Tomorrow is the first day of school.

I already feel anxious.

I have this thing where the stuff that worries/scares me the most affects me so much that I have recurring nightmares about it. Last year, when burglars broke into my office (while my best friend and I were inside) and tied us up and stole a bunch of stuff, I had terrible dreams about it happening again (or them doing even worse things) for the next several months.

Lately, the subject of my recurring nightmares is my girlfriend (who God willing will be the woman I marry) leaving me and moving on with someone else. It's almost a given that I'll have that type of dream if I've had a fight with her that day, but sometimes even after having a great day with her I'll still dream about that crap. These types of dreams started happening earlier this year, and even though they stopped for quite some time they're starting again.

When they first happened I told her about it and it upset her, so I don't want to upset her again...but I do have to "say it out loud" so that those types of thoughts aren't stuck exclusively inside my head.

For the most part, I'm moved in to the new apartment.

Evertything's awesome right now - lots of room, got the cable and internet hooked up, it's VERY quiet, to the point my roommates had Avatar running full blast in the living room (next to my room), and I didn't hear ANYTHING while sleeping - but I'm sure we'll have a collective "jaw-drop" when the first month's rent + utility bill comes in.

First of all, congrats on the new place. Second, I know exactly what you mean about it being "very quiet". I moved out over 2 years ago, and that first night, once everything was where it belonged, the silence got to me so much that I just basically fell asleep...at 7:30 pm.

I have to go through two MRI's of the spine today... I got abnormal reflexes that my chiropractor really wants to see if there is a reason for it. If not I'm going to punch a baby.

I'd like some answer for heaven's sake.

Everything'll be fine, man, remember, you are the master of your dreams. You just have to remind yourself that these are just dreams, and not prophecies of what will come. Heck, you can use these to practice controlling your dreams.
She's not going to leave you, and voicing your concern to her will only make her feel worse, which won't make you feel much better and defeats the purpose of telling her to make yourself feel better in the first place. You have a tonne of friends around the world, you can tell us anything. Just don't let your brain's random night ramblings rule your heart and mind.
