Personally I feel Baraka fits the style of this game better than Reptile. His Brutalities and Fatalities would really fit the mold. Yeah variations may be an issue but NRS could figure it out. Is it just me or am I the only one who feels like Mileena is lacking in the allies department? She has Rain(who's probably a NPC), Reiko(who also may be unplayable), and Goro who is preorder DLC. Baraka would have been a nice go to for her. I just think they should have picked more fighters across all factions. Special Forces and Kotal's clan seem to take up the majority of the roster.

Let's not forget the Cyrax and Sektor switcharoo in MK9 and the fact that Takeda has a non SF attire with a regular whip instead of his wrist mounted ropes. Alternate costumes can be anything.

Anyway, why Reptile over Baraka? Because Shujinko should be done reviving Onaga in the middle of the story and he will need a host body like in the original timeline. Onaga final boss confirmed.

Because, even though Reptile is useless, Baraka is even more useless then him. And Reptile looks cooler, at least he changes much more than Baraka.
