Almost wish they would've waited for freddy this go round. Then at least both guests could've had their own story. Freddy-vs-Jason 2. That could also justify 2 guests instead of one or preferably none. Like many others I feel it's a waste of roster space. I'm a huge horror fanatic but my mortal kombat is its own monster.

It's funny that we got Freddy for MK9 and Jason for MKX. It's all backwards.

Freddy would have worked great with the new intro system while Jason doesn't really have anything to say. But I guess NRS has always been backwards, so it's all normal :).

Not really. I mean I'm not one of those people who will turn their nose up at a guest character. But I'm not liking how this is looking. Something tells me NRS is going to feel obligated to cram in at least one horror character per MK game now.

True about the backwards thing. Motaro should have been a playable/fightable opponent in MK9 instead of MKA. Though intros can still work with silent characters, imo.

I disagree. You can do new things with the same guests, just like with MK characters. Freddy's got a lot of potential for fatalities and movesets, and the latter could greatly benefit from the variation system. And let's not forget the intros.

Well since we are getting another guest whether we like it or not I wouldn't be mad about it, but I think some people would be a little underwhelmed if they made Freddy DLC again.

I don't know... The Motaro case isn't the same as the Freddy/Jason thing. They can't put Motaro due to tech limitations, it's the same reason they made Motaro into a fucking guy with horse legs in MKA. And if I were to chose I'd rather never see Motaro again than that disgrace of a character they called Motaro in MKA. That was not Motaro What so ever!

As for Jason, Yeah I agree with you that they could make Intros work for him. I'm not saying they can't, I'm just saying Freddy would have worked better with Intros, since he is the one with the personality and the funny lines. Jason will just breath and do something dumb like look at his machete. I don't want to judge now though, I'll wait and see what he does. But whatever they do with him, Freddy would have done it better with the new Intro system.

Do I want Freddy in MKX? Nope, I didn't even want him in MK9. But I was just pointing out the facts. :).

Freddy was fun to play as every once in a long while but it isn't something I would bother paying for again. Maybe free DLC but I doubt that would happen with an entire character that made them a lot of money last time around.
