorly Levyatan is doing...he was one of the more interesting characters in my book.

Also, @eliblue, I REALLY like Alexandra's alternate costume!

And to Crow, with the prelims ending tonight, will the actual tournament start within the next few days?

about my Kaharacter "Psionic", the reason I didnt flesh out his specials is because I was in the process of my Moving and because of that I totally forgot about the special abilitities I was supposed to describe... oh well I guess, too late to do anything about it now :\

I typically like alts better than primaries in the game anyways....it makes sense really...there's more incentive to unlock the alt if it's cooler than the primary....My character's alt has more going on in it than her primary too (the model's the same, it's just a palette swap, but with different designs)

I didn't think I would end up liking this character so much. I thought he would be just a generic rock type character, but the vampire element and him not wanting to kill in order to survive is quite an interesting idea.

If Ermac, Pennywise the Clown, and the Regenerator from Resident Evil 4 had a baby it would be Adsler. She is a very creepy character with a unique movelist, and while she is not my favorite of the group I can see her going far in the tournament.

I absolutely loved this guys story. A Shaolin monk fucking shit up for all the Tarkatans. It kind of makes him a boogeyman to the boogeymen, and I love it.

+9 Alexandra

Now comparisons to Soul Caliber characters aside I think Alexandra is a cool character. And while the hardcore might dwell on her story not sticking with canon to a T, I for one found her bio to be interesting and emotional.

+8 Bachi Li

Now I know a lot of people don't like him because MK already has a purple guy, but I think the concept is one of the most original I've seen in this round. I mean who would have thought of being a master of color? He is an original character and he is ok in my book.

+7 Eternus

Although Eternus isn't the most unique character by any means I still think he has a nice design and I can certainly see him fitting in with the rest of the MK cast.

+6 Kimya

I love this character I only wish you took it a little further. You made him a master of animals but he only has two attacks that utilize animals. Also I think you need more detail in his bio. Why exactly did Quan Chi take his mouth again? Never the less I want Kimya to move on, because I see a lot of potential in him.

Now first let me say you had the hands down best written bio of the group however story wise it is basically a transsexual Khameleon looking to mate with Reptile. And gameplay wise I'm not sure how the sex swapping would work

I'm not sure what to make of this character. He seems like a stereotypical street punk, but he has a super powered watch? Where did he get that? He seems like two separate characters that you combined into one and I don't think he works, at least not in terms of MK. Cool idea though

This guy had a generic story, a generic movelist, and a generic design. I know where you were coming from when making this character but when you equate everything about him to another character I tend to think of that character rather than yours.

+2 Clyde

I thought I would love this character based on the first sentence, an evil voodoo practitioner? That sounds cool. But he doesn't even use voodoo in his moveset, instead he just uses punch and kicks to specific body parts. A missed opportunity in my opinion.

+1 Psionic

I think this guy has a cool story but he has a bland look and fighting style, and no original special moves, or even descriptions. Sorry dude I think this character could use a bit more work.

Overall I thought all of you guys did pretty job with your characters. And I wish luck to whomever moves on. And if I said anything bad about your character just remember it's only my opinion. Great Job everyone
