How much of that represented actual gameplay?

I thought I saw an X Ray attack, and MK4 style Limb Breaker moves.

Interesting fight, I like the blocking catch/push away dynamic, but wonder if that requires extra button inputs.
Not commands, but directional blocking or cushioning/absorbing inertia to push back moving from blocking, to blocking +away to blocking +down to blocking +towards or just blocking away n towards to bounce/push the attacker back. Maybe some fancy shi they can finally program without convoluted move commands.

The trailer made my pants a little tighter.. I forsee myself frantically checking MKO everyday until release for roster updates Circa 2010 (for MK2011).

First, off I hurried on here to start typing my thoughts on the trailer and have yet to read other comments. Is it speculated that parts of this are actual gameplay? If so, it looks amazing; might have to wait for e3 to find out that detail. It is my personal opinion/hope that it is actual gameplay (excluding the parts in which the camera angles shift for theatrical effects.) I am resting my hat on the word "cinematic" fighting experience in the upcoming game.

I love to see the environment getting utilized during the fight, very cool.

Glad to see xray make a comeback.

Love the character design

Wow, this is pretty cool! There's not much I can say about the gameplay since it isn't really shown, but it looks like they might have taken some influence from Injustice. You can see Sub-Zero whack Scorpion with a branch that be picked up and froze. You can also see him swing into Scorpion from a branch, so I'm assuming that hints at some sort of stage interaction. It would be weird for them just to do that in the trailer if you couldn't do it in the actual game. And of course, X-Rays are back. I kinda wish they showed some gameplay in between the CGI like they did in the MK9 announcement trailer though.

Sub-Zero looks interesting in the fact that there's obviously something off about him, as if he were undead or has been through hell and back. It could mean that Noob has returned to Sub-Zero, but I think it's Kuai Liang, which means the other characters in the Netherrealm may be coming back too. Other than that I didn't find anything particularly interesting about him, but he does look neat and I'm glad they toned it down with the armor. I guess the dead sub-zero situation is nothing to worry about anymore.

This is probably my favorite look for Scorpion since Deadly Alliance though. I'm glad they toned his outfit down from the ridiculously overloaded MK9 costume, He really looks like a ninja assassin. I love the hood, the leather pieces, the pants, the wrist and shin guards, just everything about it works.

Other than that I don't have much to say. Neat trailer, I actually liked the music even though I ususally don't like rap, and I can't wait to see more at E3. Oh... and WHY DOES SUB-ZERO ALWAYS HAVE TO LOSE!!! I like Scorpion, but god damn, it's ALWAYS him winning!

EDIT: ADDED ORIGINAL TEXT True Sub's face is a little raiden-esc. but I am loving the costume design. Subby is my favorite character (after human reptile) and I am very pleased with what I saw in the trailer.

I'm not a fan of this idea.

1. Mk9 setup what the sequel is about clearly.

2. Scorpion has his powers which clearly shows it wouldn't be too far in the distant past.

3. Who would be on the roster?

Human Sub-Zero coming back is not a game breaker for story guys. They killed cyber subs right after he was introduced. Sub-Zero is a staple. They shouldn't have turned him in the first place.

Didn't care for the music in the trailer...didn't think it fit well with the video. And by the way Depeche Mode playing during the credits to Injustice was one of the few things I liked about the game.

Anywho Scorpion looks so much better and toned down compared to Injustice and his Primary in 2011.,

Sub-zero is really giving off a Bi Han vibe. His design does too.

The stage looks...nice but idk if that's just for the trailer...
You'll remember the Kratos trailer didn't exactly give us the stage they were fighting in.

Can't wait for some gameplay and more characters during E3.

Well it's probably not too far off Whopper. You graduate soon right? Lucky you, a few years from now you'll be able to say "MKX was announce not too long before I graduated". Sadly, for me I had no awesome game to mark the year I graduated...well MKVSDC came out a few months prior but that's hardly gives me the warm fuzzies.

Because u can't turn the music up. House or Electronic Dance Music works because that is hype music and it's supposed to be played at high volume like they do in Nightclubs and Bars.

Am I the only one that thinks that there is actually some gameplay in this trailer? There are some parts and aspects that just don't look like they were made through CG. I really think we've had a glimpse of MK10's gameplay.

I think so too. It all doesn't look 100% CGI to me.

I'm glad someone thinks the same! I've watched it a few times and so's my friend, and we both said that it really looks like it could be gameplay. I just think the beginning and the end were the only parts in CGI. When it goes to the 2D angle, it just looks so much like actual gameplay.

I'm convinced that around 90% of this trailer is gameplay.

From the look of it, everything looks like MK9, but better. More moves, more fluidity. Nex X-Ray looks more advanced. Designs are nice. Atmosphere - top notch.

Scorpion and Sub-Zero look nice. Scorp reminds me about heavily upgraded MK1 costume. Sub looks kind of like his MKDA versions. Though, his "jacket-thing" looks like it made out of denim, which brings to mind recent meme. If Raiden in this game, I hope he doesn't have lampshade for a headgear.

Anyway, finisher looked nice. Interactivity was interesting, but I'll wait until actual gameplay to judge how (and if) its done. The same goes for the story. There is nothing, that allow to make any kind of concsluions. Well, human Sub in this game, but anybody with the realistic outlook, knew that it will be the case.

Music was horribly out of place. Remind me about SF4 and infamous Indesctructible track. In both cases, videos looked kind of goofy with such music.

In the end, it is not bad clip for a teaser, but I'd prefer to have a bit more information - like actual gameplay footage, confirmation of 2-3 characters, besides to obvious duo, and general idea about the plot. Well, I guess, it'll wait up to E3. I hope NRS will bring there something more, rather than only two playable characters.

Pressrelease is intriguing. Themost interesting thing about it: is a multiple versions of the characters. It can be anything, But I'll shoot in the sky and theorize, that it's something akin to "isms" system from Street Fighetr Apha 3. I don't think NRS will recreate previous versions of characters, because in many pas MKs, game mechanics were radically different.

Crossgen thing is awesome. It means I could by game for the PS3 on the day of the release. Of course, if I won't upgrade my PC before.
