I'm defenetely not getting the new game. It has a shit roster and it doesn't look like it's much better than the last one. The next wrestling game I get is probably going to be the TNA one.

Me, and I'm getting it on PSP. I disagree with Zentile on the games' roster, sure some of it is crap, but that's not reason enough to totally shit all over the game, epecially if you ain't played it yet. Play it and then form an opinion on it, like I plan to, and Zent, I think your opinion of the game might change!

I also plan to get the TNA game as well, and hopefully some site like IGN or Gamespot will finally get some new info on it as soon as Midway is smart enought to leak out any tidbits.

Lol I dont really care about video games, or playing them per se. The only reason why I still buy videogames it's because of the characters I want to play as. I buy the Saint Seiya games because I'm a fan of saint seiya, and I buy wrestling games because I like certain wreslters in the roster. I dont really care about the gameplay anymore. For this smackdown, I'd buy it if it had Jamie Noble, London and Kendrick and Jimmy Yang. But it doesn't, so...

AN UPDATE ON SATURDAY'S EVENT CANCELLATION IN CONNECTICUT

On Saturday, TNA Wrestling was forced to cancel a live event in Bloomfield, Connecticut, after police and local officials arrived without prior notification and informed TNA representatives of their decision to not allow the show to take place.

Once again, TNA Wrestling would like to apologize to all of our fans in Connecticut that came out for the event, only to be turned away from the building by police.

TNA Wrestling is still puzzled by some of the reasons given by police and local officials regarding their decision. Other wrestling groups hold shows monthly throughout Connecticut, yet they have never been forced to cancel their events.

Oh speaking of awesome matches, brothers, you guys HAVE to watch KENTA vs Bryan Danielson for the ROH world's title. It's abso fucking lutely beautiful. The GHC title match between Marafuji and Nigel McGuiness owns too. And I heard some great stuff about Nigel vs Bryan, but I havent watched them yet. ROH is kicking some major ass this year thanks to Nigel, KENTA, Danielson and Davey Richards.

Is this actually true? Is it on the PS2 version if it is?

I've seen so many KENTA matches lately that I can't even remember who exactly he was fighting in half of them, but they were all great. So I think i've seen KENTA vs Danielson. Either that or KENTA vs Danielson vs Joe. I'm still trying to track down Marufuji vs McGuiness, really looking forward to seeing that. I've seen McGuiness vs Danielson though, but I can't remember where I found it. It was a ton of fun to watch anyway. Also Danielson vs Marufuji, that was great.

And yes, I hereby proclaim Davey Richards the king, even though I only discovered him about three weeks ago. I watched Davey Richards vs Low Ki in IWA: MS a couple of days ago, and it was excellent. They both make really, really good use of the shoot stuff. Especialy Ki. He never ceases to amaze me. It also never ceases to piss me off the way TNA handle him. He should be up there getting clean victories over AJ and Daniels, not losing to X-Div midcarders. Whatever.

My favourite ROH match this year though, of all the great stuff, was probably Danielson vs Shelley for the ROH title at Arena Warfare. Hard to pick just one, but I lurved it. It's incredible how ROH just keep going from strength to strength, no matter how many of their top guys leave. Shit, Danielson could probably walk out of ROH tomorrow and it would still be a fantastic promotion. Here's hoping the fan base keeps growing.

Well I havent seen Shelley versus Danielson yet; what show was that on? But man I doupt it can be much better than KENTA vs Danielson or Nigel vs Marafuji :P

as for montey, ive never liked him. he always reminded me of a crappy version+mix of the rock and goldberg. i guess the wwe thinks theyre gaining something? i jsut hope tna quits taking wwe talent. angle was fine, as hes a good WRESTLER. id like to see benoit as well..tna needs to use the roster it has and stop signing x wwe dudes. dont forget who got you here tna

anyone else think that tna needs more titles? they have the heavyweight, xdivision, and the tag titles. i think they need 1 or 2 more...but only if they get a longer show..or perhaps even a second show.

See, that's the beauty of TNA. They don't need a dozen titles to prove that they're better than WWECW. TNA puts on better matches than WWE any day of the week. Period. So, TNA's three titles MORE than equal E's...12? lol

And it probably wasn't really better than KENTA/AmDrag or Nigel/Maru, but i'm a huge Shelley mark, and I don't get to see him work matches to his full potential (ie: outside of TNA), so...

I think when they go two hours, if they do it right, I think TNA could have the best womens division in the states. Get the womens NWA beslt in there, that would be tight. I like only three titles, though. It makes them worth something, IMO. It's like, the wrestlers are working for something grand and special. There's meaning behind the title when they win it - especially the HW and tag, with all that history and lineage behind them.

Again, though, shitty russo bookings and quick title changes destroy that appeal. :shrugs:

Pretty decent show tonight. Started out a bit slow, but it built up to something really enjoyable. It's funny, I'm used to this super compact, intense show from TNA. When they have two hours it seams kind of slow. Doesn't really seam to be their style; you know, a bit more methodical. Good shit all around, though. Crowd was HOT AS HELL for angle. Holy crap, that was awsome. Enjoyed the x-div three way, despite the title change. Don't know wtf they're doing with that shit.

Petey getting air time is sweet. Gail throwing down ranna's is top tier as always. Great six sides of steal and nice main event. Sabin as heel seams as though it will work, expecially after the comrad-ship that seamed to have been devloped with lethal/dutt, etc.
