I've thought about trying the Def Jam series, but after watching a video of it on the October PSM disk, I thought that it was not something I'd enjoy, but that's just me. If you like it, more power to ya. BTW, this disk has vids for SvR, and MK:D. Nothing new shown for MK:D.

Whew. Gonna watch some Sunday NIGHT HEAT tonight, depending if I'm not still on Season mode on Smackdown.

Im talking about the 1st one.The new one is cool too but DJV1 is more wrestling based.Yup,my cousin is going nuts over SVR and DOR.He was looking at Screenshots of those games for an hour today.DOR im interested in as for SVR I don't know.DOR has that No Mercy feel.I LOVE THE "SPECIAL" TEXT!Looks like a great game.And where is the Xbox wrestling games???

Anyways, I'am actually liking that Heinderich guy, A lot of the moves he pulled on Josh Mathews and Paul London was really impressive. The Sholder Breaker and that sling-shot Knee Backbreaker move were tight.

And anyone who scares the shit out of Michael Cole is fine by me.

What do you have against Mike Cole dude? Bill from Velocity is someone who would deserve it.

Bill Demott is awesome! And Josh Matthews, damn why did they had to have Heidenreich attack him? He's the future JR, I tell you. He's just an awesome comentator and he's still pretty young.

How's that any different than a tv show where the punches and kicks are missed by a mile away with swishing and thumb sound effects?

It's not completely fake in the sense alot moves will hurt. And the matches are planned ahead, that's what's fake.

plus, it's entertainment. same as if you asked someone why they watch reality tv.

i was like you last year just gettin into wrestling but i knew it was fake all along its funny to watch especially randy ortan spitting in the game's face

after randy ortan vs mick foley (ages ago) im gaining respect for ortan

I love Wrestling because dispite the fights being fake, and the punches being... well, silly looking, some of the moves are still pretty damn impressive, the characters are interesting and pretty cool, it's hilarious sometimes, and when you don't know the results and nearfalls are happening all the time, it can get pretty nerve racking. I always go literally insane whenever I watch a Jamie Noble match. I just love the guy, and I can't stand it when he loses, but I go insanely joyful whenever he wins.

last night I watched a fight. it was scotty 2 hotty against another guy I can't remember, so scotty 2 hotty slapped the other guy and the guy was seemingly KO, scotty was like "I'm the man" and start doing some mambo jambo dancing on the ring, the other guy got up and did a throw on acotty and won...I was like...what a dickhead...

watching scotty too hotty is not the best wrestler to watch when you wanna see good in ring action. Watch some eddie g. or some taker.

Ya,some wrestling is fake.Pre-determined,and the punches and kicks,but thats about it.Alot of moves can near k.o. you.The ones im talking about are:

Clothesline from hell:The impact,the speed.Ouch.

Demon Bomb (Now known as the stupid sounding Batista bomb):Puts alot of force into this thing,most guys just drop you down,but he damn whips you down,the impact is unbelievable.

Cradle Pildriver:While not used in WWE,this move looks like it kill.Piledriver,then basically slam you.Called slam piledriver in DOR.

The biggest fake move.

Canadian Destroyer:While being one of my favorite moves,its extremely assisted.But can hurt bad if done right.If you dont know its a sunset flip piledriver done by Petey Williams.You should check it out.

Hey, anyone is welcome to this thread, if they want to talk wrestling. Any way, I've always liked wrestling, since I first watched it back in the late 80's. I never got WWE up here then, so it was Maple Leaf Wrestling and I saw Stampede Wrestling. When NBC began to air WWE Superstars, I liked to watch that. When I found out that it was "fake" I didn't care, because my mind was made up, I like wrestling, and noone will tell me otherwise, and to anyone who told me it was 'fake' I said, "yeah whatever, you get in the fucking ring, and see how fake it is".

Indeed, it’s been a busy couple of weeks for the Legend Killer, who now better shift his focus away from Evolution and direct it toward Kane. The Big Red Newlywed will face Orton on RAW (9/8 CT on Spike TV) this Monday.

And Kane doesn’t figure to be in a good mood after learning his new bride Lita secretly signed the Big Red Monster up for a match with Shawn Michaels at Unforgiven.

Of course, Orton probably had this coming. He didn’t exactly endear himself to Eric Bischoff, who booked the match just moments after Orton dropped the business end of that sledgehammer on the RAW GM’s foot.

Also, last week on RAW, Bischoff wanted Triple H to take care of Eugene once and for all. However, Randy Orton, who continues his defiance of Triple H and make life hell, interfered in the match and cost "The Game" the victory. This Monday night Triple H and Eugene will battle each other again. This time it will be in a steel cage! Will Triple H finally get what he wants and finish off Eugene? Alright,here is an example of the greatness of DOR,my best match of any game.I basically remember the end.

Me vs. Randy Orton,we basically go back and forth,I try to throw him into cell wall,he reverses,I slam into wall,I try it again,once again reversed,I go in.I get pissed so I dish out a beating,ending with a cradle piledriver.I pick him up,throw him into the cell wall,it breaks,now im unleashed.I run to the annouce table,he follows after recovering.I beat him down again,then throw him onto the announce table,I go up to the roof of the cell.He gets up,I wait for him.He starts beating me down,throws me over the edge.I hang on,he tries to kick me off,he does as I go plummeting off nearly hitting the annouce table.After abit of back and forth after I get up,we go back up and I successfully chuck him off the side.

FAST FORWARD

I have a panel of the cell ready to cave in,he comes after me,I counter a throw,and whip in away then back towards me.Belly to Belly overhead suplex THROUGH the cell panal,I stay on top and celebrate,he gets up a few minutes later.I do a couple of piledrivers on another panel,then he reverses me,I reverse his reversal,once again,belly to belly overhead through cell.Think he learn.I go down pin him.1...2...lift him up.Cradle piledriver,back on top I go.He follows me minutes later,slam him on a panel a couple of times.Now it becomes a reversal fest.I keep trying moves,he reverses everything for like 5 mins,I finally knock him down.Put him on the panel,pick him up,and do a jumping piledriver on him,through panel.He lands SICK right on his neck from 15 feet.I land on my back,same way.I get up a few minutes later.Pin him,thinks its over.1...2...kick out!I was pissed,screaming at the tv.I go back on top of the cell.Time to finish this thing.I bring him onto the remaining panel.Piledrive him twice to soften it.Pick him up,and hit the damn stroke beutifully all the way down.The stroke is a half nelson rear facebuster.
We both land on out faces,still hooked in the move,BAM!The impact was unbelieveable.I get up after a bit,get my special ready.Pick him up,punch him,tune up the band,and hit him with an ever so sweet chin music.I pick him up again,nail an RKO!Pin,1...2...stand up.Go up top rope,nail a five star frog splash.Pin,1...2...once again,get him up,special ready.Give him one last RKO.1...2...3!Best match ever.

At one point,it was an RKO fest,we hit eachother with them like 10 times in a row at one point,great match,hell in a cell rules in this game.I actually prefer this game over HCTP,one of my fav games.Hell in a cell is a prime example.DOR,best cell ever,you can do anything in this.And when you do a move through the cell.It stays hooked near perfectly till impact.Example:Pedigree,hook him,jump up,nail it.And go all the way down,hooked damn near perfect.Smackdowns,nothing to say,it blows really.

You guys should check out DOR if you can.

I have DoR...its alright, the Story is kinda gay

i preordered dor (might have said it already cant remember its early in the morning here leave me alone lol) but it comes out on 24th and i can just walk in and pick it up cus i have paid for it already

Yeah, well, that's Scotty 2 Hotty's finishing move, the worm, and it is, IMO the stupidest move you'll ever find. You got really unlucky there.
I believe you saw the episode of Velocity on Sic Radical where Scott took on Bubba Ray Dudley. That match wasn't very good at all, especially because of that dumb ending. Doesn't Scotty learn? He lost the same way to Mark Jindrak the week before...
Anyway, Bloody eyes, we're really unlucky here in Portugal because we only get Velocity and a 1 hour version of RAW, which totally sucks because it means we're missing a whole hour from the usual RAW program, and we don't even get Smackdown!. I like Velocity alot better than RAW, because at least all (or at least almost all) Velocity matches are uncut and we still get to see the smackdown! highlights, while we usually only get 2 matches with RAW, and they're both horribly cut because of commercial breaks and ''please. Don't try this at home'' promos.
Besides, Velocity has awesome talent like Jamie Noble, Mark Jindrak, Billy Gunn (the other week he put on one of the greatest matches I've ever seen in my life agaisn't Booker T), and sometimes even Rene Dupree and the legend RVD.
Keep watching. Lately, it hasn't been going too well, but if you keep watching Velocity you might start liking it.
