I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't make MK11.

But they way he is demanded was like Rain for MK9 and Martian Manhunter for Injustice. Fans feel for whatever reason they should be in and complete the game in a sense. I fully expect him to be DLC for this game though. Ed knows people want him.

About Me

As Mr. Sloan always says, there is no "I" in team, but there is an "I" in pie. And there's an "I" in meat pie. Anagram of meat is team... I don't know what he's talking about.

Well... that won't be nearly as bad as Rain not making it....

I can hear it now...sleep

As for his importance, I'm pretty sure Earthrealm protector in the first universe is a big deal. But unfortunately he and his fans are at the mercy of whatever NRS feels like doing. Johhny Cage use to not be important but low and behold he and his daughter are strongest beings in the universe apparently.

And there's the problem, right there. We are at the mercy of NRS, and it's too bad for Fujin, because if he remained the protector of Earth, and the guide character in MKDA, maybe he could've had some significance. Instead, as soon as he becomes the new protector of Earth, bam, cop out, Raiden says, "Nevermind, I wanna come back. Fujin, hit the benches." But that's how it happened, and as a result, he took a major back seat, and only played the tiniest of parts in Armageddon, where he got his ass handed to him by a half-god newbie. Not the most impactful of legacies.

As for Johnny Cage, at least he played a significant role in the movie, which may not coincide with the game's canon, but it was still a memorable performance that left an impression on people and gave a good sense of what his personality may be like. And then again in Legacy, where he was really cool too. Fujin never had such luxury, unfortunately.

Johnny is a classic character, so naturally he tends to get more special treatment than 3d character when it comes to be included into the game. Also, I don't remember Raiden taking his job back from Fujin. As far as we know Fujin was still protector. NRS just didn't make anything of that. It's an important role with missed potential. And to be fair, everybody got beat by Taven. Just like Shinnok got beat by Cassie, doesn't mean he wasn't important in mkx. (Or was supposed to be.)

Hmm... I guess it never was said out right. But still, that was basically the gist of it. He relinquishes his status as Elder God and gathers earth's mortals to kombat the Deadly Alliance, so that means one of two things: Either he took the protector of Earth title back from Fujin, or Fujin was still protector and didn't do anything about it. Now, personally, I'd like to think that if Fujin still had the title, he'd have actually been in there, fighting with them, so I guess I just came to that conclusion.
Shinnok was the main villain of MKX though, so that's different. Fujin just shows up in Armageddon and basically tells Taven that he can't go through, Taven kicks his ass and that's that. Heck, even without a single line of dialogue, his role in MK Mythologies was more significant.
Either way, my whole point is, the character has a lot of potential, but they just haven't done anything good with it thus far.

And I mean, it's not beyond hope, MK has had plenty of squandered characters that ended up making great comebacks and coming off like awesome badasses, gaining new popularity. Stryker immediately comes to mind, and now Shinnok.
Fujin's storms don't involve shit, just regular storms I think.

I fully expect Fujin to be in MKX before all is said and done.

I'll probably be pretty upset. I'm already pissed off that he didn't make the initial roster, there's literally no reason that he shouldn't have.

seeing the 3D era characters get shafted yet again was hard. Tired of Quanchi and Kenshi being the only 3D era characters to have so much favoritism from the MK team. They're not even all that! they just get shoved down our throats more often is all. They both got to return in games directly following their debut (which is rare for new characters).

Not me. While it would have been cool if he was in, I'm way more upset about noob and smoke. Would rather see a shit storm on their behalf.
