First, to answer firesnake's question, Vince has never thought about, nor plans to, ever bring back WCW! There were plans from the beggining to try it out as it's own brand, but after the Booker T/Buff Bagwell crapfest on Raw, Vince decided against keeping WCW around. Also, when he couldn't sign the top guys, that kinda killed it. Now, I don't think he'd want to bother, and there isn't really a call for it.

It was actually more Vince not willing to make that big of an effort to get the top guys than him not being able to. It's like saying WWE "couldn't" get the rights to "Enter Sandman" or that WWE "couldn't" go back to being WWF. It's all a matter of them willing to be able to do what's necessary to get what they want/need.

True. You make good points. And from the looks of things, I'm kinda glad I missed ECW on Sci-Fi!

With ECW coming back, that's good, and all Vince really needs. They had their own cult following, and it made sense to resurrect the brand after the sucess of ONS last year, and the awesome sales of the 3 ECW dvds put out last year. For WCW, nobody really wants to see it brought back, I know I don't, cause the brand wass kinda dead and buried when Vince bought it, and if you can't get any of the old top WCW guys to come back, it wouldn't make too much sense to try to resurrect WCW. And if TNA can establish itself more, then that would be good. I want TNA to succeed, they're just starting to get good.

What I've thought would be cool, and to bad it'll never happen, is if ECW can get established on it's own, and have it's own World Champion, and if Vince was on good terms with NWA still, then we could see dream scenerios, where the ECW, Raw, Smackdown, and TNA World Champions could compete for brand supremecy, just like back in the old territory days, and the brands could trade stars back and fourth, freshening up their talent and brands, it could help the business a great deal.

Talent exchange? Like with the old territories? Like with the indies now? That's insane to think. Can you imagine if Vince allowed a TNA champion to wrestle on WWE tv? That'd be instant free publicity for TNA. And a WWE wrestler on TNA tv? There's no way Vince would allow his talent to work elsewhere. That's why vince became a billionaire. Offering the wrestlers superstar exclusive contracts was part of the strategy he used to make sure the WWF would destroy the territories. There's no way it could ever happen, unless of course, Vince went insane.

Enjoyed TNA tonight, though, I've seen better wrestling from them. I found the main event to be suprisingly entertaining; I just feel bad for Raven...he looks like total shit. sad

Gail needs to start wrestling; I mean really, she does. She's to top tier for this ass and titties BS. Maybe if / when they get some decent female wrestlers. Hell, get some japanese female wrestler in there for a single gig or something. I guaran-damn-tee that the fans would dig a quality female match.

Here's to RTTK winning the belt on sunday. tongue

Edit: Dude elated that Cena lost the title
Not sure if anyone has seen this, kinda stupid, kinda funny, meh.

IF JBL is the color commentator for Smackdown then I'm going to stop watching SD. Nothing against JBL but can't SD provide better programming? SD keeps on getting suckier every week. Now I'll just watch RAW and ECW. If the DX/Spirit Squad becomes lame then I'll just watch ECW from now on.

Ya better be prepared to stop watching Smackdown, cause:

Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
JBL is the new voice of Smackdown. I read the spoilers and he came out in his limo, and got on the house mic to say that it's true, he's the new voice of Smackdown.

Im not really into wrestling much anymore but i watch some of that ECW show on scifi what a disgrace.WWE should have had it on usa but scfi offered more money now ECW show is screwed having dumb scifi gimmicks every week its a joke. And then theres the whole arena issue the show is live after SD so you got wwe crowd filled with old people and young kids eww.So the atomphere of ecw is not there they should just stop this angle before it gets worst this might get worst then that Alliance angle from years ago.

You have to understand why they do it this way. SmackDown! is taped on Tuesday (but would first air on Thursdays, then on Fridays) so that the ring/TV crew wouldn't have such a tough schedule; it would also mean that the wrestlers and this same crew wouldn't have to pay hotel rent for several days between RAW & SD! Now they have this third show and the same logic applies. Is it the right thing to do from a "ECW-atmosphere" perspective? No. Is it the right thing to do from a financial perspective? Yes.

This is what's wrong with TNA. Every bloody time, it's so frustrating to see. Every single PPV, TNA's best assets, the X-Division, are all thrown in some spotfest that we've seen a thousand times before. Any two of those guys could wrestle an extraordinarily good half hour match against each other, yet they're all getting lost in the mix again in another high paced and completely forgettable 6 way match. Weak. Seen it all already. I'd love to see a nice long Shelley vs Williams match for a change, or a great Jay Lethal vs Low Ki match. Even Shark Boy vs Dutt has the potential to be a fantastic match if they'd only give them a chance. Oh well, at least they're keeping ROH in business.

But if I ever find the man that came up with that damned "X style" of wrestling I think i'm going to pummel him into the ground. Or apply a 3 minute headlock and watch him explode due to severe ADHD. And damn Shelley and Dutt for introducing it into Japan. Kidding. I could never stay mad at Shelley. <3

TNA PPV comin' up. Finally Steiner has a singles match on pay per view... too bad he'll lose because Samoa Joe has that shit undefeated streak.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hclT8KyFBxQ&search;=scott%20steiner

Awesome hype video. Steiner's the best at insulting opponents on promos. heh. Does anyone still remember when DDP was so pissed off they actually fought backstage? Obviously Steiner kicked DDP's ass. ''Dallas Page should get a sex change. Maybe then he'd have the balls to face me". Aha, Steiner's the man. "See that Joe? That's a veign. Something you dont have you little fat bastard."

Predictions:

King of the Mountain: Christian Cage

Samoa Joe vs. Steiner: Samoa Joe will win, though I wish Steiner would beat his ass. I just saw that this match is billed as ''who is truly unstoppable?''. I guess TNA hasn't noticed how they've booked Steiner as losing every single match he's been in.

World Tag Titles match - Rematch time. AJ and Daniels get the victory this time. I'd usually say Daniels would turn on AJ this time but he turned faced just a little while ago so I don't think he'll turn heel again so soon.

Nash vs. Sabin - Nash has been crushing all the X division wrestlers. So there's no way Sabin is going to lose. Nash better start putting guys over because I am so sick and tired of his shit.

Rhyno vs. Team Canada - Rhyno chose TNA over WWE. TNA is known for rewarding its workers so I'm sure he'll win this ppv match.

James Gang vs. Team 3D - Team 3D for sure. These guys are just weeks away from winning the tag titles. Thank god.

X Division Ranks thing - I honestly have no idea! Jay Lethal and Alex Shelley may be the best wrestlers in the match but Petey WIlliams and Senshi are more likely going to win. I predict victory for Senshi.

Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
**SPOILER** TNA's New Management Head Revealed
The new "face of TNA Management" is Jim Cornette.

Cornette is already en route to Orlando since he doesn't fly. It's important that this be a major pivotal moment for TNA as they no longer have Larry Zbyszko as their crutch for haphazard finishes and heels going over with the same tactics every week on TV and every month on PPV.

ECW dropped the ball last week and TNA has the chance to score with it by showing the world that in 2006, they are the true alternative. A phenomenal Cornette promo, followed by evidence of a true change in how things are done, would be a big step forward.
