A Tuesday night press conference in Australia to promote the upcoming Hulkamania: Let The Battle Begin tour, a wild brawl broke out that left Hulk Hogan beaten and bloodied by his opponent on the tour, Ric Flair. While most probably understand that what occurred is “worked” and part of the show, the Australia media is reporting the story as if it were a legit attack. The story is getting a ton of media attention on Australian television news shows and is a a headline story on many Australian news websites.

The Herald Sun writes, ”Media were stunned as the Hulk’s head began bleeding profusely and confusion broke out when the veteran wrestling star was unable to get to his feet.”

The Hulkamania: Let the Battle Begin tour begins this Saturday in Melbourne.

As of this writing, The Undertaker vs. John Cena is one of the planned main-event's for WrestleMania 26. That could easily change though as 'Taker vs. Jericho had also been rumored at one point several weeks ago. The groundwork for the potential Cena-'Taker matchup was set on this past Monday's RAW when Cena received a tombstone after the main-event match had ended.

Mark and Jay Briscoe had an informal tryout at last night's WWE Smackdown/ECW tapings in Philadelphia.

Both men are under contract to ROH, but were given permission to do the tryout as when WWE extended the invitation.

Becky Bayless, who has worked for both ROH and SHIMMER, also had a tryout at last night's Smackdown/ECW tapings.

Taker vs Jericho would've been amazing for Wrestlemania, IF THEY DIDNT HAVE THEM WRESTLE FOR THE FIRST TIME ONE-ON-ONE EVER ON FREAKIN SMACKDOWN LAST WEEK AND HAVE JERICHO LOSE CLEAN furious

Not to mention Jericho ending "the streak" would be interesting. With Cena, I'd just vomit. And I mean literally.

If they manage to make Cena end Undertaker's streak, then there's no point on watching WWE anymore... Maybe kind of stupid to say, but I'm so sick and tired of his character. He's supposedly a "wrestling God" in the industry. Can we cut back on him for once and give someone else a shot at the big matches?

Jericho going up against Undertaker would be an awesome match to watch, if it's Cena, I'm not even gonna bother watching Wrestlemania.

I do NOT want to see Jericho vs Taker at Mania. Jericho vs Taker on a ppv would be an incredible match, but if it's at Mania it's ruined because you already know Taker is going to win, and I'd much rather see Jericho face Edge.

Taker vs Cena is fine because Taker is going to win, and it would be a good match. I want to see Taker tombstoning the shit out of Cena maybe he wouldnt be so invincible after that.

Jericho and Edge did had an awesome rivalry a while back... I'd like to see that then if they're gonna keep the Cena gimmick... Meh, Taker better beat the crap out of him. Nuff' said.

Cena is NOT beating Taker, that's for sure. Neither is anyone in the WWE roster today. WWE likes Cena as a babyface. They know they can put him up against Shawn Michaels or Bobby Lashley and he'll still get cheered, but have him BEAT Undertaker at Mania? The arena itself would probably want to kill Cena.

Jericho vs Edge in a main event world title Mania match? Fuck yes.

Cena vs. Undertaker is quite interesting. We havn't seen them feud since Cena was a heel back in his "thuganomics" gimmick.

Not true, they wrestled on Smackdown! when Cena was a babyface a few years ago.
I definitely want to see Taker vs Cena at Mania, and Edge vs Jericho. RAW's main event isn't looking too good, though. Maybe Orton vs Dibiase?

I don't see Orton vs Kofi Kingston lasting all the way to Wrestlemania, that sounds pretty crazy.

looks like vince and ed might be on their way out of tna soon.

Thanks to James Caldwell of PWTorch.com for the following recap:

Hulk Hogan claimed he's going to have the TNA writers fired when he returns to TNA to "run the promotion" after the Hulkamania Tour in Australia concludes.

Hogan said in a radio interview with Jason Datillo of 91.3 SportFM in Perth, Australia that he despises having writers in the wrestling business, especially when he worked in WWE. Hogan put Vince Russo and Ed Ferrara on notice with the following quote.

"In TNA, I'm going to listen to those fans and give them what they want. I'm not going to keep shoving a bunch of terrible, horrible, stale programming down their throats," Hogan said, referring to WWE's writing. "(In TNA), I'm going to take the writers and tell them, 'go get another job. Sit in the back. If I need you to write a jingle for a commercial, maybe we'll use you for that.'"

Hogan added that he wants to work with wrestlers who understand the wrestling business. He identified Kurt Angle, Sting, and A.J. Styles as the top three stars he sees in TNA.

"This is the wrestling business. If these wrestlers can't talk and these wrestlers can't wrestle, they need to head for the door," Hogan said.

Hogan had plenty more to say in the interview. Watch out for more stories pulling newsworthy quotes from Hogan's interview promoting the Australian Tour and talking WWE and TNA.

TNA absolutely needs Heyman. Any organization could use him, bad. The only problem Heyman ever had was bouncing checks. If he worked for TNA as a booker things like that wouldn't happen anymore. Although he'd probably come in conflict with producers.

Heyman would be amazing in TNA but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Hogan firing the writers I think is great and now would can see the wrestlers actually being wrestlers if you know what I mean but hopefully I won't get carried away like it did in WCW.

In other news Rey Mysterio will be getting knee surgery, which is why they did the stretcher job last night.

The Big Show got choked out as the finish of last night's World Title match as he also needs knee surgery, which is why he was wearing the big brace on his left knee.

Referee Scott Armstrong suffered a concussion last night when Sheamus accidentally kicked him in the back of the head. He was in bad shape last night, but is said to be doing much better today.

Pro Wrestling Guerrilla has announced that they will present Kurt Russellmania on January 4th as a part of the WrestleUnion 4 event on January 30th. Jushin Thunder Liger, Keiji Mutoh and Rob Van Dam. The first match announced for the January 30th show is El Generico vs. Jushin Thunder Liger, in what is being called a "Big Trouble in Little China Singles Match".

Are people forgetting who Hulk Hogan is? I mean really? If he "fires" the writers, who in the hell is going to be there to book things and you know, write?

Yeah. Psycho Angle, Nash and Hollywood himself. Sounds like a good plan.

It would still be better than Russo, to be honest. At least those guys have more respect for titles he does.

So, what does everyone think of Sheamus getting pushed so strongly? I think the WWE is just trying to see how they react to him in a main event situation, but he won't be going there quite yet. I also think they didn't have any good heels to fight Cena. Throw away rivalry.

I do hope that Sheamus does well though. Maybe he'll freshen up the Raw main event scene. I'm not terribly impressed by him like I have been with Kofi, Punk, Morrison, or Swagger, but who knows?

I do like how tonight showcased alot of the young talent. I was worried when Orton was in the Battle Royal, I think Cena vs Orton #329848905 would've pissed off the crowd. As far as Sheamus goes, I think this is a throwaway match to see if he can be a main event player. I hope so, it'd be nice to see some new faces at the top. Theres only so much you can do with Cena, Orton, HHH and HBK. Looks like we'll be seeing Cena and Taker as champs through WM. Sucks I would've liked to see both of them in the Royal Rumble match

At least neither of them (Taker, Cena) will be ruining the Rumble match by winning. I'll be thoroughly upset by this years Rumble if another established star wins it. I want to see an upstart talent win it, someone who hasn't headlined WM, and someone who is in the upper-midcard. Jericho would be the only acceptable established star for me, only because he deserves it.

I'd like to see Morrison, Kofi, MVP, Sheamus, or even Swagger win the RR. I want the WWE to take a chance with Wrestlemania, and try to use it to establish a new main event star.

Rooting for Morrison myself lol.

Isn't Cena making another movie? Maybe Sheamus will "Send him to a retirement home," until that movie is done filming.

Unfortunately, I just don't see this as much different from "old Cena" storylines. You know, like the time he stopped the unstoppable Khali and defeated the undefeated Umaga...

That being said, I like Sheamus and hopefully he's not in line for the sort of careers those two have now.

Yeah, Nash and Hogan respect titles. Especially when the titles are around their waists.

Undertaker isn't holding the title all the way to Wrestlemania, that's for sure. I don't think Cena will, either, but it's more likely.

Anyways yeah I'm very happy that RAW showcased a bunch of new talent. It's so important to push the new guys and I'm very glad that WWE realizes that. I was scared shitless when Orton was put into the battle royal, I thought for sure he was going to win. I guess we'll see Kofi vs Orton at TLC.
