well, mkgeek said "Sting's never faced anyone of Angle's calibre before."

to which i said the bret hart comment. as they are both great mat wrestlers.

sting has also beat chris benoit, steven regal, scotty stiener (in his prime), muta...etc.

sting style is more of a "brawler" style..but he knows how to go to the mat.
from vader bombs, sunset flip power bombs to the outside, his current "hardcore" style...or going move for move against people like hart and benoit..sting is a man that can do it all.

i think he can take angle. i think mkgeek had it backwards....angle has never faced anyone of stings caliber before. the closest hes had to compare would be someone like hbk.

Ok, see I'll admit that I was wrong, when I read your post I realized I was wrong (Steven Regal and Scott Steiner are not in Angle's league or caliber!), however, I'll point out that you are also wrong, for you see, Angle has faced more people of Sting's caliber than Sting has of Angle's caliber. Would you not say that Undertaker, Hogan, Austin, The Rock, are all of Sting's caliber? If not, you sir are, imo, a fool! It will be a good match.

when im saying "caliber" im talking about in ring wrestling ability. regal and stiener could wrestle their asses off back in the day. taker, hogan, and the rest you have mentioned aren't in the same category as sting, so no i don't agree with you. now..star power yes, wrestling ability, no.

taker? nope. couldn't wrestle his way out of a wet paper bag.

austin? maybe back in the day (to which i might add sting beat austin :P)

the rock maybe. he started off pretty bad, but by the end he was startin to get a lot better. too bad he went off to be a movie star, but a mans gotta do what a mans gotta do.

hogan? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH. one of the worst wrestlers EVER. "he doesn't know a wrist lock from a wristwatch". even in his prime he was horrible. his best "wrestling" was in his nwo hollywood era when he was a heel. so he would do the typical eye gouge, back rake, choke, etc moves.
red and yellow hogan: get beat up for 5 min, hulk up, 3 punches, big boot, leg drop.

as i stated in my last post. the only person that has been in the wwe that angle has faced and is similar to sting is hbk. he and sting have a somewhat similar style. both can brawl, and both do the high flyin shit. but sting is a more solid wrestler then hbk.

sting has the experience and the know how. angles been in there with some of todays best yes..but sting has pretty much wrestled anyone who is anyone in wrestling...even the under card guys. from the big stars like austin, goldberg, hogan, savage..to the big guys: the giant, hall, nash, big boss man, typhoon, the wall...to the ground/submission guys: ric flair, arn anderson, bret hart, steven regal, chris benoit, etc. even under card guys like alex wright, buff bagwell, vampiro, etc. ....harley race, rick rude, ricky steam boat, muta, chono....omg!!!, lol.

he pretty much wrestled everyone there was to wrestle in the wcw from the time he got their to the time it ended.

angles resume is nothing compared to stings.

sting for the win! *scorpio then puts on his sting foam finger which he got in 1992 and waves to mkgeek*

One big difference you're forgetting... Angle's still pretty much just as good as he has always been, and Sting is passed his prime...

Yay 1992! Anyway, hat makes Taker such a bad Wrestler? He is really Athletic for his age and Size. I bet it's just the Championship blues. Whenever someone gets the title, everybody just starts heting them. Why?

You my friend are a moron, imo. Case in point when you said "taker? nope. couldn't wrestle his way out of a wet paper bag"? What's wrong with you? He's a better wrestler than both Regal and Steiner could ever hope to be (did you not see any of his recent matches and those with Angle?), and in terms of wrestling ability, I agree that Regal has some, but I'd hardly put him in caliber with Sting or Angle, same with Steiner. And like ~Crow~ said, Stinger's past his prime, all beit so is Angle, but both are hardly what they used to be. Sting's wrestled some big names back in the day, I know, and it's an impressive list, but Angle is no slouch either, and I ain't talking just in a pro ring, don't forget Angle can out wrestle Sting with his amateur background, which, btw, The Stinger doesn't have. Still, it'll be an impressive match, but I still will give the nod to Angle, so *mkgeek takes scropio's little foam finger and shoves it where scorpio has the most room* tongue grin

sting is just as good now as he was 10-15 years ago. watch a match from as early as 94-95..and watch a match now. he hasnt lost a step at all. i have every sting match on tape :P (well not EVERY one..just all the ones that were televised/ppv)

my prob with taker has nothing to do him bein champ. i didnt even know he was champ, lol. it just falls into the typical "big guy" catagory. his entire offense is nothing more then punches and closelines. hes just like nash, except more "durable", lol. if it wasnt for his dead man image, he jsut would have been another big guy vince was tryin to make a buck off of.

HAHA, YES!!! Thats whatchu get Redman for trying to spam this thread. The only reason ya'll got away with spamming the Drive-by thread to get it to 10000 was because the thread was built for spam.

In this thread, a regular poster of in here should get the 10,000th post seeing as to how they were part of making it successful. Also, TheMKGeek should be rewarded too for this. After all, it is his thread. grin

Hulk Hogan's best wrestling wasn't in the nWo era, not at all. He was a decent wrestler in japan, performing moves like armdrags, wristlocks, wristlock takedowns, headlocks, hammerlocks and armbars.

Undertaker is a good wrestler, he could defenetely wrestle his way out of a paper bag. He's not a better wrestler than Scott Steiner, though, and I'm not being biased on that. But comparing him to Kevin Nash is horribly wrong, almost pornographic. Kevin Nash = Hulk Hogan - Charisma - Japan days. Undertaker = Hulk Hogan + Consistent Quality.

Sting has got to be the most over rated piece of crap of all time. Not to say he's a piece of crap, but Jesus Christ Kurt Angle is so much better than him. He was never better than Bret Hart or Chris Benoit IMO. Charismatic? Maybe, for the 80s and early 90s but I hate his promos. I dont see how he's as good now as he used to be, but yeah I do think he's still as boring as he was before.

Like I said, I'm begging you to study more Taker matches (the three disk Taker dvd!), jesus I could school you on Taker! Watch some of his classics against Lesner and Angle, hell, watch Taker/Angle from NWO from I believe last year or 2005, one of the two, and he used allot more moves than you've listed. See, you just gotta read Zent's posts, he knows more than I do, cause he's in the business, but I like to think I know allot, and, I know you're a noob when it comes to wrestling, and I can forgive your ignorance, but take the time to study a subject more before you discuss it, so you don't come off as a total moron! grin tongue

Yes, people have to realize that no matter how much they trash Hogan, the man helped make wrestling what it is today, and, imo, without him, well, let's just say wrestling wouldn't be anywhere near what it is today.

Thank you, finally someone agrees with me about Sting! To say that Sting had some if his best matches against Regal, or my gosh he even mentioned Alex Wright, who is/was nothing more than a jobber, and WCW did nothing with Regal, so to put him in the same breath as Sting, wow. Sting wrestled some good wrestlers in Hogan, Flair, Steiner (when Steiner wrestled), and others, but he's no spring chicken any more, and Angle is better than him.

Here are the matches and previews for Impact tonight:

>> Kurt Angle vs. Sting (Should be great match)
>> NWA Tag Team champions The Steiner vs. Scott Steiner and Tomko.
>> Jerry Lynn & Petey Williams, Serotonin, Jay Lethal & Sonjay Dutt, Alex Shelley & Shark Boy with the winning team getting a Sacrifice X-Division championship bout against Chris Sabin at the Sacrifice PPV.
>> Expect a big angle with Team Cage.
>> Eric Young will be forced to reveal the identity of his "Friend" by Robert Roode.

** The Latest Backstage News On The Randy Orton Situation **
(Sources: PWInsider.com Audio, Wrestling Observer Newsletter)

-- When the story of Randy Orton’s trashed hotel room first got out people in the locker room under the impression that he had been fired on the spot, which obviously wasn't the case. There are now reports coming out that the damages to his hotel room were in excess of $50,000. Orton is definitely in hot water right now and there are people within the company who are surprised that he still hasn’t been fired yet. WWE officials are very upset about the situation, especially after having given him so many chances in the past, but it doesn‘t look like they will be releasing or suspending him.

oh, and don't waste your time on that warrior 1 supershow dvd, guys. it's not 'bad' but there are way better shows out there - torymon! grin. only had about three good matches and the video was way outa color ballance - shitty lighting. also the commentating was the most horrid shit i've ever heard in my life.

I'm so glad summer is arriving cause that means working more shows!!!! More work, more money, more fun! Cant wait for the biker convention show in June.

Also, TheMkGeek, Alex Wright was a great wrestler. Being a jobber doesn't mean anything. Kevin Nash was a main eventer and look at him. HORRIBLE wrestler. Alex Wright was fantastic, and speaking of him, he's one of the reasons why our ring hasn't arrived yet! We ordered the ring from a great pro but he didn't ship it for a long time because he was busy shipping rings to King Booker and Alex Wright. Damn them. Oh well, ring will arrive soon I hope, training begins again this saturday!

Nash, the worst? Man, i was starting to like you. How can you not like Big Sexy Kevin Nash. He might not be as durible, but he is pretty Agile for a guy his size. There aren't many 7 foot people that could do what he did as Desiel. Now, The Giant Gonzolez (El' Gigante) He was terrible. But even Great Khali makes The Giant look good. What about Kurgan? Reese? Big Guido? Big Show? if your gonna point out big guys that are peices of crap, please compare it to them. Not to Nash.
