Smackdown was mediocre at best, not one of the best, I thought Raw was a hell of alot better. What's with Mordecai? What a lame ass idea to think of sticking him in a feud with Guerrerro. I mean that's what killed WCW, was them always sticking guys who don't deserve title shots in a match with the champion. JBL is a dick in plain english, good riddance to Chavo "Classic" and this thing with Heyman/Dudleys/Taker is really lame.

Geez why don't u tell us how u really feel?? LOL

I agree 110% with everything u said, tho I do wanna see Paul Bearer get buried alive so I guess I kinda like that angle, plus the Dudleys got the belts, which I like, but I wish they weren't in such a shitty gimmick.

LOL! Yeah, I get a little opinionated sometimes. I was also happy the Dudley's got the belts, 18 times, that's a first in pro-wrestling history. I just wish they could have made it a little more meaningful.

WWE Notes: Canada PPVs Affected, Ric Flair Interview, More:

- WWE Canada announced today that due to legal conflict, they will not be showing the upcoming Great American Bash and RAW's upcoming untitled PPV. However, Cineplex Ideon Cinemas will be showing the PPVs for $11.95 (with the exception of Summerslam, which will cost $19.95).

- TSN announced that they will be conducting an interview with Ric Flair on July 21st at 6 PM ET. TSN is also asking for fans to send in questions to ask the Nature Boy by e-mailing otr@tsn.ca

- A new WWE energy drink called FUEL CELL will be released across Canada later this month. It will be carried at many convenience and grocery stores across the country.

Austin/Hogan Update, Lesnar On ESPN This Weekend; More:

According to the Minneapolis Star Tribunte, the ESPN feature on Brock Lesnar's attempt to make it in the NFL will air on SportsCenter this Sunday at 9:30AM.

TSN has announced that Ric Flair will be doing a one-on-one interview with Nature Boy Ric Flair that will air on July 21 at 6 pm et. TSN is encouraging fans to send questions that they want Landsberg to ask Flair by emailing otr@tsn.ca. Ric Flair will also be in Toronto promoting WWE SummerSlam which will take place August 15 and you can expect him to plug that on the OTR interview as well.

Hulk Hogan and Steve Austin will appear at the Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim, CA at this year's Winning Way. This function is a motivational event geared toward success and usually features major sports luminaries, but this year it includes Donald Trump, members of the Olympic team commemorating the twentieth anniversary of the Games, including Mary Lou Retton. Of course there are also many Raiders, Lakers and Dodgers appearing as well. Check out the web site at xtrasports690.com.

Layfield/Stern Report, Defends Actions, JBL's Fiance; More:

John Bradshaw Layfield made an appearance on Howard Stern's syndicated radio show this morning to speak about his recent firing from CNBC. While Stern interviews several WWE wrestlers each year, he admitted to not watching WWE, but rather, recognizing Layfield from CNBC. Throughout the interview, Stern was sympathetic to Layfield for his actions in Germany.

Confirming that WWE had no part in scripting his actions, Layfield stated that he "makes fun of everybody he can," and that his character is a cross between JR Ewing, Pat Buchanan and David Duke.

Making the same argument he did in a recent news article, Layfield stated that criticizing a pro wrestler for a heel promo is like calling an actor like Anthony Hopkins a cannibal because he portrayed Hannibal Lecter.

Despite the report that a fan attempted to attack him, Bradshaw denied any allegations that fans in the arena protested and stated that it was NOT illegal in Germany when under the scope of entertainment.

As a reponse to a fan who wondered whether he felt the outbreak of controversy was backlash for his anti-Internet comments several weeks prior to the incident, he agreed, stating that his firing was the result of "some little guy that had a pro wrestling website" who e-mailed the network. While this reporter certainly would not be able to confirm the true reason he was fired, especially since he had not gotten in trouble for past racist and anti-homosexual comments, there was some talk going around that various websites did encourage readers to e-mail the network regarding Bradshaw's actions.

Bradshaw was never formally informed of his release from CNBC, but stated that he would not consider a lawsuit against the network.

Other tidbits from the interview including Bradshaw announcing his engagement to FOX News' Meredith Whitney and that he condemns Hitler's actions during Nazi Germany.

RVD Leaving WWE?, Contract Details, Options; More:

Rob Van Dam's contract will expire on 6/27, but from what I've heard he has verbally agreed to a new multi-year deal with the company. Though, as of last word he has not officially re-signed.

There had been some talk which has recently subsided, that RVD would be leaving the company once his current contract was up. But there is some feeling that if RVD does leave WWE, there will really be nowhere else for him to go due to the fact that Japan is not what it once was nowadays and most guys who work with WWE don't fathom the idea of going back to Japan. The money is less over there and the style of wrestling is physically harder on the body, as well as the audience response being a lot less.

Many feel that RVD could do well working indies short-term, though he wouldn't even come near what he is earning in WWE and many feel that it is much too big of a risk to take with a career such as this.

I hope that Goldberg returns soon, but I'm not counting on it. If he does, it may not be untill Wrestlemania 21.

I need someone to confirm this for me.Did JBL really say "Go F*ck yourself" to CNBC in his promo? My cousin told me he did.He could of been joking when he said that.Anyway Im laughing at something MUCH funnier than that...

Wilt The Stilt Chamberlan sleeping with 20,000 women.LOL!I know it's old but I just found that out today. He must've had alot of time on his hands.

By the way does anyone think TNA:IMPACT should get a better ring?I do.The ring looks a little odd with it having alot of ring posts.I hate the fact that TNA goes to a COMMERCIAL DURING A MATCH!AJ Styles was fighting this guy in pink and right when the match was going HARDCORE they go to a commercial break. After that I didn't see the rest of it.

Thanks,The WWE act like their fans are dumb that they wouldn't even hear what Bradshaw did.I think the WWE forgets there are more resources out there to get Wrestling news(like this thread).Just fire JBL Im starting to see why he isn't that good of a wrestler.I forgot his name but the guy who was a big Taka fan would have loved too hear about Bradshaw acting like a Nazi.He was a cool dude what happened to him?

^Exactly. WWE thinks their fans are ignorant. Of course we know why JBL got fired, yet they don't even mention the real reason. Instead they play it off as if he was fired just becuase he is a wrestler. How freaking stupid. And since Vince doesn't see anything wrong with JBL's actions, I doubt he will be fired.

Lambert, ya gotta lay off JR man, what's he ever done to you? Just cause ya don't like his commentating doesn't mean he's a bad person.

As for JBL, noone in the wrestling business really thinks what he did was bad, only the fans do. Case in point, my latest news report:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Goldberg/WWE Update, Smackdown Beats RAW, More:

- WWE has finally updated their RAW superstars page, removing Johnny Nitro and Goldberg from the listing.

- This week's Top Five is up on WWE.com, and SmackDown has 4 of the top 5 clips (Luther Reigns' debut, Undertaker beating RVD/Cena, Rey winning the title, and thr Dudley's title win versus Benoit surviving the elimination match).

- WWE.com also has announced that Torrie, Dawn Marie, Sable, and Miss Jackie will be hosting the Great American Bash.

- Lance Storm has posted a new commentary, discussing the RAW Diva Search and JBL's Nazi salute. Click here to read the entire commentary:
www.stormwrestling.com (HE ACTUALLY DEFENDS JBL)

HBK's Contract Expires, Rock/RAW, Foley Update:

The current term on Shawn Michaels' WWE contract expired on June 6th. Michaels had an option year at the same pay rate, which is believed to be in the range of $750,000 a year. WWE recently told Michaels that they are renewing him for one more year.

With all the recent buzz concerning Rock possibly coming back to RAW this Monday night for a one-shot deal since the show will be in his hometown of Miami, there are many that feel WWE may have dropped the ball with a potential high rating for the show. If Rock will indeed be at the show, the feeling is that WWE should have announced something on last week's show to get people to tune in. There is no confirmation on whether Rock will be at the show, so if he is expect it to be a surprise most likely during the HHH/Eugene match.

Mick Foley has taken some weight off and is said to be looking in the best condition he has in years. Foley refereed a match for OVW a few weeks ago and was said to have been moving around very well in the ring. Foley will be undergoing knee surgery soon, which is a result of his match against Orton at Backlash.

Updates On Steve Austin & Goldberg, Chris Nowinski, & More:

Former WWE superstar "Stone Cold" Steve Austin has declined offers to work for Dreamstage Entertainment in Japan, despite the offering being well worth his while. Apparently Austin is worried that if he can't draw in Japan, it will hurt his status with WWE.

Meanwhile, Bill Goldberg contunies to work for Dreamstage. As it stands, it doesn't look likely that he'll be returning to WWE anytime soon, if ever.

Both Test and Scott Steiner have been medically cleared to return to the ring but WWE has no plans to use them anytime soon. WWE is planning to just let Scott Steiner's contract run itself out.

As it stands, it looks as though Christopher Nowinski will never be able to wrestle again due to his concussion syndrome.

Christian Injury Update, Tajiri Taking Break, OVW & More:

There is some talk of adding a second WWE training ground outside of OVW. One potential spot is the Trax training center in Connecticut. WWE is also looking to team up with a New England based indy promotion to serve as a developmental area.

The tag-team partner of Harry Smith (Davey Boy Smith's son), had a private tryout with WWE recently. Wilson plans to go to college before joining WWE but has apparently been told by Vince McMahon that he has a job waiting for him.

Christian should be back in the ring in around a few weeks time. His back spams have got a lot better and is recovering well.

Tajiri is currently taking a break from WWE to spend time with his wife who recently gave birth to a baby boy.

Word backstage is that Johnny Ace's power and respect backstage continues to grow.

i don't know how smackdown in the audience stakes. Mordecai blows big time, Kurt Angle is getting pathetic and Paul Heyman makes my blood boil. If RVDs contract is due to close and its not officially resigned then he wont be winning at TGAB. Booker t is taking a break too apparently so that takes him out of the loop also.

i'm liking the Eugine/triple H story line atm but who is Johnny Ace?

Johnny Ace is the Talent Relations Director. He took over the duties JR once had. Now JR writes a monthly column in WWE Raw magazine and concentrates on his color commentating. At first JR was against giving Ace the position, but now I believe he has gotten to like Ace.

WWE is keeping him on the sidelines until his contract expires. They think it is too much of a risk to have him work matches.

The only reason why some other WWE wrestlers don't take it "offensive" because they don't want too lose there job.JBL is right up there with Triple H when it comes to backstage pulls. If they do say something Vince will say bye bye.

As for Stacy and Test...hmmmmmm,Where is Test?I NEVER see him on TV.He wasn't even on TV that much when he first joined the WWE.
