HOUSE SHOW IN PHILLY:
- Rhino defeated Jeff Jarrett with a Gore after ducking a guitar shot. On the mic, Rhino said he was offered a contract to go back to WWE, but that he had decided to stick with TNA.

- Team 3D stayed on the mic for a while, thanking the fans and then brought out AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels and proclaimed them the "future" of wrestling. Brother Runt came back out, and pulled out a WWE contract, saying WWE had offered him the chance to wrestle for ECW for "one night only". He then tore up the contract, saying that he was sticking with TNA.

Nice move. I wonder if they could've done it on TV instead, though? Probably not.

I guess they brought back DX early otherwise RAW will go down the tubes after the spectacular show of One Night Stand last night. Smackdown! is already down the tubes. Smackdown will die in my opinion. The only wrestling shows I will watch will be ECW and RAW. IF RAW does any worse then just ECW.


Also, if McMahon was smart. He will resurrect WCW and have Bischoff in charge of WCW. Having SMACKDOWN!, RAW, ECW, and WCW will make federations like TNA obselete in my opinion.

Raw was pretty decent tonight. Wish the wrestling was a bit crisper, though. I have to admit, seeing HBK and HHH doing what they do was great to see. Thought it was lame how Ross was like "DX has reunited!!" Kinda takes the steam out of the build up, but whatever.

Still find it funny that ECW is going to be on Sci-Fi, lol. I really hope it wont be watered down to much. Both for the sake of the ECW brand itself but, it will also push TNA, as well.

I loved the WCW, ECW and ECW aera's, and i liked their wrestlers and Feuds, jope they will make it.

i think it would be rather pointless to bring back wcw now.

First, to answer firesnake's question, Vince has never thought about, nor plans to, ever bring back WCW! There were plans from the beggining to try it out as it's own brand, but after the Booker T/Buff Bagwell crapfest on Raw, Vince decided against keeping WCW around. Also, when he couldn't sign the top guys, that kinda killed it. Now, I don't think he'd want to bother, and there isn't really a call for it.

With ECW coming back, that's good, and all Vince really needs. They had their own cult following, and it made sense to resurrect the brand after the sucess of ONS last year, and the awesome sales of the 3 ECW dvds put out last year. For WCW, nobody really wants to see it brought back, I know I don't, cause the brand wass kinda dead and buried when Vince bought it, and if you can't get any of the old top WCW guys to come back, it wouldn't make too much sense to try to resurrect WCW. And if TNA can establish itself more, then that would be good. I want TNA to succeed, they're just starting to get good.

What I've thought would be cool, and to bad it'll never happen, is if ECW can get established on it's own, and have it's own World Champion, and if Vince was on good terms with NWA still, then we could see dream scenerios, where the ECW, Raw, Smackdown, and TNA World Champions could compete for brand supremecy, just like back in the old territory days, and the brands could trade stars back and fourth, freshening up their talent and brands, it could help the business a great deal.

I'm all about dream matches, but I don't EVER want to see TNA/NWA associate themselves with WWE. WWE is the crusty butt of wrestling, with a shiny wax applied to it.

Benoit vs Angle highlight Anyone remembers this?!? This got to be one of the best match in the WWE history. But now nor SmackDown! (except Chris Benoit ) and nor Raw do have great technican wrestlers. Most of those wrestlers are trying to be one of the best heel wrestlers and are not focusing on their wrestling ability.

Since it's been a common opinion, I'll restate:

HHH is too good in-ring to be a face character. I don't think DX will last unless HHH doesn't get another title push anytime soon.

In the ECW last night, we saw the science of Tommy Dreamer being thrown through a table with incredible force, courtesy of the Big Show. We also saw the fiction of professional wrestling. Therefore:

Tables + Pro Wrestling = Sci Fi Channel hit.

ECW as good yesterday/.

ECW is in hot water.

That Zombie was Sci Fi's chairman and the "growls" he made was a warm welcome to ECW for being on their channel. The zombie, totally confused by Sandman's unprovoked attack met with the other Sci Fi ghouls in charge and discussed getting ECW off the air.

It was actually more Vince not willing to make that big of an effort to get the top guys than him not being able to. It's like saying WWE "couldn't" get the rights to "Enter Sandman" or that WWE "couldn't" go back to being WWF. It's all a matter of them willing to be able to do what's necessary to get what they want/need.

Wow...I'm reading this ECW recap stuff and I'm just amazed. Not only does it sound like it was an extrodinarily shity show, but the backstage antics sound awfull. Sounds like it was a total botch botch, both in ring, creatively and executively. Kind of wish I would have seen it, now. Just to see how crappy it was, lol.

it all comes down to creative control, vince mcmahon and his bunch of lackeys has it....NOT paul heyman. if paul heyman were allowed to run the show the way it should be, we would be chanting ecw right now. instead were chanting bullshit. i've loved ecw for a very long time,but as of right now, unless things change(which knowing mcmahon they won't), they should've left ecw dead.
