Glad I could help. Welcome to my world of the night!
I gotta be honest, that'd be a freaking awesome twist, and probably the cutest Bug pokemon out there. Kind of looks like a Durant wearing Sylveon's skin.

It probably won't matter which one I pick. I haven't liked the starters since.... Ever? Heh, I've almost always ditched them after the first gym, then proceeded to struggle through the game because I'm too stubborn to not use an early game kitty 'til the end! Still, I usually pick the water one... But Froakie's yet another damn frog. I'm so tired of frogs, toads, and polliwogs!

The first generation is the only one where I like all three starters.
For the second, I only really like Totodile.
Third, Torchic. But it's really Blaziken that I like.
Fourth, Piplup and Tirtwig. Like, Blaziken, it's really Torterra that I like.
Fifth, none. They all irritate me, but Oshawott is the one I can tolerate.
Sixth, so far, I don't really like any of them. I'll wait for the final forms.

Here's an interesting Sylveon theory that's about as wild as the woods (because i came up with it last night).
We know that there will be SOMETHING (as-yet-unspecified) NEW about Sylveon, be it the way it evolves, or type, or whatever. Well, the thought i had refers to the card game a long time ago during the Team Rocket expansion.
What if there was a pokemon to match the 'Rainbow' type? (i.e. not dual-typed, but all 17 times typed!)
There have been examples in the past of a pokemon having multiple types:
Arceus - multitype ability.
Kecleon - colour change ability.
Porygon (+ evo line) - the moves conversion & conversion2
Castform - forecast ability
Ditto - the move transform allows it to change type (as well as everything else bar HP)
...but none of them can have all 17 types at a time!
Here's how a Rainbow type pokemon would work:
It would receive STAB for every conceivable move.
Being part-ghost, it would use the ghost version of 'curse'.
I did the math this morning; it would be completely unaffected by moves of the following types: poison, ghost, ground, electric, normal, fighting, psychic.
it would have only ONE weakness: rock, taking twice as much damage. It would receive regular damage from fire, water, ice, flying and dragon type moves, and it would be at least 1/2 resistant to all the rest.
I know it's just one of many theories flying about the place, but imagine if it does happen. Feel free to spread it across the internet; there's always room for more crackpot ideas!

That type would be so broken, it would make Pokemon unplayable on any level of gameplay. It'd be on par with using a 'mon with Moody or something.

Yes it is, it is not usable outside of Wild Battles. Heck, the only reason I have any Run Away Venonat's because it's the easiest way to get one in BW, and I caught one in DW and one in a Hidden Hollow with good stats and natures for breeding. I guess Wonder Skin on a Venomoth's not bad, but I'd rather have Shield Dust or Tinted Lens than Wonder Skin.

Doesn't Run Away work against arena traps, like Trapinch's ability?
Run Away can keep you from getting locked in a battle, if you're venturing into/fleeing a high level area.

"Run Away guarantees escape from a wild Pokémon, negating any trapping move or Ability an opponent has in effect, such as Mean Look and its variations, Wrap and its variations, Shadow Tag, and Arena Trap. However, Run Away does not allow a Pokémon to switch out when a trapping move or Ability is in effect, even in a wild Pokémon battle. Run Away has no effect in Trainer battles."

Completion's sake? They aren't that easy to find, so I could imagine from a collector's point of view. It is the only way to get a Wonder Skin Venomoth, but again, it has better abilities than that.
I got a Marvel Scale Dratini with Timid nature. I was so excited, but then I got hit with a hard truth...
Dratini - #147 (Timid)
Female (♀) Marvel Scale
HP: 31
Att: 31
Def: 16
SpA: 19
SpD: 6
Speed: 31
Timid, but it has 31 Attack?! NOOOOOOOOOOO! Still, this thing will rock for breeding! I feel bad for giving the guy a relatively lame Clear Body Klang... You can't even breed those for good stats, as they can only breed with Ditto and don't get their DW abilities when they do that.
Speaking of breeding, how the fuck can Aerodactyl only breed with the Bird-looking Pokemon? I get that it's a Flying type and a missing link between reptiles and bird, but seriously, let it breed with some of the Monster or Dragon group at least! If Diglett and Skitty can breed with Wailord, I'm sure that Aerodactyl breeding with Magikarp or Dratini's not that farfetched.
