She's gone beyond that though. Same for Nightwing, Catwoman, Wonder Girl, etc. They of course started off as sidekicks to other heroes but they've branched out and are their own independent characters now.

They have, but they're still in the same category for me. At least the others changed their names and/or costumes and are a far cry from their main hero. I don't want to harp Batgirl *hell yeah, SBFFs!* but I just think any of those other characters would have been better as DLC. If she was going to be in the game, she should have already been in the game in the first place.

I wouldn't say they were a far cry from their sidekickier days but I think they've all moved on fairly well. Batgirl isn't tethered to Batman or struggling to differentiate herself from him or anything.

That doesn't change how people percieve her. People still see Nightwing as a Batman character, though he has moved on his own. That Batgirl is still called Batgirl will have people keep associating her with Batman and see her as just a sidekick.

Clearly the characters were cropped on the season pass advert to look as generic as possible.

Oh, THAT one, website source code most probably, but even then, you can clearly tell that they are the same silhouettes from the official picture.

I know they're the same. But whomever designed the advert could have easily just used placeholder images (one being MMH) and then crop them to not resemble any character.

Now, if the full body picture was cracked from a website or something they clearly were not meant to be released or seen.
