U've got some points but Hotaru has no options after a QR other than a grab and a mid launcher.He has no good specials to work with after the QR,maybe the lava blast but mostly all people walk up to 50/50 you so the lava blast becomes useless.Once your opponent adapts to your QR you can do nothing to surprise him.

Speaking about Kabal,if you QR with him you can QR u+2 or even better you can quick recover a spin. Even if your opponent sees it coming he must have reactions like superman to block it and when he expects the spin simply QR u+2.

omg this tier list is so f**ked up its not even funny! Mileena upper-mid tier? more like LOW TIER! Sub-Zero low tier? try UPPER-MID TIER AT THE LEAST! omg this is one of the worse tier list ive ever seen for this game! thing that pisses me off is that it seems like NO ONE gives Subby the credit he deserves in this game cuz he is kick ass! i guess just so many of u just dont know how to play with Subby and actually be a master with him. ive never lost a single fight against cpu or human ever useing Subby in MKD. i dont care what any of yall say, i know from experience just how good Subby is. and really its the Ice Clone that makes him so good (atleast for how i play with him).

the rest of the list is pretty much messed up except for the top 6 or 7 really. id maybe change the order of those 6 or 7, but im not sure. still this list is by far screwed up imo.

thats all i have to say. and dont even challenge me to play against u online cuz i dont play online. but ive won every tournament ive been in with Subby against a good Bo' Rai Cho player, some Scorpion players, couple Liu Kang players, couple Noob-Smoke players, and so on. like ive said ive never lost a single fight when useing Subby. not even when i first ogt Deception. ive had him mastered since the game was released.

From my perspective!

Mileena has a better throw than Sub-Zero,better pokes,and her 4 in her second stance is probably better than any mid move Sub has.

We know how to play the game;it's just that you base your "facts" from a most likely poor competition.You cannot abuse Ice Clones against BRC because u+4 in his weapon stance evades your Clone and punishes you;BRC Puke Puddle can also get you in many occasions,and all he needs to do is SS,f+3,and get the free throw.After the free throw,BRC can land his 58% damaging combo or simply 50/50 mix up you to death.

Get a better competition,and then come back and post.

i didnt originally intend to post this, but for the past months me and 4 friends of mine have been working on a tier list. actually didnt start out us wanting to make a tier list but just a lot of disscussing about whos best, worst, ect. and then a friend suggested that we do put the tier list together from all 5 of our opinions from playing this game for months. might as well we thought for the fun of it. and this is based on our opinions. we dont care about the tier list here Konqrr or who ever made. thats just his opinion. and like i said this is mine and my 4 friends opinion of a tier list we finally decided to settle on. still i dont even fully agree with this list. i wasnt even gonna post it but requested to post it from my friends.

If it's all just opinions, why make a tier list at all? I could just put the characters in alphabetical order and claim it's a tier list too.

While I agree some characters' positions can be debated, the list you and your friends have made is at least 65% wrong. Shujinko at place 21? Scorpion better than BRC? Nightwolf at 2? Sub-Zero at 8? I wonder what kind of arguments you and/or your friends use to justify those things.

I don't mean to be mean or anything, but if you post a tier list, you should put forward some arguments at the very least.

i got tired of fighting so i pretty much just started to agree with them to just end it u know. if i did it myself it would look much different. i do agree with where Subby is on the list tho pretty much. i do find him to be that good. Scorpion i personnally wouldnt have where he is neither Nightwolf. just a lot of things id change if i did it myself. id rather not tho.... i cant ever perminately decide where to put some one onthe tier list besides for a few exceptions. although i agree with my friends Nightwolf is underrated, but not 2nd best in the game....

and yes all a tier list is some ones opinion. now if Midway or the MK team came out with a tier list that would be official. but tier list r pointless so i doubt they will come out with one. i dont even know y i agreed to doing this in the first place..... o well..... imma go play UMK3 now....

although b4 i do.... the thing i really really dont like is that the first tier list of Konqrr's was so different than the one he has now. i dont understand it. especially dont understand how Mileena went from low tier to upper mid tier and Subby go from upper mid to low tier. some one explain that for me plz......

Liu_Kang187~ur list is infact opinion. its funny looking at it. playing vs 4 of ur buds can not in no way give u a true feeling on how the game really is.

mileena~shes top ten, her being able to freeze her foes in one spot all game is enough to convince me. 4,1 isnt as non safe as i once thought. like dairou she cant block after her best attacks but, u can quickly get a uppercut or up+2 if ur foe likes to counter the 4,1.
ashrah~lots of mid attacks, but non recover well. she can be trapped easy w/ fast low pokes. she also has a horrid distance game. shes 11 on the list IMO, until some one convinces me other wise.
kenshi~he has way to many safe one hit attacks giving him tons of throw chances he also can fight up close and far away.
hotaru~definatly deserves to be higher then we 1st thought, but top ten NO!
kabal~top ten, we all know y. 63+% combos, the spin counters just about every thing, giving him 63% combo chances. 2 stun blocking attacks. good mid attacks that track well.

Dude,you don't get it.Top-tiers aren't just opinions.They're opinions from high level MK:D players.You putting Nightwolf and Sub-Zero so high while you put Shujinko and Kabal so low makes me question on how really good you are at this game.Top-tiers are based on their maximum potential at high level play,and not anything else.If you don't play at high level play,you shouldn't be making a tier list for any fighting game.

It's funny,but you also refuse to discuss the reasons as to why you put some characters where they are which is the whole point of tier list if you really intend to prove a thing.You need to back it up with strategies and explain why that character is where he is;otherwise,don't even post.

I've been thinking about this for a while, and this is my list, based on my online play experience, since December. I'm only going to make a top 10.

1.-Shujinko - No one really uses him to his full ability, but if they really do, he is unstoppable, and able to defeat BRC.

2. - Bo Rai Cho - Simply the best at keep away and owning without you having a say in the matter.

3.- Dairou - Even bettter at keep away

4. - Jade - Yes I'm putting Jade here, even for the sole fact that she has invincibility powers, puts her right up there, able to contend with the BRC's and Dairou's.

5. - Noob Smoke - They Own Darrius

6. - Darrius - Just the easiest guaranteed throw and Guaranteed 45%+ Glitch combo in the game.

7. - Kobra - Killer

8. - Raiden - Very Fast and Teleport 50/50's Own

9. - Ashra - She has some very good 50/50 mix ups and seems to recover well off everything. She has easy infinites and plenty of free throws.

10. - Liu Kang - Amazing at Side Stepping, and his 50/50 game in the middle style is very dangerous and undpreidictable.

This list is presented as if it is fact, how can you possibly say some player is the 6th best or whatever? Maybe ya'll looked at advanced combo ability, quickness, who knows what, but its impossible to say this so factually, each character has dozens of subtle attributes that cannot be translated to numeric statistics for adding up. This list could be fine (not that i agree with it) but only as one person or one group's opinion.

Who's bright idea was to plave Hotaru so low? His 50/50 is as dangerous as Liu Kangs, and the throw is easily of the best close rangers in MKD.

I have a funny feeling that if the game balancers of mortal kombat deception saw all this talk about whos the best they'd get such a kick out of it. Its really close to impossible to make a tier list, everyone has their strengths with different characters - i sure know the maker of this thread doesn't like sub - zero, other wise he'd practice with him enough to realize he's no low tier. There is no low tier. They all serve a purpose, although there might be one person who has a higher advantage(ON PURPOSE) Which is Shujinko. Is it based upon the highest percentage combos(btw, eventually I bet they'll figure out that every character can pull off a 100% or so anyway) based upon speed? Quick damagers? Or a comination of them all? I dont wanna look preachy or nothin, but once you give a character one of everyones special moves with a pop up grab, built in side step combos n shit, you could pretty much say this guy has the most potential; and in my opinion, I figure thats why you gotta work so hard to get those moves. I'm not a fan of shujinko and I rarely use em but its virtually impossible for a super elite shujinko to run into problems when he's using all his moves wisely.

sub is mid tier

hotaru can be lethal but when he's blocked it's not pretty

when making a list, cheap glitches (like BRC and Darrius) should not be taking into account. My two favorite characters are Shujinko and Scorpion.
Shujinko has so many different damging combos he could be number one on the list.

Scorpion on the other hand is a good 50/50 player (not as good as Havik since you dont have to change your blocking stance whille your opponent is doing a combo). Not a lot of damaging combos ti you replace one kick by the other damge goes from 35% to 17%.
The one major thing i hate about Scorpion is his spear, it misses your opponent if he is really close to you, and the long recovery if you missed your spear or it was blocked (timed 2.623 seconds).

i must say a very well played havik is godly. try staying in his first stance and counter with u2. and his grab leads into very easy high damage combos. And his wall game is crazy.

second stance is very weak but it has alot of mix ups.

LOLOLOL, are you serious. OMG. The maker of this thread( Versatile) has the best Sub-zero ever. No Sub is better than his. And you must suck in this game if you think that combos are what make a person good in this game. LOLOLOLOL

Just out of curiosity, why was Jade's ranking dropped so much? Didn't she used to be ranked 8/9?

I personally can't think of any complicated reasons except the fact that she has a high risk and low reward ratio.Most of her moves that set up 50/50 mix ups aren't even safe,and her grab doesn't give any mix ups.I'm almost certain that characters like Scorpion,Kobra,Kabal,Hotaru,and possibly a few others that are debatable are much better than she is.

Anyway,my final (online) top-tier list is:

7.Kobra

An off-line top-tier list would be something like:

1.Dairou (off-line he really owns everyone)
2.BRC
3.N/S

From here,it gets hard to judge.Darrius isn't that good off-line because he can't spam 3 in weapon stance like a motherfucker since it's very unsafe.On the other hand,I'd move up Kabal because his Flash punishes almost anything for huge damage.Basically,the online top-tiers remain also the off-line top-tiers with a few arrangements.

And yes,Dairou is better than Bo.Prove me wrong...

after playing 1000 rounds of online play, I finally agree with the tier list... except I still think tanya is better than Baraka...
No more ice warrior, he really isn't so great...
