In the new Timeline, I suppose the Jade/Tanya rivalry doesn't exist, since Jade's vendetta against Tanya was largely because she allowed Shinnok/Quan Chi into Edenia, which sparked MK4. Tanya's new timeline story seems more deeply rooted in an Edenian rebellion along with characters like Rain, giving them renewed purpose and a clear goal to strive towards. That makes her more interesting than just the "I gotta kill Jade before she kills me" story she was carrying through Deception.
My vote goes to Tanya.

TOURNAMENT BATTLE - ROUND 1:
Khameleon versus Ermac
#63 Supreme Ranking #3
0 wins 5 losses Record 22 wins 5 losses
Round 1 (2012) Best Result Champion (2014)
Khameleon is one of the few known survivors of the realm of Zaterra. Despite an appearance in MKX Mobile; Khameleon's fate in the new timeline remains unknown. Best remembered as a lost treasure of MK Trilogy; the elusive Nintendo exclusive returned in Armageddon, wielding the powers of the female warriors in search of Reptile. Allusions to other Saurian warriors have teased her existence and a future for their race. In Reptile's MKX ending, a hidden pocket of survivors is found in Earthrealm -- a conspiracy theory yet to have validity.
Despite the death of his master; Ermac did not find freedom in the new timeline. Where once the gestalt entity found individuality with Kenshi, the new timeline shows Ermac remaining subservient to those vying for control of the Outworld throne. Initially he served Empress Mileena, but her status as a creation of Shang Tsung's flesh pits led him to choose the rule of Kotal Kahn. MKX tie-in comics revealed his involvement in the battle with Havik and Reiko. He fought the young warriors of Earthrealm ashe had during Shao Kahn's invasion, now a mystic enforcer for Kotal Kahn. He was last seen defeated by Jacqui Briggs, who avenged the loss of her father's arms in the new timeline.
In their own ways they each wield the might of a collective -- yet they do so as unique warriors! Would Khameleon fight for Outworld to reunite with Reptile -- or face the soul power of Ermac to avenge the fallen warriors of Zaterra? Choose their destiny! FIGHT!
Im not overly sold on Tanya as a character. Original timelines she was just another henchman jobber who will betray anyone for persoanl gain. In MKX she was just sort of there but her ending suggested betrayal of Rain so not a marked difference. At least she got a personality with the openings tho.
This round I went Khameleon.
She has always interested me and has great potential. I wish she would appear as a proper character or at least be involved in the story. DLC maybe. But with unique moves. Maybe if they brought back variations one of her three could be a mimic style with moves of the other females but the other two styles give her a unique playstyle.
Ermac i liked in MKD with his awesome look upgrade and storyline of turning good. In MK9 and MKX he is hust another henchman jobber again, sadly. So he's sort of gone back the way and doesnt hold my intetest atm.
I'll never understand the fandom's obsession with C/Khameleon.
When Ermac was redesigned into more of a sorcerer-type character, he immediately became more intriguing to me. Yet another ninja character that broke free of that stigma and became his own. Although gameplay-wise I'm not a fan (I just can't get into him or learn how to use him correctly) and i absolutely LOATHE the Ermac spammers in online multiplay, I like the character and hope to see him become more than just a minion.
That is...if Shang Tsung didn't drain him of his power....
I'll never understand the fandom's obsession with C/Khameleon.
When Ermac was redesigned....
Uhhhh. Seriously?
I would be interested in seeing Khameleon and Chameleon developed more. We have the basic idea but they never followed up on it. I feel like they lost their way with Ermac. He was on track to being a new mascot and now hes just another bum.
I'll never understand the fandom's obsession with C/Khameleon.
When Ermac was redesigned....
Uhhhh. Seriously?
Uhhh....care to elaborate with intelligent thought?

TOURNAMENT BATTLE - ROUND 1:
Raiden versus Darrius
#4 Supreme Ranking #74
20 wins 6 losses Record 0 wins 4 losses
Runner-Up (2013) Best Result Round 1 (2017)
Raiden stands vigilant as Earthrealm's guiding light and protector god of the storm! After the rebuke of Outworld, Shinnok's attempts at invasion were thwarted when Raiden fought to defend the Sky Temple from the forces of Netherrealm. When the fallen Elder God was release once more, Raiden again steered the warriors of Earthrealm towards victory - but at what cost? Shinnok's sinister influence succeeded in corrupting the Earthrealm's spirit, forcing Raiden to bathe himself in its dark aura. Though the Jinsei was cleansed, Raiden now watches the enemies with aggression. He was last seen warning the revenant Kitana and Liu Kang of his position.
Darrius hails from the Realm of Order, but he in no way subscribes to Seido's oppressive philosophy! Sewing the seeds of disorder wherever he goes; Darrius is leader of a revolution against the Guardsmen who enforce their strict rules. This cunning warrior hasn't been seen in the new timeline, but in Deception he used manipulation to incite riots, and turn unsuspecting Seidan into fugitive soldiers. The return of the Dragon King and impending Armageddon brought the conflict of Order and Chaos into other domains. It may just be a matter of time before it happens again.
Raiden's dark vision for order threatens to renew hostility with Outworld, but will his warpath end there? Could Darrius and his resistance be forced to defend themselves from gods? Choose their destiny! FIGHT!

Darrius is probably one of the worst examples of the 3d era missteps. I think of him and Dairou immediately when I think of reasons why I just did not like the 3d era at all. He just reminds me of one of those early 90's G.I. Joe figures when they started going off the rail with ridiculous characters. While I appreciated the nod to Taimak and The Last Dragon in Darrius' alternate outfit, the whole Order/Chaos thing got way out of hand with Deception. If they could reinvent the character i'd be fine with seeing him return, but in this kind of contest...no question. Darrius isn't even worth being on there.

TOURNAMENT BATTLE - ROUND 1:
Bo' Rai Cho versus Delia
#60 Supreme Ranking #NA
1 win 6 losses Record 0 wins 0 losses
Round 2 (2016) Best Result Round 1 (2018)
Bo' Rai Cho hails from Outworld, but the drunken kung fu master fought to defend the spirit of Earthrealm during Mortal Kombat X. He shared the Sky Temple with Raiden himself, suffering greivous torture at the hands of the invading fallen Elder God: Shinnok! Bo' Rai Cho was a playable addition as DLC, with an ending that alluded to a coming tournament that would force him to fight for his home from the aggressions of Earthrealm and a darkened Raiden. His true future remains uncertain.
Delia is the Edenian seer who foresaw the coming of Armageddon. With her husband, the protector god Argus; they unleashed the elemental Blaze into the world, to await a time when the spread of powerful warriors would demand action. Blaze would awaken Delia's two demi-god sons, whose quest would reveal their character and determine the fate of existence. In the hopes of preventing Armageddon's dark conclusion, Raiden sent mental projects to his earlier self, creating a new timeline where the future remains uncertain. In the original timeline she was murdered by her son Daegon, but could her mystic influence be called upon again?
Their influence extends beyond their realm of origin, but could they be provoked to fight in the future? Their souls are bound to the composite of Outworld, but will Bo' Rai Cho defend it - or will Delia burn it down? Choose their destiny! FIGHT!
... here's your Subzero, now plain zero.
Would have voted Bo, recently he is superior in every way but I have a feeling he will become a boy scout in the future games when siding with Outworld. Wise, powerful & the voice of reason who fights with restraint.

Went Bo Rai Cho because he's more relevant than Delia storywise.
Delia isn't even a character...a one-off appearance in Armageddon's story mode doesn't qualify her for consideration in this sort of poll, IMO.
Shao Kahn did nothing wrong
I voted Bo.

TOURNAMENT BATTLE - ROUND 1:
Jax versus Nitara
#26 Supreme Ranking #42
5 wins 6 losses Record 2 wins 5 losses
Round 3 (2016) Best Result Round 2 (2012)
Jax was one of Quan Chi's revenant soldiers when Mortal Kombat X began, but was restored to life by Raiden and the heroes of Earthrealm. Reluctant to resume his post with the US Special Forces: Jax initially chose the quiet life -- until a sense of duty brought the mechanically enhanced super-soldier back to the fight! A hero and a father, he returned to the Netherrealm to assist in the capture of Quan Chi.
The fate of the Vaeternus vampires and Nitara remains unknown in the present timeline. A fighter on the periphery; Nitara once sought a means to separate her realm from its bondage to Outworld. She succeeded in this mission, but her people found an enemy emerging from the fires of the Netherrealm. MKX tie-in comics allude to her mastery of blood magik, passed to other manipulative forces by Quan Chi. Though her people abhor the light, Nitara may yet be drawn back into it.
Jackson Briggs fought to protect his family and Earth from the threat of Netherrealm. Where will Nitara stand as new threats emerge from the inferno and Outworld? Choose their destiny! FIGHT!

This Round I have gone with my girl Nitara.
I loved everything about Nitara in MKDA.
Great design, gameplay and decent introductory story. Also a good introduction of her race, and MKA built on this a bit too. I really hope Nitara return ins MK11, she and Sareena are my top wishes for a return. Theres a lot they could do with her in this timeline, either go back to her original story or build her up a completely new one, but I do hope they at least keep her origins the same and give her a mysterious personality.
Jax has been a stagnant boring character pretty much since he was introduced. MKX didn't help him with me.
