Great match, really something special to see on Smackdown! obviously. Batista shows everyone why he's been such a good champion though... heartfelt goodbye, and that is why I feel he was a better champ than Cena. Cena's character never let any of that emotion through, and it wouldn't have hurt him to break character for it really.

Anyway, the crowd loved Angle. I think this move was to give Angle perhaps a face push... after all, the crowds have adored him lately. The chant was even a mixed "You suck" and "You rock". Regardless of the chant though, the huge majority were cheering for him.

Its just a little early to say Edge is even possibly the baddest champ you have ever seen, don't you think?




That match with Edge and Eddie was what got me really into wrestling. Before it I had been watching it in and out, that match got me though. Been a fan of Eddie (R.I.P.) and Edge since.

The reason I defended Edge as champion earlier is because of this... a lot of people are giving him a hard time. So it takes talent and character to be a world champion, right? Not really. Look at John Cena (the character). You call that in ring ability? Taking a beating and proceeding to use the 5 moves of doom is not ability at all. Cena himself is a decent wrestler, but he's not godly or anything. Edge has more experience and frankly, his matches have always been more entertaining. I'd prefer if he'd go back to using the Edgecution more often, though. The spear as his lone finisher isn't so good.


Anyway, another small note about Smackdown... it was edited. The crowd was loudly chanting "You Rock!" instead of "You Suck!" according to people that attended. The WWE has seemingly edited that out and replaced it with the You Suck chant. If you read the crowds' lips you can see they were actually saying "Rock" and not "Suck".


A storyline note for Orlando Jordan:

Former TNA "diva" Trinity will be introduced as a male/female love interest for Jordan. Jordan's character will apparently become bisexual.

Pretty good show. Angle is gold. Good openning promo by Tista. I'm actually happy he's getting some time off. He can rest up, take a break from the pain pills. When he comes back he'll be even larger, physically.

Wow, that was one of the better over the top rope matches I've seen. I'm not a big Henry fan but they did a decent job on keeping him active. Kind of wanted a Rey Rey vs. Angle to end it, but I knew it wasn't going to happen. Lashley and Henry was colossus, too; but, not as much as that Angle Slam!!! Good lord, I was like "WOOOOOOO!!!" Kurts intensity was fantastic, all around.

Jordan in a Bi Angle? Man, they keep giving him shit, lol. Poor guy.

The Battle Royal won by Kurt Angle was simply awesome..........

I'd enjoy if it the Taker won, which I'm sure he will one more time before he retires. That being said, he will have to work a full schedule. This 'two appearences a month' stuff won't work if he's the champion.


That being said, if he can pull a full schedule, I'd love to see the Deadman make one last long run. Perhaps losing the belt/passing the Torch to Orton.
