Fujin
After a while, I've realized there isn't much of a need for another guy with telekinetic abilites, leave that one to Ermac, I honestly think that Kenshi shouldn't have the telekinesis, because it kinda ruins the whole purpose of Ermac.

... Which had absolutely nothing to do with the conversation, but okay.
ErmackDaddy is a little bit protective of his Ermac, he also went mad on me because I went with Rain, while i'm one of Ermac's biggest fans... sign...
But anyway about this Kenshi/Ermac thing, I wished they would have gone with TELEPATHIC powers + extreme senses for Kenshi + his Sword being alive/possessed by spirits and doing stuff on his own, not by telekinesis.
Leave the telekinesis to Ermac.

Wrong, he went mad at you because you accused Ermac of being a joke character.

Well, if you've played as Kenshi in MK9, you'd know that his gameplay is completely different from Ermac's.
Do you know X-Men?
It's like Jean Grey and Psylocke... both telekinetic and telepathic. However, Jean uses her powers of telekinesis to actually move things with her mind, throwing them at the opponent or even throwing the opponent around. Psylocke, however, uses her powers to manifest psychic blades which can both physically cut at the opponent and affect the opponent mentally, and she boosts her attacks with telekinetic force.
It's kinda the same with Ermac and Kenshi. Ermac is the Jean Grey kinda character while Kenshi is the Psylocke kinda character. Where Ermac tosses the opponent around, Kenshi makes psychic manifestations to attack with.
So two or more characters can have the same power, but utilize them differently.

Technically, Ermac WAS a joke character. He was a rumor turned hoax turned...you get the idea.
The key word is "was," however. He's certainly not a joke anymore.

I don't see how Ermacs creation is a joke though. its not funny. there is no punchline. Fanservice? Sure. Gimmicky? Okay. Mokap is a joke character. Don't get me wrong, not being defensive, but it is what it is. Rain is more or less a tribute character. He too... not a joke. Dan Hibiki... joke character. Get the point?

So glad Kenshi snaked his way into the lead overnight. I do not want a Raiden/Fujin final.
Why can't people quit needling other posters about their favorite character for more than five minutes?

I like both, I think both of them were some of the better ideas in their respective games.
I stand by what I said in that Fujin has tons of untapped potential. I give him the edge here, but like both and hope they both make it in.

Oh, really? What's Ermac's purpose? What's Kenshi doing that's such a detriment to Ermac's story?
How come this ridiculous reasoning only applies to the two characters with telekinesis, and not to the host of others who use fire or soul attacks?
No one ever cries foul that Shao Kahn and Shang Tsung both use soul energy, because (like Kenshi and Ermac,) they use it in totally separate manners. What's next...? Does Kitana take something away from Sub-Zero because she wears blue clothing?
Kenshi and Ermac haven't even met yet in this storyline, and anybody who can bother to read knows that Kenshi's telekinesis comes from and is used in conjunction with his sword. They don't share the contentious telekinetic slam anymore, either.
If the two don't use telekinesis in the same way, I seriously don't understand what the problem is.
...
I don't think anyone has to guess who I voted for.

Fire is a common weapon in nearly every fighting game. Four people alone utlilized fire in the first game in either specials or Fatalities. TK is not. The genre didn't even get a true TK-based character until, yep, UMK3.
However, their TK styles in MK9 varied considerably. It's not a big deal.

What I'm trying to say, well, ignore the whole thing about Kenshi "stealing from Ermac". I was being dumb on that part, is just take away Kenshi's telekinetic powers, because to me it takes away from him being a blind swordsman. He should be known as a blind swordsman and nothing but a blind swordsman.
IMO.
