And with better teams, for example, Reptile and Jade was just stupid, it should've been Kitana and Jade, and Reptile and Khameleon.

Her and Reptile made sense because of their UMK3 storylines. Khameleon...no.

Yeah and they also had to save some of the more relevant tags for the second tag tournament

I just hope that they don't do Quan Chi and Shang Tsung as a tag team again, it's a cool idea, you know, the two sorcerers, they were the main villains in Deadly Alliance, but the idea is out-dated now, I think Quan Chi should tag team with Noob Saibot or Shinnok.

and everyone getting on fujin and calling him irrelevant yet hes made it farther most of your faves. voted for the GREAT Kung Lao of course.

Well, Fujin is a cool character, but he's kinda second rank as long Raiden is in. I hope he'll be in MKX though and that he will have a significant role. I've always wanted him to take over as the Protector of Earthrealm after Raiden gets all crazy. It'd be cool if Fujin actually kills Raiden for being such a failure, not being fit to protect Earthrealm after MK9.

are finally agreeing lol? but i think raiden's gameplay is awesome. hes usuallly my main but if fujins in he will take that role but im hoping its time for raiden to be out. same with my other favs like liu kang and kung lao. curious to see what they can do with kai to take there lead. im hoping fujin, kai, and kenshi are the leaders of earthrealm in this game.

Finally decided on Shang Tsung. I liked them equally in MKII but Shang just has made more of an impression than Kung Lao on me since then.


Well, this is the same tournament that voted Smoke the champ last year and then ingloriously kicked him out on his ear in the second round just last week.

Well, this tournament isn't about relevance, but popularity.

Well not only that, but people take it way too serious and forget it was just for fun.

Considering how positively fanatic MK fans have always been about their favorite characters,* I think MKO knew what they were getting into when they started this thing. :')

There's nothing wrong with taking it seriously. Taking it seriously is fun!
What might be more healthy is if everyone separated themselves and other people from the characters involved. The success and failure of a preferred character doesn't reflect positively or negatively on anyone.

The conversation isn't about other users -- it's about the characters.
Taking that seriously and weighing up different qualities and factors of the characters, their recent appearances, their present and future possibilities -- that's a gay old time! Pissing and moaning each round because your character lost, or bickering because someone has an Ermac avatar -- not fun.
