Jacqui might be overshadowed by Cassie's charisma and personality, she plays the voice of reason in the comics, but she should be more than that, she needs some sort of struggle of her own, which will likely be related to her dad.

And they NEED to show off the new characters as much as possible before release, fans need to get exposed to them so they can get interested and ultimately invested in them.

Otherwise, chances to flop are doubled, if not, tripled. Comics provide a decent backbone for some of these characters, but that can be considered completely useless when you want to see some effing gameplay.

Who rushed in to fight ermac and got his hands blown off when told not to? Who rushed in and got captured? Who got in a fight with a friend when told to stop? I agree with everything you said, especially the part about her needing a struggle. I'm not really seeing any Scoprion/Sub-Zero or Sonya/Kano rivalries with this roster beside Kotal/Milleena. Who here hates someone enough to challenge them to Mortal Kombat? Saving the realms has always been the thing connecting these personal stories, but we don't know most the people's stories going in this time. We know there is a good guy team, an evil team, Kotal's team, and a bunch of old people formally known as the good guy team.

Kenshi's Revenge against Daegon has more heat than whatever Takeda, Cassie, Jacqui, Kung Jin, D'Vorah, Ferra/Torr, or Erron Black want. I'd imagine it's in the game, but the desire to know is driving me crazy.
