Forthcoming Draft Confirmed for the Supershow; Details; More

Yesterdays Chicago Sun-Times has any article by BlackJack Brown on the forthcoming Draft that will occur NEXT week, April 18 at the Supershow at Madison Square Gardens. The article speculates on some of the candiates to be moved and how the draft will probably be improved quality wise compared to last years.

The article also notes WWE will be bringing back Saturday Night Main Event in the forthcomming monthes on NBC.

Good news,so the WWE will have a show on NBC now?If so then thats great.WCW Saturday Night was my favorite show to watch on the weekend.Plus it gives people like me without cable to watch something good.

They should've released Lita and Edge instead of Matt.They started all of this.

Saturday night Main Events used to be like A PPV back in the day so the Brand that's not having a PPV in the Month should be like PPV Matches!

Hell, Most of the time, when they Defend the titles at a PPV, they usually end up retaining the Title!!!

WWE.com has announced that there will be a second WWE Diva Search just like last year. They are accepting applications from eligible females starting now.

Think you have got all the qualities of a Diva? WWE is seeking beautiful, glamorous, physically fit, talented and charismatic women to participate in the $250,000 RAW Diva Search. As part of the Search, WWE will host a casting call event where judges will select eight finalists and two alternates based on who best exhibits the qualities of a WWE Diva.

Another Diva Search? Doesn't the WWE already have enough? I suppose they have that kind of money to burn. Sigh...

TNA booker dusty rhodes logic aint too much better,putting his son over people like raven,bullshit.The whole storyline for secretary was useless also.They should bring in Alexis Laree,and some former wwe divas.Get them wrestling again.

I don't really mind Matt Hardy's release, I never cared for him ever sence he moved to Raw. he was so much better on SmackDown and more entertaining to.

Rhyno hasn't been on Raw for pretty much all of 2005, although he was cool. looked like the WWE just gave up with doing anything worthwhile with him. so his release isn't a big deal.

I was surprised by the release of Molly out of no where though. espeically on how extreamly thin the Woman's Division is. so its just Trish Stratus, an Injured Lita, VIctoria with no storyline, and a bimbo who is barly over and isn't even a real wrestler. Its offical, the Woman's Division is offical DEAD.

Matt Hardy's release is no big loss!! He wasn't doing anything worth while any way, and was stuck in a meaningless feud with Kane, so good bye, go to TNA and re-team with Jeff. Jesus is not a stupid release, that guy was dead when he debuted, so good ridence; Rhyno should have stayed though, but I guess you can't blame the WWE for not tolerating behaviour like that, so he and his wife divorced, that ain't no reason to act like an idiot. They should get rid of guys like Heidenreich, Shitnisky, Masters, Orlando Jordon, etc.

Molly Holly wasn't released, did noone watch Raw last night, how the hell can she have been released when she was on the fucking show last night, and unitl I read it from the WWE themselves, I take that with a grain of salt. As for her being the top Diva, Lita and Victoria are better!

I agree that it's stupid for them to be considering another $250,000 Diva search. Vince likes replayng the stupid ideas, which is scary, cause he should learn from WCW, too many stupid ideas can lead to teh demise of your company, and with the way Wrestling is now, Vince can't afford too many more of those!!

As for Vince's logic, I see nothing wrong with that, it's just the idiots he's got working behind the scenes with/for him that are the biggest problem!

What happened with her?

It appears that Molly Holly's departure from WWE was not a cost-cutting move. Molly was unhappy with the company for awhile now and approached WWE last night at RAW about leaving. That is why WWE referred to her release as "mutually agreed upon" earlier today.

It is unlikely that she will be able to use the "Molly Holly" name outside of WWE since WWE owns it. She likely also has the same 90 day no compete clause that Matt Hardy and Rhyno have.

Olympic, I read the SD spoilers as well, and aside from seeing Cena's new version of the title, there's really not much more to interest me. I would be excited for Carlito's show, except for the fact that I think it's pointless! Now I'll be the first to say this, that I disliked the return of Piper's pit in 2003, cause it was crap, but at least Piper is more entertaining than Carlito. Oh well, maybe I'll just watch SD for a laugh tommorow.

My take on why the WWE released Matt instead of Edge and Lita:

I don't think the WWE had any new stories for Matt.It was either fire him or send him to Velocity.I always looked at Matt as a Tag Team wrestler more than a single wrestler.

The reason they didn't release Edge was because the WWE is too desperate for an new superstar.It's not going to work out with Edge,he's been with the WWE waaaaaaay too long for that.

It's plain and simple with Lita:Sex is a powerful thing to some people.

as much as I have no interest in this stupid backstage story with Lita/Edge/Matt. I read the reason Matt Hardy was fired over Edge and Lita was because unlike Edge and Lita, Matt was exposing the story on the internet through his website and if you didn't know, the WWE arn't to king of backstage storys,gossip or news being linked to the internet. so there ya go.

To me, I just think everyone is making to damn of a big deal over this stupid story. Lita is fucking Edge, Edge is fucking Lita, Lita is fucking Matt, Matt is fucking Edge. I DON'T CARE. it really isn't mine or any of our bissniess, let Matt, Edge and Lita deal with it.

I only like wrestlers based on what they do on TV and IMO, I've always like Edge over Matt and though he was a better wrestler. I could see Edge becoming World Champion something this year while all I see for Matt is a couple of IC title runs and thats it.

Hey, I was wondering, do you peeps think that with the current influx of MMA interest, due to either better advertising, the TUF comp and so forth; do you think that wrestling, specifically the WWE, would incorperate more MMA style work? I mean, shit like triangles, clinch work, etc? I think it would be kinda nice. Like not EVERYBODY should be doing it, but it would be nice to see more of it. I think that in a couple of years, more fans will be educated on wtf is going on, in terms of ki-locks. clinches, etc. It could be more appreciated, in terms of psychology, anyways. Meh.
