Shorin Ryu

U+3, 2113, (wall) cs cs F+1... cs, 24, 212 (wall) 2 df2, sidestep, throw

i only did the 2cs off of the OTG so far for 117% but that 118% is confirmed to be his highest, he does not have higher



or does he..wink


btw, midscreen i couldnt walk up after the 41% but maybe i could for player 1, havent even tried yet. will another day.

midscreen definitly works for the otg, he has 130% or somewhere around there, ill get it when i feel like it, but it is:

figured id throw this in there since its a midscreen only combo ( works in corner too obviously, but is his highest midscreen for sure )

112% for Kobra -- Midscreen

congratulations on getting that li mei double flip kick!! its hard sometimes. if your really quick, you can sometimes juggle after the 2nd flip, such as, mi zong b4,cs,cs,flip,flip,2,flip,ff2. ill try to capture it later.

im not sure about kabal's highest. the highest i have ever gotten with him is 73% open air, but im sure he has a higher wall combo than that, and even higher open air possibly im not sure. here is what im talking about

that kobra combo is an otg but the damage doesnt lower itself like it does normally? i thought all otg combos have thier damage slowly reduced until its nothing. but this one has really is not reduced at all??

when you say u3, you can juggle after that flame flipkick attack that he has? i had no idea that you could juggle after that!!!

no, the damage after it is not reduced, tested on both controllers.

flame flipkick is U+4, not U+3, U+3 is a sidestep mid kick

note: its easier to do on player 2 than player 1 ( of course ) and midscreen doesnt work for player 1, and might not even work for player 2... remains to be seen till i can walk up and hold block with another controller

also for your monster inf, hold up and back with another controller because doing ss hellfire is too slow for it to be a inf, and id like to know for sure, you cant guarentee something unless u absolutly make sure with another controller. and like i said, ss hellfire is way too slow compared to backdash hellfire.

to anyone interested

i may have posted this a while ago, but i want to compile all the combos in this thread for each character and have it easily selectable on the first page for people to click instead of having to go thru this huge thread.

for anyone who would like to help, im sure it would be a great way to earn some dragon points and save alot of people a great deal of time and trouble looking through all of this.

after each character make a post so that the first page has a link to where it is.

if not, ill take care of it myself, but would appreciate some sort of help. ( pages 1-10, 10-20, etc, just like that, littleby little we'll get there )

and of course, your welcome to add your own combos to the list. thank you

konqrr, what do u think, a good idea or not?

To whom it may concern:

All of you have done well in contributing combos and the like. While browsing this enormous thread I agree with check that it's annoying trying to find every character's combo in 54 pages. I have a suggestion.

Can we start a new section that cover's checks 100%+ combos that involve ss throws and wall bounces?

Some people (like me) see a combo and are frustrated when we can't get it work. We then find out that proper distance and ss throws are involved. It would be easier if we had headings for "Corner" and "Open Air" combos in this section.

So at a glance we would know the highest % for each character and a couple of their legit combos. And at another part of this section would be "advanced" combos that deal with "wall/glitch/throw" factors. I think it would be easier and more enjoyable. I'd be happy to help as I can but I am by far probably the least useful at these high combos. Most of the ones I came up with I found were later posted months earlier. I could give my highest %'s for each character but I know that they are lower than what you guys have.

Also, Check I'd like to PM you sometime about the combo video. Please let me know a good time for that.

CHECK: I knew that the last hits for the corner ones were blockable. However, if you are able to get unsuspecting players online (which I quite often do) who think you are going to try to hit them high with a launcher move instead of the last low hit, you WILL get that percentage I posted and, therein, have a legitimate hit and combo. To be honest, a lot of the OTG combos I have been able to get out of from players online who really know how to pull them off. They'll even ask me after the match how I was able to block it or roll away in time. I have no real answer as it was just a matter of hitting the buttons at the right time. I still don't know what the exact timing is. And I can usually avoid a throw as a last hit in a combo. Plenty of times, I hear over my headset the other player saying, "BULLSHIT" when I get out of their OTG or "throwing enders". And when I get out of it again, they add "FUCKIN' BULLSHIT" to their slogans! LOL!!
Thanks for the props for the Ermac combo. Those last 2 hits are really hard to pull off, but pretty easy if you do the last 2~2~1 pretty soon after the lift and keep it high in the air. Also, just an FYI, if you end it with the "Tele-toss" instead of b+1~3, it's 49%. It's one percent lower, but still pretty cool to see!! I was so syked when I saw how high in the air the opponent was after the last 2~2~1 set. I figured that there had to be something else I could do besides the "Tele-toss". Low and behold, there it was: half your life gone in one shot and all open air!! My favorite kind!!!! LOL!!

there really is no rolling out of a otg, espicially near a wall, your basically stuck.

but i see what youre saying, since they are near wall, its easier to punish, either way, they duck, they get hit, they dont they get thrown. just one happens to be completly unavoidable, and thats really what i was pointing out

in other news, the master has done it again, another sick noob smoke, something ive always wanted to do but have no idea why i never got it, or tried. maybe its this bulky controller, lol... cant wait to get my new one later, but this one is great too! just too big

check - my mistake!! i didnt read that you said kali sticks anywhere.. i didnt know to start in that stance. sorry again. very nice kobra otg combo man. its beautiful. is it too late to get it into the movie?? you gonna record it onto a vhs tape??

id be happy to help you with your combo organiztion. how should we go about doing this? you wanna keep all your otgs in 1 spot or you wanna just include them with regular combos? i know you like to use throws in your combos, but should we have a seperate list of throw combos too? so that you can read over all the different kinds?

is that a new smoke combo that you were talking about on aim? did you capture it yet on vhs??

UP and 3 in Shorin Ryu, its not hard to understand.... lol, i never said it starts in Kali, i even wrote shorin ryu... the otg off the wall F+1 is kali. dont get why u cant just do u3 in shorin ryu, its clearly written U+3 starting in Shorin ryu...

all combos without throws were posted prior in the early parts of this thread and most big combos are just the same with throws attached to them.

ill record it before i send the tapes... hopefully konqrr will get working on this thing soon, mka is right around the corner.

and no, the smoke combo on aim and on here was u4,stars, ss, d1, stars, etc.... this one is U+4, 124 (wall) stars, etc....

i want to keep all the combos together, we will see how it looks when its done. i may only seperate the open airs from the walls, thats it.

but this is a group decision, so youre all welcome with your opinions, i only ask for now to just get all of them together.

ill talk to u on aim about it soon, and yes ill record everything when i feel like it, theres no rush at the moment, but its only a handfull of combos, wont take long... later

im lucky i got the b1 at the end, the stars off the wall works much different than player 2's (of course) nearly impossible to get it so that the stars dont send him behind you, which it what happened and is why im lucky i got b1 after it. this might actually be a inf, depending if i can get a combo off of the second stars into the wall again and do another stars. that would be sick!!! but itll never happen

btw,no ff4 off of the second stars because the stars count as a pop up, and smokes ff4 otg only works off a single pop up, itll act as the third or just miss all together for some reason. if someone can do u4 u4 stars ff4 let me know, id greatly appreciate it

you topped your stars wall combo for smoke, excellent. im anxious to see it in action, as i have tried this combo and it is very fucking hard. please make sure it goes in the video!! the highest noobsmoke wall combo is what you just posted right? you said its 'the best' and its all legit too!! no throw as i can see.

by the way, i dont think luck had anything to do with it, LOL.

not a dumb question, i can try and answer..

konqrr has been sick and his family, and works ridiculous hours now that certain people have quit at his job.

i really dont think any progress has been made, but i could be wrong, he just recently bought a vcr, so if he has worked on it... it would have only been in the last 2 weeks or so..

other than that, i really dont know. i do not visit this site anymore except to keep in touch with him and others thru PMs. this thread is an exception, but all in all, this site is just not for me.

just reporting back to someone here who is actually worth replying to. smile take care erik...

for real, i dont like, because this is not mkd.
this is not what a mk fan like.
the movies with kitana, cage and so on are nice but
these combos are not cool.

well just to update the status of the combo video, no progress has been made yet, i talked to konqrr and he said a few tapes would be done by today, im guessing a few is 3 or 4. but havent heard from him if it happened or not.

with that said, dont get ur hopes up for this to come out before mka, theres about 50 tapes, 300 combos. so youre just gonna have to wait like the rest of us.

i will be sending out the remaining 7 tapes saturday, so check for them next week kell...

Wow, bummer! Oh well. Kinda sucks that by the time it comes out it'll be so anti-climactic. But, whatever. Still should be cool.
