I don't understand for a second how anyone thought a game that had Batman, the Joker, Superman and Lex Luthor running around in it was part of MK canon.

Does anyone remember that chapter of Street Fighter where Akuma got cybernetic implants from Apocalypse?

I remember,you are talking about Marvel vs street fighter,another crossover.Personally,despite what Ice Baby says,I knew from the time MK vs DC came out that this game wasn't canon,and I didn't understood it now.90% of the users in this forum know that MK vs DC is not canon.The point is what the mk team considers it to be or thinks it is.But I bet that Boon doesn't count it as canon.

I didn't include Shaolin Monks because it's an adventure game, not a fighting game. I only mentioned the fighting games, not the adventure ones.
But, if you include SM into the series, then what about MK Mythologies: Sub-Zero? That's before MK1... And if you think that SM should fit somewhere in that time line, then MK1 isn't MK1... (Unless you do it Resident Evil style and claim that Mythologies is MK0... which makes no sense.)

MK mythologies was a piece of crap,just like what MK special forces was too.For many fans,they don't even count as games related to MK!lol!They don't even get mentioned from Boon.Shaolin Monks is an excellent game and maybe Boon counts it despite being an adventure game.

Mythologies wasn't so bad of a game. It was insanely hard however, and marred badly by the damn turn around button. It absolutely counts in terms of MK's plot - it's where Scorpion dies, and all the events surrounding the damn amulet start. And of course, it inadvertently foreshadows the elder Sub-Zero's transformation into Noob Saibot (thought up years later).

Can't defend Special Forces though. It gave us nothing apart from a muscular brown ninja people joke about years later. >_>

Don't forget to include the very poor acting in the PlayStation version. I can't take this game's story seriously without looking at Sub-Zero breathing insanely hard or Quan Chi's assassins, they were a riot to watch.

Yeah, the game was somewhat a joke, but, it's still gotta place in my heart as a good game to play when you're trying to conquer all the PlayStation games like Spyro or Crash Bandicoot, before the end of the semester is over.

Now cyberdog propably found out that the new game is simply called 'Mortal Kombat'.Pffffffff...
