I also realized John Morrison looks alot like Jim Morrison...
Coincidence? I think not! Jim Morrison is back from the dead!
Did anybody see Smackdown last night? Ever since like a few years ago, Edge just keeps getting crazier and crazier, kind of like how Eddie Guerrero was (RIP) before he died, during that whole "I'm your Papi" storyline.

Of course I stole it how can I come up with this shit myself.
On August 8, 2008, wrestling journalist Georgiann Makropoulos reported that Walter "Killer" Kowalski had suffered a major heart attack and that doctors did not expect him to make it through the night. On August 9, 2008, wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer reported that he had been taken off life support and was unresponsive. Kowalski passed away earlier this evening.

yeah, he trained a couple of people in WWE, the big one being HHH...
They'll probably just have a little picture at the begining, saying "In memory Of Killer Kowalski 1924-2008

Update on The Condition of "Killer" Kowalski
08/10/2008 by Steve Carrier
In an effort to minimize inaccurate reports about Walter "Killer" Kowalski, his wife has asked us to send a brief update:
Initial reports by Georgiann Makropolous were correct in that Walter did, in fact, have a heart attack late on Friday. At the time, he was revived, placed on life-support and transferred from the nursing facility to an area hospital. Friday night and Saturday were critical for Walter. As of Saturday evening, Walter was more responsive to those around him, including some visitors from the wrestling industry. He is still being assisted by medical equipment but certain vital signs have improved slightly. The medical staff is hoping that he will continue to stabilize.
Walter is still in serious condition and we can all only hope for continued improvement. His wife believes that his slight improvement is due to the thoughts and prayers that he has been receiving from around the world. She asks that everyone continue to pray for Walter.
As always, messages can be sent to Walter through his school: www.killerkowalskis.com or through the mailing address on the site.
Again, we ask that everyone think of Walter during this difficult time and resist the spread of inaccurate information and reports.
Thank you,
Jamie Jamitkowski

Meltzer is not the most reliable source for news dude. At least Killer's still alive, by gosh, if he passed, one of wrestling's true greats would be gone, and WWE would do more than post a picture, they'd likely have a memorial video like they did for Moolah

what's that about Bernie Mac?
I thoroughly enjoyed Jason MacDonald vs Demian Maia which pleasantly surprised me.
I was really disappointed Lesnar won though. Fuck. Oh well. He'll have to fight some truly good heavyweights some day. I almost hope he DOES get a title shot, just so I can see Nogueira choke his big stupid head.

I didn't think Brock was going to lose. He IS a good wrestler. I was expecting Heath to kick his ass a little though. When Herring went for the Kimura, I was praying to God he would get it but alas.
I also don't feel that Brock actually learned his lesson. He was still too agressive. If he had fought against Frank Mir again he would've lost again, I bet.
I agree, Maia vs McDonald was arguably match of the night IMO. It was very exciting and action packed. I thought the main event was slightly boring and too one sided, but it was still pretty good. I felt bad for GSP, as the show was going out, he wasn't allowed to do his promo, aha. Poor Guy.

Yeah, every time Lesnar had that wrestling style back side control position (I don't know what that's technically called seeing as I'm a BJJ player and not a wrestler,) Mir would've just rolled into guard and then that's when it gets interesting because Lesnar has to deal with a whole unfamiliar world. I don't really know why Herring didn't do that actually, but then again he's never been known for his bottom game when it comes to grappling. Lesnar's going to have to learn about that shit if wants to have any chance of beating guys like Gonzaga, Mir, Nogueira, or anyone else with a good BJJ guard. Plus, I was sitting here watching and I spotted about half a dozen wide open submissions waiting to be taken and he did nothing with the opportunities. He's progressing, but he still doesn't seem to know much at all about submission grappling.
But I'm sure he'll improve.
Main event was a little 'meh.' I'm trying to think of a good challenge for GSP within the UFC and it seems he's quickly running out of interesting challengers.

Yay Beer Money, Boo Joe!!
I watched TNA Hard Justice last night, it wasn't bad. The Kurt Angle vs. AJ Styles match was really good. They simply stole the show. MOTY candidate for TNA definitely.
Solid action all around, but the main event was sadly one of the weakest parts of the show. The ending was seriously abrupt. And I hope Double J doesn't come back.
I was so fucking happy when Beer Money Inc. won.
