This is incorrect. Shaun confirmed he wasn't talking about characters that debuted in the game, just ones that were in it.


Reiko should definitely be in MKX, but as the big bad.. I don't know. He'd have to have a major change.

Hes right but reiko being in will at least explain Quan Chis relevance after the netherworld war , considering off course he's still in the brotherhood of shadow .
Funny thought , what if Reiko in the comic is just doing what Quan Chi Is telling him what to do.

If Reiko was working for Shinnok, it would be a perfect way to setup Shinnok as the big bad of the next game. Maybe he breaks out of prison at the end of MKX. Reiko being backed by Shinnok/Quan Chi is big bad material IMO.

Reiko was a lot of fun to use in MK4 and had storyline potential, if you ask me. I'm glad they are trying to flesh him out in the comics. If he does make it into the game, though, I don't think he'll be anything higher than a sub boss.

I don't think that would fit hist character to be like the big main boss he seems more like a behind the scenes kinda guy now! like he is responsible for most of the actions that go on but someone else i like the overall boss so if he is involved in the story modes plot i could see him being like a step under the sub boss kinda like shang in mk 9 but a lot smarter and more threatening haha

Reiko onlz began to exist in Armageddon, and even then it was only for a cutscene.


Yes, the comics are painting him in a very good light right now, but he is not cosmic threat level boss.

Reiko is my favorite character, but I agree that he should NOT be the big bad. He seems to be the "Lex Luthor" of the MKU, a badass mastermind. The big bad needs to be Elder God status.

Reiko Kahn....I dunno, to me, it just has a ring to it.

I would love it if he had a plan to seize the throne for himself, and emerged as the big bad for MKX. I had this theory awhile ago that he would be a double agent working for Shinnok to infiltrate Shao Kahn's ranks from the inside. It could still work! Either way, even if Reiko doesn't make it in, I'm really happy to see that they've done something interesting with him.

people always harp on boon for messing with them "or being a troll" but it really isnt the case the problem is there are lots of people who are very easy marks when it comes to MK, this thread is an example.
