Even with the Pink man-face that's a great outfit for Sonya. If those tanlines aren't hiding skin seams and were deliberate, you've got to admire the rare attention to detail (and consistency). Losing the thong straps is great, but that allusion to them is a nice detail.

If only they could have the same kind of sense of continuity across the bloody board, instead of having Scorpion shop at charity stores every few years.

Still not a huge Sonya fan, but it looks okay. I think the masculine face criticism is a bit overstated. I see where people are coming from, but it doesn't seem that bad to me.

But as I said for Smoke in MKD, why so little clothing? The costume is bland. I could swear she had a jacket in the in-game screenshots. Sonya is a fucking soldier. You can make women beautiful without putting them in a transparent tank top (Catwoman came out alright, minus the goggles). Sareena and Li Mei are understandable, especially since the latter was made under the agenda of a sex appeal character. It's all about story context
