I'm going to Genesis so TNA better put on one of their best shows ever. And me, also being a Shelly mark will have a big Total Nonstop @LX sign. Tell me if ya see me on TV when I get back. Well then, where has my favorite Raven gone? Ugh...I was looking forward to seeing Raven at the PPV or Shelley vs. Starr. But ehh them teaming up is still fine i guess. Shelley better kick some ass in that match.

Hey everyone. Everyone's favorite Phoenix breaking down tonight's TNA Genesis PPV, among other things. Here we go:

The Naturals (Andy Douglas and Chase Stevens) vs. Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt
IMO, this is not the match the Natuals should be in tonight. They've been having solid outings since having Shane Douglas join them, and when they turned on him a couple weeks ago, that should've been it for the Franchise. The Naturals are probably a better team without him anyway. Multi-time NWA Tag champs before he came along, and thats EXACTLY where they should be tonight, but I guess this would solidify their heel turn, so w/e. Hopin for Dutt and Lethal to come out on top. Would someone give Sonjay the X-title shot he needs already??
Winners: Sonjay Dutt and Jay Lethal

The Robert Roode Open Challenge:
Someone get this guy off this crazy gimmick. This Macho Man/Curt Henning/JBL mix is going to kill his career so fast. Granted, Traci Brooks is a top-tier player in TNA pretty much since the beginning, I don't think thats going to help Roode here. He needs to go solo, and work his way up the heavyweight ranks without any help. Knowing TNA though, they're going to give Roode the victory, so w/e
Winner: Bobby Roode

Voodoo Kin Mafia (BG James and Kip James vs. Frankie Kazarian, Matt Bentley and Johnny Devine:
The VKM has got to be the boldest thing TNA has done against WWE to date. But tonight they have to get through Bentley, Frankie K. and Johnny Devine. Whatever happened to Devine with Alex Shelly? *shrugs* oh, well. VKM is going to make quick work of these guys.
Winners: The Vookoo Kin Mafia

Ron "The Truth" Killings and Lance Hoyt vs. Alex Shelly and Austin Starr:
I'm calling for Truth and Hoyt to win this match. Shelly and Starr do not like each other at all. Expect Shelly to walk out on Starr or something to that effect, and then a fued to start up between Starr and Shelly. I would actually look forward to that fued if it does happen.
Winners: Ron Killings and Lance Hoyt

A.J. Styles vs. Christian Cage:
This could be match of the night here. You have Christian Cage, a former NWA World Champion who is actually right in saying that he never lost the NWA title, and is almost hellbent on getting it back. A.J. Styles, a 7-time TNA X-Division champion, who has gotten screwed out of the title on two occasions. Looking for revenge, Styles is going to take Cage to the limit.
Winner: A.J. Styles

"The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels vs. Chris Sabin for the TNA X-Division Championship:
Another match of the night hopeful. Daniels and Sabin are two of the staples of TNA. Look for Sabin to capatialize early on, but Daniels to hold out, and retain, setting up Sabin to possibly turn his back on the X-Division.
Winner: Christopher Daniels

The Latin American Xchange vs. America's Most Wanted w/Gail Kim for the NWA World Tag Team Championships:
It doesn't matter who you are, LAX has to go down tonight. The attempted burning the American flag..I'm sorry, but that was a bad idea on TNA's part to clear that storyline, but Petey Williams making the save for the US was the only saving grace here. Williams is going to interfere, nailing the Canadaian Destroyer on someone on LAX, and allowing AMW to pick up the win, and send "Hotstuff" Hernandez and "Notorious 187" Homicide out the door.
Winners: America's Most Wanted

Match of the Decade: Samoa Joe vs. Kurt Angle
Since Samoa Joe debuted in TNA, people worldwide have been literally dreaming of this match (me included). This match is going to be off the wall. personally, I don't think the Impact! Zone will be able to contain these two. You can see the respect, but also a sense of hatred in these two I have not seen since the Edge/Matt Hardy fued a couple years ago in WWE. Seriously tough call, but I think Kurt Angle will finally end Samoa Joe's winning streak.
Winner: Kurt Angle

Sting vs. Abyss for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship:
Sting has been on a roll since taking out Jeff Jarrett at BFG. With "The King of th Mountain" out of the picture, Abyss has stepped up, and taken the top heel spot in TNA. Another close call, but I think Sting will be able to pull it out.
Winner: Sting

ok, on to WWE news:
The Hardyz teaming back up at Survivor Series has been my dream since they broke up in '02. They two are magic in the ring, and hopefully they stay together after this. Heyman invited them to ECW, a couple days ago, and hopefully they'll accept and stay over there. But that would mean Hardy has to drop the title to *shudders* Nitro again..w/e. Go Hardyz.

Other than that, I really don't much to say for this month. As always, Keep flyin',

Phoenix EDIT: If you have not been able to get the new Best of X-Division DVD, get it now! I bought it this weekend, and was just blown away by it. If you call yourself any kind of fan of TNA, you need this DVD.

Firesnake, in regards to Angle still being in the game, you gotta remember; Angle jumped just about a month ago. When SDVR07 was being made, Angle was still on the WWE roster. As far as the rest of the game goes, I can't really hate on it, only because I haven't played it yet. I'm looking forward to it, though. Still waiting for the TNA to come out. I know its going to pwn every wrestling game to date. lol

It was good, but not great or MOTY worthy, IMO. Not even 15 minutes and I expected a little more tech and a few high spots, but meh. The crowd was hot as fuck,so it made the match pretty decent.

Though, once again, Russo's booking fucks everything up. Sigh. You know, the guy has good ideas, but he just can't mesh them or make them mean anything. The belts seam to not mean shit to him, apparently. Didn't like the announcement Jim gave regarding lax and the titles - I'm sure he was grinding his teeth the entire time, too. Hopefully this will play out.

Was an ok show, but the crowd seamed realy dead aside from a few matches. LAX/AMW was pretty good, albeit a bit sloppy. One of the few matches the crowd was into. I think it's shitty how gail, and all women in wrestling period, are made to look all weak and shit. I know MANY females who are tough as nails and can whoop massive ass. Hell, before I stopped watching E i saw Lita take that dive right on her face, almost breaking her neck. She poped right back up and gutted out the rest of the match. I would have been paralyzed.

Glad to see Abyss get the stap. And it was by far stings best match in TNA. Though, again, shitty Russo booking devaluing the belt, leaving you to scratch your head. Sabin is a much better heel than face, too. Nash was funny as hell and the match was pretty decent - though, it better have considering who was in it.

Honestly, i felt a bit dissapointed. Crowd was dead for the most part. Nasty booking and the wrestling was a bit sloppy.

Ok, are you on drugs??! Abyss is the equivalent of everything wrong with the Mankind gimmik and the Kane gimmik, and that's not a good thing. For another point, what the hell was he doing in a World title match, he deserves it about as much as Brother Runt! AJ Styles was better suited for another World Title run, hell, even Killings! And what is this crap with titles changing on a fucking DQ? That's got to be the biggest load of shit! Thank god WWE isn't that stupid! And as far as this match being Sting's best in TNA, I never watched it last night, but I can guess that he's had better matches in TNA, and this is IMO.

I agree with most of what you said, but abyss does deserve a title match, only he deserves to be in the title match and get is ass kicked.

AJ has a while until they give him he title again, they are too busy trying to keep other wrestlers on the roster by giving them what they want.

Abyss loses cleanly to Kurt Angle, and then gets a world title match and wins. May the absurd booking begin.
Although, I do agree with title changes on DQs. It makes a hell of alot more sense that no title changes on DQs, which don't really make any sense at all.

the title show was already his. his loss to angle had no effect on his title shot.

It's stupid booking, Abyss should've been made to look like a true force. How are we supposed to believe he's the best, that he's the world champion, if he TAPPED OUT to Angle? It should've been a no contest, so as to make both guys look great.

Hey we weren't dead at all! I dont know why they didnt pick up some of the sound then because the crowd was hot all night. Seriously going to that event was really awesome, I was in the Pit it was cool except many people there were complete jackasses to me. Im standing in the Pit and I nicely ask this lady if she could scoot over and I could stand where the rail was. Well she snaps back IM WAITING FOR A FRIEND! so i was just like ok alright....Then this other blonde lady had her little kid and kept asking me to move so I did and then theyre like we need the aisle clear in case of fire. So i move back over, and she lies and says her husband will switch spots with me so I move over and then they leave and the guy stays. Ugh stupid people thinking they are better than others.

Anyway, The arena is really cool you can walk all around and I must have seen James Mitchell 4 times just walking around talking to people. You are able to walk through where LAX walks through, (that was really cool) And I almost got to go into the real backstage because I was just walking around during Sabin-Daniels and I got to this one point and I asked the security guard can I walk around here to get to the other side, and he asked if I was related to a wrestler and Im like oh..no. And he goes well I'm not really supposed to let anyone back there.....um......and he thought about it then hes like sorry kid I cant let you back there but i guess you could just go around the other way. He was honestly the nicest person there, even though I wasnt allowed to go to the lockeroom.

Joe/Angle was really awesome if you were there, same with Abyss/Sting. Everyone was just like what the hell? When Sting was raising Abyss on that rope. Anyway it was a really really fun show to be at because the whole time we were chanting and everything so I dont know why we seemed dead out there.

Oh by the way, did you happen to see a Total Nonstop @LX sign while watching? I held it up at the beginning of the Pre-show and during Alex's entrance. Just wondering if it was on TV or not.

Hmmm, well, like i say, I was really tired durring the PPV. Hadn't gotten much sleep the night before so maybe i was just out of it myself and didn't notice the crowd heat.

That's cool you had a great time!! Seriously, it sounds like so much fun. I've got a buddy who lives near gainsville and I've been thinking about making a cross country trip with a few buddies to visit him and watch a PPV. That would be sick. Oh, and I personally didn't see the sign. Though, I was busy preping sushi so I only saw the last half of the pre-show, heh.

Yeah, the thread loads a bit slower I think. Site has been really slow as is, though. But I believe we made vow a while ago to keep the thread going until it destroys MKO. tongue

What's the deal with piper and his surgery? Didn't he and natch win the tag titles or something? I'm out of the E loop, heh.

Yea, Naitch and Hot Rod won the straps from the cheerleaders, then lost to Edge and Orton, then Piper had to get sent home for surgery. Can't wait (if) till he comes back.

Here's hopin the Hardyz do team up, and end up staying on ECW after SSeries. Be nice to try and get a tag div. going there if they're gonna survive.

Well hopefully my sign showed up sometime during the show. Haha I saw myself in a picture on TNAwrestling.com in the exclusive picture of genesis thing. Im in the background when Eric is giving Roode an Elbow Drop. At the end of the show it was really weird/gross, some guy hung his body over the railing and grabbed Angle's band-aid that was on his head and flew off and was like this is going on ebay.... Yeah it was kind of creepy.
