MyFOX Memphis reports that Jerry Lawler is once again considering running for Mayor of Memphis. Lawler will apparently make an official announcement about entering the special election soon. Mayor Willie Herenton's retirement has caused the special election. Lawler already ran for Mayor of Memphis once, losing to Herenton back in 1999. Lawler got 12% of the vote in that election.

Wally Seiber, who wrestled under the name Waldo Von Erich, died last night at the age of 76.

Jimmy Hart will appear sometime this week on the WGN Morning News, which airs 5-9AM, no doubt to promote this Friday’s Hulk Hogan signing and live event at Toyota Park. This can only be seen by Chicagoland viewers on WGN9.

Joanie "Chyna" Laurer has signed a music deal with Virgin Records. Dave Reynolds, the President of Virgin Records, is also Chyna's music agent and is currently looking for music video roles for her.

SuperLucha.net reports that former WWE/ECW star Super Crazy will work TNA's August show in Laredo, TX.

Pretty much the only way she could get a music deal, is to have her agent be the president of a record label.

I don't see why she doesn't just breakdown and become a porn star....OH WAIT!!!!
1 Night in Chyna lol wowgrin

The 7/4 public funeral for Mitsuharu Misawa in Pro Wrestling NOAH’s home arena of Differ Ariake is believed to have been one of the largest funerals for an athlete in history.

Pro Wrestling NOAH officials did a legitimate count of more than 26,000 people, almost all clad in green and carrying flowers, coming through the doors, with a line that was more than three miles long and took four hours to get into the arena. It is likely thousands more came, but in seeing how long the line was when they got to the building and started walking to the end, gave up on their walk long before the end. Company officials were stunned, as they had prepared funeral cards for everyone coming but ran out after about 10,000 had come through the door.

Every major network newscast that night covered the funeral. It may have been the fourth largest funeral procession for a professional athlete in history, and definitely was the second largest ever in Japan for a sports figure and one of the 15 largest for anyone ever in Japan.

So it should be.

The Abraham Washington show? What in the bluest of blue hell was that about? And how come that segment was actually pretty good? I mean, with a name like that you'd expect it to be the biggest piece of shit the WWE has made since the Spirit Squad.

In FCW his gimmick was a spoof on President Obama, so that's what is behind his name... a combination of two of the most famous US presidents. That and he looks vaguely like a Obama a little.

In a monumental, unprecedented announcement, Seth Green, comedic star of both film and television, will appear as the Special Guest Host this Monday night on Raw.

Seth Green is the co-creator & producer of the hit stop-motion TV series Robot Chicken, which airs as part of Cartoon Network's Adult Swim block. Green also does many of the voices on the show, a talent he has shown amazing skill in throughout his celebrated career, and has even appeared in animated form.

Among his numerous credits on both the big and small screen, Green left his audience in stitches as the estranged son of Dr. Evil in all three Austin Powers films, fought the good fight in Buffy The Vampire Slayer: The TV Series, and voices Chris Griffin in the hit cartoon series Family Guy.

Green’s appearance on Monday Night Raw is sure to shake things up like never before. And the entire WWE Universe waits in eager anticipation to find out what the comic genius co-creator of "Robot Chicken" will have in store for the Superstars of the of the squared circle.

well, i'm glad u liked it. i hated it! the dude gets booed out of the building before he even speaks, he looks like he's not getting over at all. and despite Tommy Dreamer being the guest, i just thought the whole segment was a mess. i deffinately hope that the Abraham Washington show doesn't last too long

I only saw the first ECW Abraham Washington segment, with the Bella twins and it was by far the worst segment I've ever seen in WWE.

Saw a preview of tomorrow's TMZ show, and they interviewed Goldberg asking him if he's ever going to come back to wrestle.

"I'll never work for Vince that mother fucker again..." Something like that... yeah, I don't think we'll see this guy any time soon in the WWE.

Goldberg is beyond his prime, and WWE would misuse him again even if he was better now than he ever was before. It's a good thing. WWE already has two Goldbergs with Trips and Cena anyway.

Goldberg was never a great wrestler (although he was under rated), he was popular because of one thing: His great gimmick and look. And nobody remembers Goldberg as the undefeated beast anymore, he has already lost a great number of times, he has no momentum and he's not a young rising star anymore. He is of no use to Vince, and Bill's so rich Vince is of no use to him either.

I meant to ask this question a long time ago...

Is Christopher Nowinski still with the WWE just not at a wrestler? Last time Raw was at Chicago, I passed out towards the end of the show because I couldn't breathe with the smoke fogging around, and part of it was fighting this damn condition I have, I went to the back to the medical spot and I swear to god this guy who was helping me out was Chris. I didn't ask or anything, I was too afraid, but does anyone knows if he's still around the business?

I checked his wikipedia page and it still says he's under contract. I know he was part of the Smackdown Your Vote thing one year, and he does a lot of work like that for WWE (last I heard, at least).

Also, face Mark Henry is awesome. Please push him even more.

he's also head of some research thingy for deceased athletes. he's the one who got Benoit's brain to be examined for concussions and what not. it's something that determines how much damage a Pro athletes brain takes in sports like wrestling and football

Well that comment won't make Vince happy. Especially when he's going to be on the The rise/fall of WCW dvd.
