WM 21 comes out the same day WM 21 hits PPV.I hope it will be better than Raw.Xbox really needs a decent wrestling game. Here is my wishlist:

Throwback Mini Game-Does anyone remember WWF Royal Rumble for Sega and SNES?Maybe they could add it for a bonus just with an updated roster.

Soundtrack-To me,sound is as important as the game itself.I hope the soundtrack will have real songs. Not that Generic stuff the old SD and No Mercy games used to have.I like how DOR SVR have REAL songs. But I hate the way they share the songs.Hopefully WM 21 will have their own list songs.

Gameplay-Give me an mix of DOR and SVR gameplay with a few changes.

Personally, rather than Royal Rumble how about the old Raw from Genesis/SNES? I've got the Genesis version. But I agree with allot of what you're saying. If Microsoft wants to compete with Sony on the wrestling game front, they need a decent game, and I think WM21 will be that game. It is the one that'll get me to buy an X-Box

Of course (and you'll think i'm crazy), I'm going to buy WWF Raw 1 and 2 for X-Box. I thought the first Raw was ok, but I never played 2. Yeah I know everyone's opinions of Raw 2 (so spare me a repeat!!), but I don't care, I'm still going to buy it. I've got a thing to get every wrestling game, good or bad. I got all the WWF, WCW, and ECW games from the N64 days, and let's face it, the last WCW games after Revenge were crap, but still playable to a degree, and WWF War Zone and Attitude weren't that great either but I own them to. Guess it's just me.winksmile
Actaually this game is the reason I'm getting an X-Box also (besides Halo and Halo2). I have to agree with you on Raw and Raw2. Though my friends say they suck, I still want them.

the only bad thing about those SNES/Genesis games was the lack of superstars to play as. I remember the wrestlemania game they did for the Genesis...I was rubbish at it. God I miss the good old days. I still have my sega Megadrive....wonder if i could buy it from somewhere.

WCW Mayhem owned. That was the last good WCW game. Then again I haven't played it in awhile.I remember the backstage fights.

WWF War Zone-I played that game for hours every single day.I loved it when it first came out.

WWF Attitude-Attitude is the reason why I had to pay a big Late Fee.Forgot 5 days I kept that game for a few months.

BTW,how was that WCW exclusive game for PS1?WCW World Tour?

Yeah Raw would be better. As a matter a fact I gotta check it out on SNES9X.

Check this out about WM 21:

Though there are few details available on the Xbox Live functionality, it has been revealed that WrestleMania 21 includes four-player head-to-head support with multiple match types and voice chat. While voice chat in any other type of fighter would seem like a nice add-in, being able to offer your own demonstrative statements to those you're about to smack down is essential for a great online wrestling game. To make the online battles more meaningful, Studio Gigante added a Create-A-Belt option. Design your own championship belt, then take it online. Defend your belt, build your prestige, and become an online legend.

I don't like online play, so I'll be getting WM21 for mostlly the single-player aspects, and to compare it's create-a-belt to SvR's create-a-belt. Of course story mode also.

The Ps1 games, WCW Thunder and WCW vs. The World (that's the title!) were ok games. My friend has them and I had fun playing both, although, the N64 exclusive, WCW vs. NWO World Tour is far better than both.

Thanks MKG,I was wondering how WCW Vs The World was.Your right about WCW Vs NWO.I used to pick Nash and Scott Hall in Tag Team matches.I never could get into WCW Revenge. The Intro video in Revenge was misleading.I really thought you could go backstage and fight.I played Raw on SNES9X yesterday.I think it's okay but I like Royal Rumble alot more.LOL@1-2-3 Kid(X-Pac).He looked sober in that pic they had on the Raw game.

Haha.

I loved that game when I was a kid.
Once me and a buddy spent about 40 minutes in a "bedlam" type match throwing down banzai drops and diving headbutts in turn with Bigelow and Yokozuna, just 'cause we could.
Never liked Royal Rumble though. Maybe I just didn't play it enough.

I remember playing WCW vs the World too.
I always thought that game game sucked, dispite being a huge WCW fan.
What's the deal with Sting breaking his own arm in the scorpion deathlock?

I think I had most fun with Revenge. That games finishers were spot on. The jacknife and outsiders edge were sweet, and the lion tamer was just fucking vicious...
I wish he still elevated his lion tamer as much nowdays.sad

(Yes, call me old fashioned, but I still call it the lion tamer, it sounds cooler)

It's now called the Walls of Jericho.

Krackerjack, I agree with you. I like WCW/NWO Revenge, just more of a fun game than WCW Vs. The World and WCW/NWO World Tour. I thought/think it's the best WCW game out there.

Blood is in WM21!

Look at Randy Orton's face.

Sorry,I haven't been posting that much lately. For some strange reason the site freezes for like 2 minutes and it crashes my PC sometime. So I won't be posting as much as I used to.Hopefully the mods can get this problem fixed. It wasn't doing that a few days ago.

Actually, while we are (were) on the topic, JR mistakenly called the lionsault the lion tamer on Raw in the Maven/HHH match which I just saw tonight (Smackdown and Raw shows are aired here quite a while after they're aired in the US, so I kinda visit this thread for spoilers too, heh).

I hope that damn "RKO" looks better in WM21 than in reality too, because if it's realistic, it's going to make the game look glitchy.

"Somethings wrong with my game man, Ortan just threw himself into the air like an idiot, and somehow the Christian dropped face first into the canvas a second or so later!"
"Nah nevermind that, that's just his shit excuse for a diamond cutter."

Sorry to hear about your puter problems. This site used to freeze up on me, but not so much any more, just once in awhile.

That pic is sick man! I can't wait for this game to come out now. Blood, online, new story, create-a-belt, this is going to be the best wrestling game for the X-Box, since, well, ever!

Krackerjack, what game you playing? Smackdown vs. Raw?

Official WWE Smackdown Preview for Thursday:

What major news could break this week as Armageddon is quickly approaching?

Who has the edge in the Fatal Four Way main event featuring WWE Champion JBL, Booker T, Eddie Guerrero and Undertaker?

Also, the $1,000,000 Tough Enough will be cut to just three competitors. Who will go home as we get closer and closer to crowning a new Superstar?

Meanwhile, Kurt Angle’s Invitational is expected to continue. What Hometown Hero from Richmond, Virginia will get the opportunity of a lifetime?

Don’t miss SmackDown! this week on UPN (8/7 CT).

Official Raw Preview for Tomorrow:

Next week is Randy Orton’s chance in the General Manager’s position, which is certainly far from good news for Triple H. With the World Heavyweight Championship on the line in a battle royal, any one of more than 20 Superstars have a chance to walk out of Raw with Triple H’s title in tow. That includes Batista and Ric Flair, Triple H’s two Evolution stable-mates!

Flair perhaps has a unique advantage in the battle royal. He is the only Superstar participating who has walked out of such a match with the gold around his waist. Will the Nature Boy be able to make it 17 World Championships? Click here.

For competitors like Steven Richards, Val Venis, Tyson Tomko and others, the battle royal represents a unique opportunity they might have otherwise had to wait years to achieve. And for the likes of Chris Jericho, Shelton Benjamin, Maven and so many other Superstars who have a bone to pick with the Cerebral Assassin, the match is the ultimate chance for payback.

Plus, what might Trish Stratus do to avenge the humiliation and pain she suffered at the hands of Lita? Who will be the next unfortunate victim in Gene Snitsky’s path? And what more might we find out about the bitter and dangerous Muhhammad Hassan? Tune in to RAW next Monday (9/8 CT on Spike TV) to find out.

The title very VERY VERY rarely ever changes hands on Raw, and when HHH is involved, you can guaren-damn-tee he will walk out the champion when the dust settles Monday night. So my question is, what will the action be in that match? I say it's when Batista 'accidently' throws out Flair, or HHH/Flair 'accidently' throw out Batista. Aside from that, I dunno what all they can build off this, because again, we all know HHH ain't losin it on Raw.

Cot damn Trish is lookin better and better, and her mic skills as a heel are pretty good, I'm actually looking forward to her segments now. Her and Stacy should kiss.....on my bed....well that's another story..

Raw should be good this week, but with all the roster in the Rumble, what other matches can/will they have?

Also, when/where will Kane come back? Royal Rumble? I hope they don't announce it, let him be a surprise in the Rumble or just come out and kill Shitsky.

Im tired of these crappy gimmicks:

Gene Snitsky-Is that red contact supposed to scare me?He looks like he smoked alotta weed when his eye turns red.I hate those psychopath gimmicks unless there done right(1998 Kane)
NOTE:I read some where that Gene Snitsky is the same guy that played Mordecai. Is this true?

John Cena-Yes,He's a good wrestler and well....I just hate that "You can't see Me" taunt.Other than that he's a good in my book.

Triple H-You know the deal.

Undertaker-Whatever happened to the REAL Deadman. The guy who used to hang out in graveyards? The guy who tried to imbalm Stone Cold while he was ALIVE!I don't want to see a half deadman/half biker.I want the Taker that used to scare the crap outta me to come back.

GMS-DUMBEST WWE IDEA EVER...Besides the draft(Theres rumors on these internets where going to GET RID OF THE DRAFT.I'll be happy when Vince gets rid of the draft.

When will we ever see a BIG star in the WWE again? The Rock and Stone Cold were the last big stars to come out of the WWF/E.

Who thought it was a good idea to make RVD and Rey partners?

My complaining won't do anything. If I had the money they would listen...*Stewie Griffen voice*I would make a Good GM.Yes.I could yell DAMN YOU ALL when someone screws up.

I'm thinking Triple H. Which is kinda sad, but when you consider his run as champion and whatnot, he's pretty much there. All he needs is one or two really big matches, with a hell of a lot of hype, and a starring role in a movie, and we got ourselves a new Rocky. Oh, and a cool catchphrase too.
Either that, or give Jericho another couple years. That guy oozes personality, which is of course, what got Austin and the Rock so hugely over.

...If only he'd win an important title (Ha!)

As far as RVD and Rey, excellent. A good move for both of them, because they would otherwise most likely just be jobbers, or go unused. Especially Rey. Any tag team that gives me something i've never seen before is good straight off the bat. Those team moves are outstanding, especially that double leg drop thing. Innovative indeed.

That is totally false. Gene Snitsky is played by a guy called... errr.... Gene Snisky... and Mordecai was played by Kevin Fertig who is currently at OVW.

I got it from Worthplaying.Im a bit skeptical about WM21.I think Tobias knows a thing or two about wrestling games he worked on Wrestlemania arcade.Im happy about a new company making it though.BTW,I think the draft started waaaaaaaaay back in 1992 with Super WrestleMania for SNES and Sega.Any video game wrestling fan will know what I mean.

Hint:SNES and Sega WWF games.grin

Whatever happened to Poppa Shango?I used to play as him all the time in SWM for Sega.
