I'm going to buy the Midway Treasures for X-Box, PS2 loads too damn much.

When and where? And are these games cheaper then most? Usually see these game for like 30 or 20 bucks?

just hope that there will have a midway arcade treasure 3 with MK4 in the near future...

Im happy with MK1 to 3. I woulda liked UMK3 also, but its still gonna kik ass. I would expect MK4 to come out on the next Midway compilation....

A proper home-release of MK4 have never been released and I hate to wait...

(if you can call that detailed)

So it's very possible for them to port them to MAT2 since they were responsible for the arcade machines.
Also Primal Rage was made by Atari which is now owned now by Midway. The Atari that is out now was known as Infogrames which is far different from the original Atari.
Original Atari= Midway now
Infogrames= New Atari
Anything Midway manufactures they can put onto MAT2 I think.

Sabazi, if you're thinking I said desigined, thats not what I was saying. The arcade KI were manufactured under the liscence of Midway.

That doesn't matter. Midway manufactured the hardware and cabinet, but they had nothing to do with the making of the actual game, which means they have no rights whatsoever to that game. Nintendo and RARE were the only owners, which ownership is now fully under RARE, so Midway cannot use Killer Instinct since it's in no way their game. They didn't create the characters, music, backgrounds, ect, so they have no ability to use them without RARE's permission.
Look at the boxes for KI on SNES and KI Gold on N64. Notice that Midway's logo doesn't exist on either box, or in the instruction book, or in the game itself when it's playing? It's because Midway had no part of the making the game.

Funny enough, I think by keeping MK4 off, they did make people happy.

I have the box and instruction manual for Snes. I always knew about the console versions, but I always saw and heard about the Midway liscence on the arcade.
Theres an arcade KI 2 blocks away from me.
I should guess that we'll go with your answer. My mistake, lets forgive and forget.

Midway own's it or something I'm guessing?
-----------------
I too also have an arcade with KI 1 and 2 in it and they both have Midway on it. Even www.klov.com shows it.
So I'm guessing if it's owned all by Rare that the Xbox version could atleast get them since Mircosoft owns Rare now. And then maybe the Ps2 version could get two exclusive games.
But imo, since Midway was responsible for KI 1 and 2 being brought out in the arcades it should be able to port atleast the arcade versions on this MAT2.

It is true what most people are saying here. Midway has nothing to do with the KI games. KI was created by rare period. IN case you didn't know rare is rumored to make KI3 on Xbox. Again look on the KI box or when you start uo KI 1 or 2. You will see nothing but NIntendo and Rare credits. Back to the thread I am amped that Midway arcade treasures is coming with Primal Rage, I've always wanted to try it at arcades and makes me feel back the primal rage 2 was mid way to being finsihed and the plug was pulled. As a MK fan I am so happy that a arcade perfect port of my fav 2-D MK is coming(MOrtal Kombat 3). Too bad Midway arcade treasures isn't coming to gamecube, well I guess I get it for PS2 :.\

I know Midway had nothing to do with the console versions of KI 1 and 2 but it's a different story for the arcade ones.
Midway is cleary the manufacturer for the original/arcade versions of KI 1 and 2. Since they would be porting nothing but the arcade versions then I don't see why they couldn't do it.
Cause without them, who knows how the arcade versions would have turned out. They used Midway's hardware which was always good for fighting games.
If that is not helping Rare enough them I dunno what is. Atleast the Xbox version could get both of them since Microsoft owns Rare now.
