A cool look doesn't necessarily make a great entertainer... A good entertainer is either a good in ring talent (Angle, Jericho, Guerrero, London), or a charismatic wrestler who assures with a mic and knows perfectly how to make react people (The Rock, Austin, Triple H -I love booing him, lol-, Hulk Hogan)... And of memory of wrestling fan whom I am, Scott Steiner enters none of these two categories... There is a ditch between "to be fan of a wrestler" and "recognize objectively an entertainer or a legend"...

Like I said, I know most fans don't agree with me, but IMO, Steiner fits right up there with The Rock in terms of electrifying the crowd (which is to say, me).

Well, Akio was sent to OVW and Sakoda was fired. Those a pretty good reasons as to why they're not in the game.
As for Jamie Noble I have no idea why he isn't there but last time I checked the website there was something stating that the roster wasn't final so it's likely that it isn't and hopefully Noble will make the final cut.

Huh!? Why the fuck was Sakoda fired!? And why the hell was Akio sent to OVW? I think the WWE has a thing with foreign fighters... Akio and Sakoda were extremely talented, IMO. In fact, I don't think there was anything actually bad about Akio. And the only bad thing I can point out about Sakoda is that he in fact, was a bit green in the ring, especially that one time when Billy Gunn had to 'remind' Sakoda that it was time for an arms drag. But still, I think they were both fantastic. Sakoda, even though he was a heavyweight, defenetely had some real speed in there. I don't think there are other heavyweights in the smackdown! roster that can do spinning heel kicks as good as Sakoda's. And Akio was excellent, he was really relaxed in the ring and moved around very well.
The WWE can suck it. They keep doing shit after shit.

From what I've read the WWE thought their gimmicks weren't working any more so they were sent to OVW and plan was that they would come back with new gimmicks. But then Sakoda was fired the other day so I guess Akio will probably be joining him at the unemployment line
Maybe it's best for them, they weren't really doing anything in the WWE, they were losing every single match they took part on...

I thought Akio was awesome. why he was sent back to OVW I don't know. at least its a relief he wasn't fired (yet).

I didn't really care about Sakoda. he was just um, meh.

His name is no longer on WWE.com, however, if you google his name, there are likely a few fansites available, or pick up some of his videos, or you could even buy his book. All will give you info on Austin.

- As of a few hours ago, Shawn Michaels and his wife have not had their baby yet, the due date was 8/8. If the baby is not born by the time SummerSlam rolls around this Sunday, Michaels has understandly informed WWE that he will not appear at the PPV. Michaels is not scheduled to appear this Sunday but there is the obvious scenario that if he does return, he would intefere in the Kane-Matt Hardy match. HBK is scheduled to feud with Kane after SummerSlam whether he actually appears on Sunday or not.

- ShaneHelms.com has reported that the surgery Hurricane had to repair his broken nose went well. However, there has been no word on when he will return to the ring.

- A few sources have said that the WWE are planning to film the Divas Dodgeball segment in the morning on sunday. This will mean that they will have time to edit it and splice it into the PPV. The segment is expected to run 5 minutes or less.

- To add further to Rena "Sable" Mero's departure from WWE, it seems that she had become tired of the constant travelling that goes with being a WWE superstar and that she wanted to her role changed to a TV-only character. Sable's boyfriend, Brock Lesnar, also found the travel demands associated with the job very tough to handle.

Sable apparently approached WWE management to try and get herself a reduced role, mainly to spend more time with her daughter and Lesnar. As the story goes, WWE were not flexible to her needs and both parties decided to amicably part ways.

- Ted Turner is considering starting a promotion and there have been rumors that Hulk Hogan has spoken about about the possibility of joining it.

Most inside the business believe that these are just rumors and that there is no truth to Hogan's statement. Many believe Hogan is just using this as bait, hoping it will push Vince McMahon into bringing him back to WWE.

Sakoda was pretty good IMO, but he never fought. He just acompanied Akio to the ring.

They were both losing all their matches, it's true, but the fact is, they shouldn't. They were both great, and far more tallented than alot of crap that's going around, like Shannon Moore. And dare I say it... Randy Orton. Akio was just such a natural in the ring, it's hard to find anyone who seemed more relaxed and completely free in the ring. He also had some great kicks and moves, like the moonsault kick he did to opponents who were in the turnbuckle.

So its summerslam this coming sunday. who does everybody think will win?
