I think a tournament is an awesome idea, once we get a big enough pool of players we can start putting tournaments together for the various games.

Bustauppa and myself had some good matches yesterday. Most of em went 3 rounds and they were all a lot of fun.
We're pretty evenly matched actualy, I dunno who won - but I'm sure it was close.
Games like these make me hope we can get a tourney going one day, would be awesome if we could....

lol, I didn't even realize that was you last night. Actually I was just heading back to this thread to see if "db" was one of the names on the main list, and sure enough there you were. Those were indeed some great games. I believe we had fought each other previously as well, and as I remember those were some great matches too. Now, a good round of squash matches with Matt have their appeal (and they're EDUCATIONAL), but it's also great when you get an opponent you can just go back and forth with... awesome stuff man!Bustauppa and myself had some good matches yesterday. Yeah, I like having an opponent who is of the same level of skill - those matches are the most entertaining. Obviously playing the highest level players is great for getting better, but for sheer fun and a good challenge, it's good to come across decent players and have the matches go back and forth.
And yeah we had played before (but a while ago) and those matches were very close too, good stuff - hope to see ya online again soon

Yeah last night we had a good 4 player going with DreemerNJ, Blackwizard and Check, but up to 6 people in the room, Krsx didn't get to play unfortunately but he watched for a while and commentated, but perhaps tonight we'll go again. Things are starting to pick up we can hope to add more people to the list.

Yeah, I was just chillin taking in some cool matches. There was this one H. Smoke / Kung Lao match that needed to be recorded - it was awesome! Plus someone (I think it was Matt, but I didn't know who the hell was who most of the time) pulled off a hype H. Smoke 60% - in two back to back games Haha, it was great.
Good too see some high level comp online, classics mk aint dead...

Oh yeah, I forgot the air throw adds unseen damage And yeah, how did u lose? ---
And since u reminded me of the air-throw damage, can u tell me how much rougly this combo does then;
(Robo-Smoke)
AA JK, tele-uppercut, JK, Air throw = 3 HITS/40%, but it's a lot more...

That combo is 60%, since there is no damage protection activated by doing the jump kick in air, all the hits do full damage. If they were standing it would do roughly 30%.
I lost cause I was a bit rusty I think...afterwards I was on a runaway win streak anyway so it didn't matter lol. Just warming up.

I need to get in on one of those 4+ player sessions again. Last time I did that, I slowed everyone down to a crawl because of my chat settings... game ran smoothly, but whenever anyone chatted, the text stayed on the screen forever and the game practically froze. Anyway now I have it set so that the chat skips the game screen entirely and only appears in the Kaillera client window. Heh, now that I know what i'm doing it will be sweet to get some multiplayer action going on again.

I played a guy named W30 (I think) yesterday, and he was good. We had some decent matches, very entertaining - he was a solid umk3 player. Recently there seems to be an increase of higher level umk3 play - I've been playing some tough competition, and goes to show that there are tons of good quality umk3 players on kailerra that aren't on the list in this thread...unfortunate too, cus it'd be great to organize a big tourney.

Moe30W is probably the best UMK3 player on Kaillera, some people have said they think I am better than he is, but he definitely has a lot of tactics down with a lot of characters and that seperates us, he's overall very crafty and the best MK player I've ever played. One of maybe 3 or 4 total people I know who I can't say for sure I will win every time I play them.
There is a UMK3 tourny coming on Sunday February 20th in Dunellen, NJ if anyone lives in the tri-state area (NJ NY PA) and it's practically right across the street from a train station so getting there and back is a matter of getting a ride to your local trainstation if anyone is interested in going. I will be there along with the Prophet and several other good players.

That was the guy! I dunno if he's the best though, I beat him a few times - but it seemed as if he was a bit rusty, like he hadn't played in a while. We had another guy in the match who wasn't too good, and moe30 just embarrased the hell outta him - it was like he was playing around with him - I found it hilarious. Anyways moe is definitely well rounded, solid with almost all the fighters, which is rare. One of the best players I've seen on kailerra. I'm gonna have to start recording matches, when he was messin about with that guy, and when I was watchin the four-way match a little while ago - somebody needs to capture this stuff...
