I think Adsler's simply the most unique of the group. I love the way the fighting style is described as well, so I put her up top. I don't dislike Kimya or Lonin Regon, I just didn't get the good vibrations, I guess.

i really enjoyed adsler and clyde appearance. plus i felt those 2 characters were the darker out of the bunch. not bad and some were better than others but there were no slouches eather.

The top spot was a close call and I probably like Onyx and Adsler equally but Onyx's story just intrigued me just a wee bit more.
To the rest of the entries well done just because your lower on my list doesn't mean I didn't like your work, quite frankly I'd love to see everyone of these characters in the game :)

Adsler takes this by an absolute mile.
If Psionic's specials/fatalities were as awesome as his story, he'd have been up there too (which is a shame).
Eternus, again, would have scored higher had he not been designed as "orange scorpion". seriously, he's a cool character with a good story and a GREAT fatality (the first one); there was simply no need to make him so generic.

other than that, well done everybody, but, in my honest opinion, only adsler can really be any kind of threat in this competition.

My top 4 have great potential I believe. There are some questions regarding Alexandra's story (as SOME people have pointed out lol), but I'm really more concerned with looks, gameplay potential, and fatalities, and she seems pretty solid in those areas.

Shade on the other hand has a really cool story, and I really like how he starts off being mysterious and then we finally see who he really is in the end. He does remind me a little of Smoke/Noob, but overall I think he's pretty cool and has a well-rounded moveset.

Levyatan seems like a pretty well-rounded character as well, and I love the intestine electrocution fatality ;)

Adsler is my favorite though. Interesting story, interesting look, interesting moves, and two really good fatalities. She's definitely unique in the MK universe. I think the ending could be a little better, but I think she is by far the best in the preliminary round. I almost think she might be a little TOO grotesque for MK though...but she's still awesome :)

The middle 4 (Kimya, Onyx, Neuros, and Clyde) all have pretty good potential too. I think with a little more development, Kimya and Onyx could be really good. I had a little problem with Neuros' fatalities, and some of his moves seemed a little weird, and he reminded me a little too much of Havik, but he's still pretty cool. Clyde seems a little too Twisted Metal/Manhunt-ish, but his main downfall for me was the lack of special moves. He only has four, and they're all pretty similar to each other.

The remaining 5 just seem too similar to existing characters for me to put them through.
-Komodo obviously reminds me of Reptile, and the whole male/female thing is confusing. He/she kinda reminds me of Noob/Smoke from Deception, and I didn't like the whole tag team aspect (outside of the actual Tag mode in MK9). Also, the story was just too weird even for MK....a human historian studying the realm of Zaterra? Not that plausible...

-Eternus just seems like a mesh of Scorpion, Shang Tsung, and Quan Chi. Also, his X-ray reminds me too much of Smoke's. He has a pretty good ending though (I like the twist involving Ermac)

-Psionic is basically Ermac in Smoke's body (well, the alt costume anyways). Nothing that original at all.

-Lonin is basically Kano. His appearance seems too bland, and the emphasis on the brawling, especially the ending where he becomes protector of Earth and just wants to test his brawling skills, is a bit too ridiculous even for MK

-Finally, Bachi Li gets my lowest vote for two main reasons.
1) His appearance sounds like the result of a really bad kreate-a-kharakter mode. The all purple (especially the ninja alt) is too much like rain, and the primary is just bland, kinda like Johnny's outfit in the movies.
2) His story is almost EXACTLY like Scorpion's. I said earlier that story doesn't matter that much, but when it's pretty much a blatant ripoff of one of the most well-known fighting game characters of all time, it's a pretty big deal.

I mean no disrespect to anyone in this competition, these are just my opinions. Best of luck to everyone, and I hope we see some truly exceptional warriors out of the 96 chosen :)

(Adsler +11 ): Probably the most original of all characters appearance wise, unique, believable moves that I think would be fit for gameplay, some of the crystal moves are copies of sub zeros past moves, but other than that everything was unique. I could easily see this character in the MK universe. Good story, some details unclear, but really good job making her fit in.

(Alexandra +7): She probably grew on me the most of these 13. At first I didnt really like her, but the story was well thought out (with minor holes and quite long). I also liked the moveset, especially the pressure points one, and unique immobilization technique. I do think this character would be good for a game or two, but with the nature and ruthlessness of MK, i could not see her lasting long. I also felt her fatalities did not fit her personality, but a kool character with what I think would have decent gameplay.

(Bachi Li +2): Sorry, but just too much purple for me lol. No offense. This character was way too close move and storywise to Rain and Scorpion. Influence from inside and outside the MK universe is unavoidable, but there were too much similarities here for me to separate Bachi Li as his own character. Even his moves dont seem plausible to me. Sorry, but there was very little I liked about this character, and I tried hard to find something. Again not trying to be a dick, but...I couldnt find anything.

(Clyde +12): Rawness. Great concept, everything fits together great, although I wish he had some better moves. Just seems like his gameplay would be choppy and off rhythym. And they were a little reminiscent of other charaters, but I looked over that because this dude just seems rite for MK. Very original and specific storyline and endings, but his X rays, moves and fatalties hurt his score to me. Because if not for that and me not being able to help but think of a Rastafarian Kano while reading about him, he would have been my favorite by far.

(Eternus +4): I have to say his ending was okay, but all else was cliche to the maximum power. Especailly his move set. It is difficult to come up with yet another ninja to fit in to MK, but this was a decent attempt. This character did fit in alot better then some of the other ones with his connections that were pretty believable, but big problem with lack of originality otherwise.

(Kimya +8): As much as the whole revenge direction usually immediately makes me lose interest, this characters story had just the rite twists and oddness about it to keep me invested. Great original story, ending could use some more work tho. I liked his gameplay, just a little too much of the teleportation i thinks. Kimya I think has a lot of potential and would be out of place in the MK universe...just enough to be a perfect fit.

(Komodo +5): This was one of the better planned and written stories (obviously thats my big thing with this tourney, along with gameplay), and I think it would actually work as a K/Chameleon storyline. Everything about it actually. Just a little long, and I felt like I was reading a movie script with the bio. but this would be a great fan fic to tie in with Reptiles fate. Good read.

(Levyatan +3): Can u say palette swaps? Sry but this dude just seemed like another ninja to me. Nothing really stuck out, and a lot of move borrowing with minor switch ups. Maybe its just me, but nothing really stood out about him. Except that no-one uses yellow energy in MK yet. Besides fire that is. Actually a pretty dope ending tho.

(Lonin Regon +10): Haa this dude got me. This guy kinds fits more with Street Fighter, but in a way his brutality fits MK. Lonin kinda seems like the character that starts out as a joke and ends up being one of the main characters. Dude has just enough of the over the top-ness and straight brute force, that is somewhat missing in the MK series aside from bosses and sub bosses.

(Neuros +13): Another great fit. Nice, simple and believable ties to MK. Good moveset, and still manages to seem original to me, even tho he seems like a mix of Hsu Hao and Kano, but there is more to him, and his relationship with the Shaolin would help bring up more history with them, as Ive always wanted to hear more about. Unique believable powers, and tough moveset. My fav of these 13.

(Onyx +6): Surprized me the most. Not what I expected. Well thought out, and overall might have been the strongest actually. Some of the ties in to MK seemed a little cliche, but there was just enough custom touch to it to get me. Moves could use some tweaking I believe.

(Psionic +1): Ermac meets Ms. Cleo? No thanks. Ending was kinda kool tho. Just didnt get me.

(Shade +9): Another sweet surprize. Again, another character right along the borderlines of being cliche, but pushed it in the right directions. Good storyline and I did like the ending. With a little more originality in the moveset and fatalities this would have been my fav.

i love everyone characters , story and moves , wish to see a picture of some characters but describe very well, i've done it with my heart . like i will do with the others . but for me all are awesome !

I'm fairly surprised at all the love for Adsler. To me she is pretty boring character, with characteristics extremely similar to Voldo, and I damn sure don't want Voldo in MK. Also the moves and fatalities were a little too extreme (on the gruesome side) for my liking.

It's a little thing called "Different Strokes for Different Folks".
I'll have to read through them again later to make my list.

Each character does have merit and would love to see in the game. The top half stood out to me the most and shows that they blazed their own story and fatalities even though from the first glance you can spot a similarity. The bottom half kinda stayed along the traveled path in terms of moves, though the stories were strong.

Am I the only one that thinks its important to actually imagine PLAYING as the characters in question ?
