Some sad news to report:

* Dave Meltzer is reporting that former ECW World Heavyweight Champion Mike Awesome (real name Michael Alfonso) has passed away. He was found dead on Saturday evening in the Tampa area according to those close to the family. He was only 42 years old.

At about 10:30 p.m. on Saturday night, friends were going to his home in Tampa, Florida to pick him up and go out. He never answered the door and they found him hanging in the home. The death is believed to be due to suicide pending results of the autopsy.

We're very saddened to hear this terrible news and send our condolences to the Alfonso family as well as the co-workers, friends and fans of the former champion.

Lita, Trish.....why have you left us in such Dark Times, I have little hope for this years wrestlemania, i wanna go back to the Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit days...or Erlier.

The trish vs Mickie match last year was one of the best womens matches i ever seen it looks like the woman division with the retirement of lita and trish is offically down hill. I watched raw last night for the first time in a while. And i am sad to say wrestlemania is goign to stink this year. If it was micheals vs taker i would enjoy it but shawn vs I can't wrestle cena and taker vs batista will be a snore fest. Weak tag team divisions in both Shows. The only match i am really looking forward to is the money in the bank those are always fun. On the positive I am glad Mr. Perfert Curt Henning is going into the hall he derserves it. A heck of a wrestler one of the best of his time who never got a world title shot.

Benoit making Batista tap would be lovely sight to see. Though Vince's penchant for pushing huge guys w/ no tangible skills won't allow that to happen. All I can hope for is a great Benoit/Kennedy feud.

And Gail Kim owns both of those Divas.

I don't mind Melina. She's not the best wrestler, but she at least plays her character well. And I thought her last two matches with Mickie James were pretty entertaining.

But Ashley.....yeah, she's hot. What else can she do? She can't wrestle at all and personally, I think she's boring. That's how it is with a lot of the divas in the WWE. They're hot...but how many have an real charisma or can actually do anything?
I'm also just a Mickie James mark and I'm pissed that she's getting the shaft from Wrestlemania to make room for Ashley, who's only getting pushed because she was in Playboy.

I'm not surprised, because it's not the first time...but I'm still disappointed.

I would love to have seen Mickie vs. Gail in a match. That could've been cool since Gail does a lot of submission moves and Mickie plays the underdog good.

Melina was never in Playboy; but yeah, I agree. The Diva segments in WWE have gotten worse since the departures of Trish and Lita, and hell, even Gail Kim and Miss "Tennesee" Jackie Moore (Not Jackie Gayda Haas) to TNA. And Zent, I agree, Mickie James is way overrated.
