Hey, surprise guys, she looks like a female soldier!

The only trade I would have made is the facial composition for Keri Hoskins.

Other than that, she friggin perfect! I love it. Looking at the render from worldscollide.com, everything is in order. All the textures and everything are good, and they make sense to be the way the are. Cloth vs metals vs skin vs hair.

That's a legit upgrade from the MKSM render. That's where she takes the mock-up of her face from.

That's what a military woman is supposed to look like.





+ being a video game chick. So, of course she's going to have some sex appeal to her.

Besides the fact that she doesn't look like Keri Hoskins in the face, she's perfect, I have no complaints about this render.

The overall composition of the whole pose and everything is better than even that Sub-Zero render. I like this one the best so far.

She looks incredibly tough and sexy at the same time, the only thing that would had looked brilliant would had been her pony tail around her neck, what a shame they didn’t include that one!

Predator, man, being in the military does not give women a bad case of manjaw. Even in the pictures you posted the women have rounded out faces with short jaws.

I think the problem here was trying to give her a set stern looking facial shape, but then also trying to make it thin. That comes out too manish to me because it all looks to sharp and blocky.

I lke what The Omnioni did. As I said, she just needed to be a bit softer in the face overall.

Easy... lol.. And so far this stage is the best of all. Not because sonya is in it. But because I love pretty much anything with a war setting. This is gonna be my future \\'hol2ed out stage.

Only point I was trying to make, is that military women don't generally "look good". And of the military women that I've been exposed to, they mainly do take on some masculine features about the face (they all look like "manly women"...makes it seem like a qualification for being a woman soldier. haha!).

So, I'm not surprised that she looks "strong" in the face. It's just not a common "video game" thing to do. Just saying that it's not a complaint from me about that, and that the trade off for Keris' facial features would have been a better attribute to make apparent.

Again, if they'd a made her look more like Keri in the face, the render would be flawless. Maybe even add the ponytail laying around her neck like Queve just mentioned.

But that's it. That's what we wanted for her to look like. I couldn't be more pleased with how much they complied with us on Sonya.

That IS much better. Look, I'm loving everything on the new Sonya, she's arguably sporting the best outfit and look in all these long years, but they really said "fuck it" on the face. Have they forgotten the gorgeous little thing that played Sonya in MK3+? Have they forgotten what a good-looking female is supposed to look like?

This is from the magazine where she was revealed. It's a high-res shot of her IN-GAME. And look how beautiful she looks! There is not one flaw in her pretty little face. Now you make a render that totally takes that away? Whatever, it's just a render, I'm sure this doesn't mean they're gonna purposedly screw her face up in-game as well. She seems to still look beautiful during gameplay.

Well, that aside, I'm absolutely loving everything else! They even made the beret work, it was the one thing I was a bit hesitant about.

LOVE the bangs falling over her forehead! I'm extremely glad they exagerated it like that instead of just making it a few strands loose. I wish they'd have shown her ponytail, though, it would've looked amazing in this high-res render, especially falling over her shoulder as queve suggested. Bad move, but w/e.

The top is great, simple, yet sexy, and the black bands add to make it stand out more. And as always, Sonya's lovely lady lumps never cease to amaze us. Just when you thought your eyes couldn't be drawn any longer to her double-E's, she takes off her bra, and we're trapped again. Do you guys think the... ahem... high beams are there in-game, too?

Exposed stomach, as has always been for Sonya, showing off her toned, curvy abs. Very nice. The tan lines where the thong used to be is an excellent replace for the thong itself! I liked the thong, but they managed to replace it with something just as sexy, though more of a subtle sexy. Love it!

Gloves are the best she's ever sported, too. Making it bigger to cover her forearms was a nice addition, and the metal parts in it make it look awesome, more futuristic, stylish. Hey, white nail polish, matches the shirt! ^_^

Okay, the belt is absolutely beautiful! The gold buckle with the symbols stands out, looks amazing, and suits her outfit and persona flawlessly. The silver dog tags are great as well, fit like the last piece of the puzzle. And great little detail they have here with the gold ring and the diagonal band tied into it going around her thigh. It's little details like this that make a character look overall beautiful and unique, so I'm liking what they did very much.

Best pair of pants she's ever had! I liked the black leather-like pants from DA and onward, but like the thong, this is an excellent replacement and I couldn't be happier with it. Her pants look very "sci-fi-like", something a warrior going into outer space to battle something would wear. Color is flawless, a blackish green, and as always, the MK team added little details that make the whole thing one gorgeous piece of her outfit. Great job!

The boots could be my favorite piece of all! They look a-ma-zing! They just kick MK:DA+'s ass, even MKSM! The belts going around it are perfect, I personally couldn't have thought of a better detail. I do wish they'd give her some high heels, though, like in MK4, but this works just fine and fits her personality once again.

So overall, I'm ecstatic with Sonya's new look, and hope this is foreshadowing for what's to come in future installments. The render is gorgeous (minus the screw-up on the face). Thanks for it!

She does unfortunately look like a man in the face. I still like the render overall, but if her boobs were any smaller, I would wonder if Sonya had a sex change or not.

the thing that mayb deceive the careless watchers can be the camera angle...her jaw seems squared(like a man) 'cause is in the same direction as her neck,from the low-left corner.

her eyes are covered by her hair,which is the coolest thing i've ever seen in a Female MK warrior.

Her nose i delicate and soft too,i don't see anything to complain with her face.
the nipple idea is perfect too...in MK the women were not considered sexy enought to catch manga guys and demi-maniacs male players(DoA girls look like models,the MK females look like amazons or soldier,which is not a nice thing) so yeah,basically Midway give to Sonya a very sexy look to catch the attention of non mk players!
and after all catwoman is not sexy at all as they made her in this game,when she should be some kind of dominatrix sexy sadomasochist.
