Predictable, simple, holds no staying power. There is no significance in his reappearance that way IMO sorry. Almost everyone comes up with that line.

Rains comeback would also add another name for the good guys which is overall dumb. Not to mention that Edenian fighters are almost always women in the main linage of MK, so let's not break that tradition again.

Too may good guys already. Let's see we have Raiden, Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade, Sub-Zero, Blind Kenshi, Fujin, Sindel, Kitana, Jade, Nightwolf, Jax Briggs, Bo' Rai Cho, Cyrax, Ermac and if you consider he's/she's alive or supposedly "good" in some way Stryker, Kai, Ashrah, Frost and maybe Sareena working towards defeating the current evils of each MK game. Thats 16 or 21 characters.

How many true villains MK had? And I mean absolutely evil. Well we have Shang Tsung, Shao Kahn, Mileena, Baraka, Kano, Shinnok, Quan Chi, Jarek, Tanya (look at her MK4 ending, tough she is neutral mostly. She took pleasure in seeing LIu Kang lured into a trap), Drahmin, Moloch, Onaga and maybe two or three others if not.

16/21 against 12? Not quite balanced if you ask me, and the remains are either completely neutral, or simply don't have ties to the main plot or to the main characters. Adding another good guy..what would that change in basics??? And is it necessary???

well actually goro was fighting for edenia but then kahn stopped him. also bo rai cho was also fighting on the side of edenia in his ending. and alot of the edenian soldiers you see in konquest are men. so y would it be bad if rain sided with edenia?

WE do need jarek back and we need rai because he is part of the ninja family!

And exactly that is why we don't need them, but mostly Rain. Hmm, Goro allied himself with Edenia, but we don't know about Bo' Rai Chos origins (he is from Outworld, not Edenia, but from where? Lei Chen?).

I'm sick and tired of the rehearsing of ninjas. Rain is the least original of them, and just to bring him back for the sake of being there is the dumbest idea ever. At least try to rewamp him completely like Ermac and give huim oriinal moves and a decent storyline.

So overall f**k the ninja family already.

Well don't mean to bump but if Rain was ever put into another MK, of course they would revamp his character. I think a lot of people don't realize that when characters are placed in a newer game they get revamped. Such common sense yet people don't think.

If rain was to return then he will get a fresh storyline and a revamp. But unfortunately I think Rain is dead forever there are just too many hints and I will say them again:

- In his MKT ending he commits suicide.
- There is a code that you input in the vs screen in UMK3 and when you do it it says at the bottom, "Rain can be found in the graveyard" Why would you be at a graveyard? Another hint that he is dead.
- Jade kills him off in Konquest.

And if he does get resurrected and he was to be evil then he will just become another traitor aka Tanya. If he is good then he will be like Jade.

So I think it is sadly game over for Rain.

I hope Rain comes back for MK7. Rain has alwasy been my favorite ninja. His special moves are cool and his backstory shows he has a lot of potential to return. The games need to have an edenian male character that's playable. All the other playable edenians are females.

Rain should not only be revamped but, he also needs to be given a purpose for the story. I think Rain should wear an edenian and purple warrior outfit with no mask for his primary costume. While his alternate costume could be a purple ninja outfit with a mask. He doesn't have to look the way he did in MK: Defenders of the Realm but maybe similar.

For his backstory, he should be a good guy fighting with Edenia. They could resurrect his father (who was general of the edenian army) as a bad guy. Rain would than be on a mission to warn his father of their true past. He could also become a new love interest for Kitana.

Rain, Rain, go away.......too many ninjas anyway. Reptile's a better pick.

i want Rain back. hes been gone for too long. he could have a crucail part to play in the main story line if he goes up against Kahn. besides having his lightning move (like Nightwolf has in MKD) i wonder what other special moves he would have? the super RH kick would be BS in 3D. and i dunno bout that one pop up move he had in UMK3 if that would work well in 3D. but be kool to have the lightning strike move he had in UMK3 like NW has in MKD. although ive wondered y can Rain do that move?

I'd like to see Rain back. I believe every character has potential to be interesting, even the ones that just made one appearance in a game. If they totally got rid of the whole ninja look, that would be even better. The only ninjas should really be Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and Noob. The only true ninjas. Reptile's a reptilian creature, Ermac's a being made of souls with glowy eyes, and Rain's a regular Edenian with a gift involving lightning. But don't associate him too closely with lightning, then a lot of people would compare him too closely with Raiden, possibly calling him a Raiden rip-off. But Rain would be a great returning candidate. A male Edenian character, pretty fresh.

I'm a fan of the ninja family (least to favorite: Human Smoke, Scorpion, Reptile, Sub Zero, Noob Saibot, Ermac, and Rain and if im missing any then...whoops and i like them all from MK2) and I hafta say I like all the ninjas, so keep them all I say but maybe revamp their storylines. And despite the fact im against HUGE appearance changes for the ninjas it would Rain what with wearing...purple....If it were a darker purple id be fine with it but its so bright. iM not even bring any stupid "oh hes gay" isues here im just saying how the hell is bright purple stealthy. Oh and he didnt commit suicide. He went to kill shoa khan and was killed but they called it a suicide mission because thats what you call it when someone goes to defeat the odds and fails misreably. He didnt put a gun to his head and say "oh the ninja life is a hard life!"

The 'purple' costume of Rain was a parody, so they probably need a complete revamp, like Shang Tsung and Ermac.

I think we all love Rain... not for how cool he looked or for his powers.... but for all the revamp potential he has!!! his story was barely touched, and his powers could make him a spectacular fighter...

I REALLY want rain back... and I would like him in his ninja outfit... only and updated version.... kinda like Ermac...

And respecting Good vs. Evil... I want Rain to be the new Wild Card... since scorpion and ermac switched to good... I think Rain is th only one with an ambiguous enough story to fill this position
