Voted Quan, much more interesting story, Jade can redeem herself in MKX if she takes on her non-canon ending.

I really started to get far away from Jade because of MK2011, where she is Kitana's lab-dog.

Jade isn't Kitana's lapdog, really. That would imply that Jade did EVERYTHING Kitana wanted her to. She's a somewhat overprotective friend for her, not a slave. In MK9 she even defies Kitana's request of leaving her be, as she continuously spies on her and follows her around to make sure she won't get into trouble - as a responsible bodyguard would. She even tries to stop Kitana by force when the princess insists to go see what's hiding in the Flesh Pit.

Jade might not be independent of Kitana story-wise, but she ain't no lapdog.

So you'd prefer her to be a slave of the unknown woman instead. IMO that won't contribute to her character and will probably kill her off. I'd prefer that not to happen.

I think what most people want is for Jade to stray from being tied to Kitana's story. But true, jumping from being dependent to Kitana to be dependent on the mystic woman in her ending won't really make her an independent character, but it might turn interesting either way.

I, for one, would not be really happy being trapped inside my body while someone else is controlling it.
Theres lots of ways to keep her off Kitana. Having some chick jack her body is not the way to do it.
Call me crazy, but the reason I like her is because she is always so caring for Kitana and always watches her back.

That's actually one of the main reasons I like Jade as well. Her relationship with Kitana gives her so much personality, along with being a sassy bitch towards her opponents. XD

Well, he kinda is... He was just put into MK9 because the devs like him. He had no place in there. Especially not when slowly taking over everything Shang Tsung was supposed to do.

Quan Chi was forced into the story when he should have been a background character, pulling the strings from behind the scenes. That's what made him so awesome in the original timeline. MK9 lessened his character immensely.

Quan Chi, because he is 20x more interesting than Jade and I want him to meet his maker in MKX for all he has done. Oh, and I'd also like to see a new character design for QC given that he has been looking the same and wearing the same fucking shit for over a decade

His supplanting Shang in MK9 was like a changing-of-the-guard moment. Shang has never really been held in high esteem by Kahn throughout the course of the series. Killing him and siphoning off his powers to Sindel pretty much said it all.

The only reason Kahn was disappointed in Shang Tsung is because he was so close to take over Earthrealm, and then he fails. Shang Tsung tries to make up for it throughout MK2 and MK3, but in MK9 it's like Quan Chi butts in and takes over instead. It's like NRS wanted Quan Chi to fully replace Shang Tsung, and now since Shang Tsung is completely gone, he succeeded in doing so.

Shang Tsung might have failed in MK1, but Kahn losing in MK2 and MK3 wasn't Shang Tsung's fault. Him teaming up with Quan Chi and killing Shao Kahn ('s clone) in MKDA was one of the coolest moments in MK history. He even got revenge over Liu Kang who defeated him in MK1. But that will never happen now.

This is just my opinion, but Quan Chi was ALOT more awesome when he was being the puppetmaster who pulled the strings from the shadows until he teamed up with Shang Tsung. That way, Quan Chi wasn't lessened as a character, and his involvement wouldn't lessen Shang Tsung's character either, which I think it did in MK9.

Awakening Sindel on Earthrealm soil was a back-up plan which was completed by Shang Tsung. MK9 lessened the storyline by making it some random idea Quan Chi suddenly came up with (though I'm sure he had planned it beforehand though).

Overall, Quan Chi has lost what made him cool, imo. Him being in MK9 and being such an active character in the story was, funny enough, what made him lose his charm. I have little love left for him.

That he took a spot in the main roster that I think should have been given to Rain just adds to me disliking him.

You won't get any argument from me that QC has been rather overexposed in the series as of late.

(I know Quanchi9 won't like that, though.)
