I've learned that the people with high positions on here will abuse them and be huge douchebags to others when they feel like it.

I've learned that a lot of us have a lot of similar interests outside of the Mortal Kombat franchise. Whether it be pro wrestling, hockey, comics and sci-fi movies/franchises from our child hood, other fighting games like Killer Instinct, Smash Brothers and PS Allstar Battle, or non-fighting games like Mario kart.

I think it has more to do with the more level-headed people leaving.


I remember when I was a mod some of the things recently could not really happen.

I have several times, also back when MK9 was announced, been personally attacked by mods. Reporting them didn't seem to help, even if I showed proof of it.

Generally why I don't trust the mods of this site. It still happens from time to time, but there's not much I can do about it. :/

I don't think that Shaolin one is a female because it doesn't have disgustingly skinny ankles like all the other female fighters (including the one next to it) do. I hope it's Liu Kang, but I'm not gonna bother guessing on any of the other ones. Some of them are bound to be new, and most of the characters' feet aren't unique enough to get an accurate guess. Especially with the color switched to black and white.

I learned that a lot of people refuse to take responsibility for their actions, no matter what level they're on.

I also learned that yes, people are that vain.

I've learned that MK fans are some of the most sharp-tonged, sardonically inclined "mall goths" on the face of the planet.

I've learned that MK fans are surprisingly varied. There is not "typical MK player".

There's actually one thing I'd want to learn about MKO's current state... Who are modding this site? Is it only Mick?

Taking Mortal Kombat seriously is a huge mistake and waste of energy.

That the small majority of fans here like Mortal Kombat for the wrong reasons.

That if you are a fan of something long enough you become cynical and bitter towards it.

That apparently I am the only one who likes Sheeva and Drahmin.

That you have to write a freaking essay for your post to have any value here.

That you better have thick skin when posting artwork up on here or else a certain someone will rip you apart.

That I genuinely am not good at or like fighting games all that much, and the
only reason I like Mortal Kombat is due to how outlandish the characters are.

That Mortal Kombat seems to have a very big homosexual audience. I honestly did not see that coming.

I like Sheeva and Drahmin and, while I am fan of the series since 1992, I am not the least bit cynical and bitter towards it and its developers.

-That other sites refer to us as "MKO casual retards". I've since outgrown this title since beating Sabin, beating Tom Brady in a money match and winning TO vs MTL by myself and making it to three grand-finals. GG.
