The article reports that President Nobuyuki Sakakibara claimed he wants to give it a shot and theyd like for him to fight within the year. Goldberg, who is friends with many in MMA including Frank Shamrock and Tito Ortiz, and is under contract to Pride, has seriously discussed the idea of fighting in the past. At 37 years old, Goldberg has always been advised against it, especially since he has no kickboxing or wrestling competition background. We have yet to confirm this as fact or fiction as of this report but will keep everyone updated as details become available. |
Lesner trying out for the NFL, and now Goldberg thinking of going to Pride. Both trying to enter feilds where they have no real expreience in. I'd just love to see Goldberg vs Crocop. For those who watch Pride that fight who be a slaughter, and Goldberg would be out cold in mere seconds....I soo hope he goes to Pride

Oh God, Is it just me or am I the only one digging Brad$haw's new gimick? His promo was boring but I guess that was the point. This new Corporate asshole gimick they have going for bradshaw might actually be interesting.
And is it just me or does Brad$haw's new theme song sounds like the Jurassic Park theme.
Maybe the WWE should hire back IRS to form a new tag team with bradshaw called "The Stock Holders" or something.
Anyways, I though SmackDown! was actually good. some of the matches were pretty good.
I'am liking Kurt Angle as the new SmackDown! GM
But I was highly disapointed that there was no Undertaker. If the WWE knows that he gets the biggest pop right now. Wheres the fuckin logic in keeping him off the damn show? fuckin stupid.

I thought I was the only one that liked Bradshaw & Booker T's heel turn. Finally Booker can stop spinning around on the ground and win some matches. I just hope he doesn't end up feuding with that lame ass Holly.
Though the show was weak the matches weren't that bad. Dupree was really impressive by himself. They seem to be pushing him quite quickly up the ladder. Then again you don't get 20 year olds that are already veterans. The reaction to the "French Tickler" is always amusing.

Yeah, I thought Bradshaw's heel turn was pretty good and I think his new charater might work. I never cared for Bradshaw before until they gave them this new corportate IRS-type asshole heel charater on SmackDown! tonight. He actually got some heel heat from the crowd during his little promo and got a "You Sold Out" chant. And did you notice that he was smiling the whole time he was beating down Eddie Guerrero? I though that kinda made him look like a badass.
If they are planning on doing an Eddie Guerrero Vs Bradshaw feud. They just gotta work on Bradshaw's new charater some more, have him do more of those cocky heel promos to make the crowd hate him some more and build him up as some sort of thread to Eddie Guerreo to make his feud with Eddie more believeable. The old APA bradshaw would never be a main-event worthly competitor, but this new bradshaw could actually make him one if done right. This new asshole heel bradshaw Vs Eddie Guerrero COULD be a somewhat entertaining feud.
Unlike Hardcore Holly where when he was in the main-event at the royal rumble, he was just the same old boring bob holly that was tag teaming with crash for a couple of years wearing the same trucks and keeping the same boring charater hes always had. He looked so out of place in a WWE title match on a PPV. At least with Bradshaw, he now has a new gimick that could actually make him a believeable main-eventer.
He even has a cool speical move. Clothline from Hell.

they're already fuckin up with the undertaker. he needs to be on raw where there's more people he can feud with. he's out of place now on smackdown. taker just cant feud with anyone. could you see taker feuding with someone like hardcore holly, or mysterio, or RVD? and they know this too, why would they keep taker off of TV like that, they cant find no one for him to start a rivalry with, and it's already two weeks after WMXX.

Why the hell did they turn Booker T and Bradshaw heel? What the fuck is up with that? That made as much sense as the "draft" on Raw Monday night. Hello, the 90's called Bradshaw, IRS wants his gimmik back! Booker T is a goof-ass now, thinking he's better than everyone, what a joke. They tried him as a heel when he first came to WWF in 2001, and all it made him was a joke.
Angle is going to make a shitty GM, I hate to say this, but I'd take Steph or Heyman over Angle, hell, Vince would be better!
Anyone read this(take it for what you will, I think it's bullshit):
Goldberg Trashes WWE; Speaks About His Future:
Today I happened to have the radio on a Talk Radio station in Edmonton, Alberta (the site of Backlash) and I caught an interview with Bill Goldberg. This radio station is mainly for the older adult crowd. It does not have shock jocks or anything like that. It is the station that broadcasts Edmonton Oiler hockey games.
I was really surprised to hear Goldbergs feelings toward the WWE. Read on for the scoop.
The announcers were talking about Goldberg and saying that he is currently in Edmonton filming the movie Santas Slay. The announcers did not really seem to know who he was. They referred to him as an ex-pro wrestler who was in the WWE before he retired. They said they thought he was at Wrestlemania XX, but they did not believe he wrestled there. [Ironically although he actually did participate in a match, I dont think he wrestled either].
Thankfully they passed the interview on to someone else who conducted the phone interview with Goldberg. I took notes during the interview, so the text that follows is pretty accurate.
Goldberg said:
- Filming in Edmonton and area for Santas Slay ends Saturday. He said in the movie he plays the son of Satan who has been good for 1000 years, but decides it is time to create havoc and kill a bunch of people while wearing a Santa suit. He said it is like wrestling but it does not hurt as much.
- The announcer asked if it was his first movie (Bills ego took a hit here) and Bill said it was actually like his fifth film.
- Goldberg said he wants to do more acting since there are fewer tolls on the body. He said the pay is better for the difficulty of the work, and that he does not have to get beat up by 300-pound men.
- He said he liked Edmonton. The people are great, the hockey is great, but it is too cold.
- He was asked what his plans are from here. Goldberg said after he leaves Edmonton at the end of the week, he is going to Hawaii for a couple of TV projects, then he goes to LA to finish the last scene on Santas Slay.
The announcer asked what his long-term plans are. Goldberg said he would take some downtime, look into more movies (but did not want to reveal projects since it is a jinx). Then he would do charity work and wrestle a bit in Japan. He offhandedly mentioned that the WWE is very restricting on his life and that he wants to get back to doing things that his WWE schedule would not allow.
- He was asked if he would be at Backlash PPV in Edmonton. Goldberg said that he does not want to disappoint anyone in Edmonton, because they have been so great to him, but he would NOT be at Backlash. He clarified that his contract expired on March 14 and that he no longer works for the WWE. Then he said there are not too many plans in re-signing.
He followed by saying that he is done with the soap opera called the WWE. He said he is not out of pro wrestling altogether. He still has a contract in Japan. He said when that contract is up he will re-sign in Japan.
The announcer asked if he would re-sign with the WWE. Goldberg said the WWE is SO ridiculous with the up-down swing. It is like being in a circus. He said it was not an ideal situation working for Vince and the WWE and at this time in his life, he does not need to be around all that stuff.
Then Goldberg went on about how he loves Hockey and how he has seen great hockey in Edmonton. He was asked what his favorite team was, but he said that he knows so many players on all the teams that he does not have a favorite. He said he just loves to watch a good game. They thanked each other and said goodbye.
A very interesting interview. He was never pressured to answer any tough questions but he seemed eager to speak out on the WWE. I guess we will not see him in the WWE for a while.

I have a book about Wrestlemania, and it has images of Undertaker as he originally was, and I HATE his original outfit. You just can't get any more fake than what looked like nothing but black cloth he was wearing. The new outfit makes much more sense in terms of old west undertakers, and is a lot better in leather than cloth. His hair looked too greasy in the images too, like dead men don't use shampoo.
Smackdown was not that bad, but not that great. Luthor... I mean Angle, never gave a real reason why he traded HHH back to RAW. I figured he'd make some mention about HHH being a title whore and poison to a show , and not wanting that on Smackdown!. Instead he just mentioned the trade. Booker T has a reason to be a heel, as he mentioned on the show. He liked it better on RAW, he hates being on Smackdown, and he's taking that fustration out on the fans and other Smackdown! superstars, so that's a good enough reason for him to be a heel. Plus, he even got a title shot on his first day there, something he didn't get for a long while during his time at RAW.
Dudley Boys got a good match as well, taking on the Bashams, who are a tough team and worth for the Dudley's to take on, compared to thier lackluster opponents on RAW. They got a nice deal on their first day too. If they keep this up with Booker T and Dudleys and Dupree, they'll have some great athelets with good roles eventually, assuming they don't screw up *knock on wood*.
The French Tickler has to be one of the best moves ever. Combine a funny dance with a sex-referencing name, and you can get a reaction out of a crowd anytime.
Bradshaw is gonna be heel now, but he needs matches to build his character. This is actually something WWE needs right now, more creative characters. I mean you look back years and years ago, wrestlers portrayed an actual character wrather than just a guy in tights. Look at old Ric Flair, Ted DiBiase, Undertaker, Ultimate Warrior, (dare I say) Doink, even some flashy ones like The Hitman, old HBK, ect. Seriously, everyone in the WWE just wearing tights and relying on a simple personality is redundant.

EXACTLY! Take Mr. Perfect, the best character ever created IMO. He went to a basketball court and made every shot including the over the head shot. He went to a hockey rink and hit slapshots past the goalie. I remember he wanted a tailor to make him the perfect suit. Then he pushed the guy out of the way and sat down at the sewing machine and started sewing his own suit. And the best of them all, he threw a 50+yd pass to himself. LMAO! And every time he said, "Now that's... PERFECT"!
I.R.S. and The Repo Man (to a lesser extent) were good characters. Unfortunately not great wrestlers, but at least they tried something other than what a 'jobber' would do.
Where's that kind of imagination now? Where has it gone?
Oh! Ultimate Warrior! OMFG!! That tassled freak! I saw him do an interview when he graced WCW with his presence. I think it was for Holloween Havok. His face paint was literally crooked and he was wearing this think denim shirt that was buttoned up to his neck causing his face to be a reddish hue. Then he said something just before the interview started that made me bust out laughing!
Warrior: "Can you open up a window? It's kinda hot in here. I feel like I'm gonna die".
He's wearing a thick denim shirt buttoned up all the way cutting off circulation ot his head and he thinks the room is hot. Goes to show that now every superstar has an I.Q. above 100. I think I'll sprint like hell down to my room and violently shake my bed post in honor of him.

Some sites have stated that Steve Austin has been arrested in San Antonio. This is not the case, although he has been charged with assault, and the woman assaulted may press charges leading to a possible arrest.
I don't know how this will affect Raw, or if it is even true or not, take it for what you will.
