Some sites have stated that Steve Austin has been arrested in San Antonio. This is not the case, although he has been charged with assault, and the woman assaulted may press charges leading to a possible arrest.

I don't know how this will affect Raw, or if it is even true or not, take it for what you will.

hmmmmm. I bet something happened. The facts may have been exagerated though. O well, guess we'll have to wait till more info is released.......

So the Sheriff broke the law? how ironic.

I don't see how Austin being arrested is a huge blow to Raw. Hes not even doing anything imporant on the show, His sheriff gimick on Raw isn't really needed. its just there.

Who here liked any of Hogan's movies??? (looks around, sees noone's hand raised!) I thought not!
The news:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Word has it that SmackDown has some new feuds brewing. Eddie Guerrero is expected to begin a program against the Big Show soon. Rene Dupree will start to lock horns with John Cena. The newly acquired Booker T will be shows “respect” by The Undertaker.

Last night’s SmackDown received a lot of bad reactions from viewers. One local Grand Rapids TV station issued an apology after helping promote the show. The station reportedly got a ton of phone calls from the viewers. Wow

Smackdown did a 3.3 broadcast rating, with a 5 share. That is down from last week’s 3.5.

Steve Austin will be signing autographs on Saturday 4/3 at the Arkansas Twisters game at the Alltech Arena. For more information you can call 501-975-KICK.

WWE has released the following announcement:

Spike TV will present an encore presentation of RAW this Sunday night beginning at 8 p.m./7 CT, immediately following Sunday Night HEAT.

Relive the historic draft this Sunday on Spike!(Wow, the excitement!)

The following is an article from WWE.com:
The draft lottery ordered by Mr. McMahon brought one of the most wild nights in the history of RAW. Not only was Triple H sent to SmackDown! (he later returned to RAW in a trade for Booker T and the Dudley Boyz), but RAW ultimately featured three championship matches, a change in World Tag Team Champions, and the return of Edge – who is now a member of the RAW roster.

The first night for the “new” RAW comes to you from Cincinnati. What will the reaction of the RAW Superstars be to the wild events of last week? Many Superstars expressed happiness when Triple H was drafted by SmackDown! Now that he’s back, how will they react? Find out on RAW!

Also last week, RAW General Manager Eric Bischoff announced that the main event at Backlash will be Chris Benoit against Shawn Michaels. Will either man have anything to say about this match? Will there be any other announcements concerning Backlash? Watch RAW to find out!

The latest on Kurt Angle is that he's been medically cleared to return to the ring, but WWE officials are limiting his in-ring schedule to pay-per-views and major television events. Angle will, however, be on television each week as the GM of Smackdown. There's been no confirmation as to whether or not he'll be appearing at the Smackdown brand house shows, but it seems likely since Paul Heyman worked a full schedule during his run as GM.

And Mr. Nanny owns your for free. Hogan should work with Segal on Under Seige 3.

Back in good ol' WCW days, there was this fine as f$ck asian girl who cam out in a cheerleader outfit, schoolgirl uniform, or some skirt and would just bounch on a small trampoline. I think she was part of an angle that went along with collegent wrestlers, not sure. Anyways, does anynoe remember her and what her name was?

Here's the news I found today:

The plan right now is for Paul Heyman to return as a heel manager on SmackDown!, and not directly head into his role as head of the rogue ECW company. While WWE is still heavily considering an ECW return, the current plans have Heyman returning as a manager, who will have a huge impact, rather than the commissioner of a new company right away.

If they do go the ECW route, he could technically steal some talent from RAW and SmackDown! during the course of his return. Again, that is still in the plans, but is not the immediate idea for his return. Heyman made his return as Lesnar's manager after WMX8 two years ago, and was responsible for getting Brock Lesnar so over. It should be interesting to see how this plays out.

- Many Smackdown wrestlers were upset that Bubba Ray Dudley was moved to the Smackdown brand. Bubba Ray is not very popular backstage due to his habit of calling all the shots in his matches and more or less only focusing on getting his spots in. D-Von Dudley, however, is well liked backstage.

- Many WWE wrestlers feel that bringing back the older versionf of WWE Titles, such as the 80's Intercontinental Title held by Randy Savage and the Ultimate Warrior, would add historical significance to the titles themselves. One comparison is if the Stanley Cup would have the same historical significance if the NHL kept updating it every few years

Most of the wrestlers backstage were very upset with how WWE handled the draft lottery. RAW wrestlers were not told about the decision to hold a draft until they got to RAW on March 15th, while Smackdown wrestlers didn't become aware of it until Vince McMahon made the announcement on TV. They then were not told their status and where they would end up until they got to RAW on March 22nd. The Smackdown wrestlers were especially upset, due to their tough travel schedule. After working WrestleMania, they worked a house show the next night, followed by the Smackdown taping on Tuesday, and then left for an overseas tour. They then had to rush back to be at RAW on Monday then had to work the Smackdown taping on Tuesday. WWE told workers that they kept things hush because they did not want moves being leaked to the internet. Despite that, most feel that WWE should have handled the situation differently when playing with the lives and schedules of their wrestlers.

The move to Smackdown and following trade back to RAW had a big impact backstage in WWE last week. Most Smackdown wrestlers were very relieved when Triple H was sent back to RAW, fearing that he would upset the more relaxed, friendly Smackdown locker room with his political power. The decision to keep Triple H on RAW did, however, further solidify RAW's status as the #1 WWE show in the eyes of the workers. The feeling was that a major young star like Randy Orton would be moved to Smackdown, but instead only two mid-carders in Rob Van Dam and Booker T were switched while RAW kept Triple H and also gained Edge. Make no doubts about it, Triple H (even without the title) is considered WWE's #1 name by far and is really the only full time active main event wrestler left from the boom era of a few years ago.

- WWE's high 4.5 rating for RAW this past Monday could result in the post-WrestleMania draft lottery becoming an annual event(Oh dear God no!!). The feeling is that the brand split has been established now to where putting the rosters together for one night really does impact the ratings and create a "special" atmosphere. Most believe that had the rosters never been split, RAW would not be able to draw a 4.5 rating.

- "The Rundown", starring the Rock, has sold more than 1.5 million DVD/VHS copies in it's first 24 hours of release, putting it on track to be the biggest selling action movie of the year.

According to an article in today's Globe and Mail newspaper, Bret Hart is currently preparing for a legal battle with insurance company Lloyd's of London for an estimated $2.2 million. Hart is accusing the firm of refusing to pay disability claim over a career ending concusion he suffered while wrestling Bill Goldberg at WCW Starrcade in 1999.
Hart's lawsuit is seeking $1.2 million in unpaid disability benefits and another $1 million in punitive/aggravated damages for breach of duties, totaling up to $2.2 million. Hart's lawyer, Kenneth Staroszik, said quote, "Lloyd's have not denied the claim, but they haven't paid it either. Things are just going so slow that we've decided we have to start an action."

Lloyd's of London was originally informed of the injury when Hart was released by WCW in October of 2000. Since then, Hart has seen a neurologist working on behalf of Lloyd's, but there has been no further movement beyond that point.

Raw preview for this week from wwe.com:

A NEW DAY FOR RAW
March 29, 2004

The draft lottery ordered by Mr. McMahon brought one of the most wild nights in the history of RAW. Not only was Triple H sent to SmackDown! (he later returned to RAW in a trade for Booker T and the Dudley Boyz), but RAW ultimately featured three championship matches, a change in World Tag Team Champions, and the return of Edge -- who is now a member of the RAW roster.

I don't think they'd make the draft every year, but if it was always the rosters they were, it'd become redundant again, which is why the "draft" was done in the first place. They could do what every other sport does and have a period during the year where trades can be negotiated.
