Who cares about the characters skin color? As long as they have good gameplay, interesting background and personality, brutal fatalities etc.. Race shouldn't even matter. If you don't like Jax or Jacqui just don't play as them

I can see them holding off on Liu and Shinnok, but not new characters like Jacqui or Erron Black. Why hide Jacqui when they have officially shown her in a story trailer where she is seen as playable? Doesn't make sense.

Plus new characters need to be shown off. People need something to gauge their opinion on those characters.

At the end of the day, Jax is still a iconic character to the series, a developer's favorite, and a huge favorite to the casual players who liked him ever since his debut in MK2 where he was really strong. Whatever a handful of obsessed haters on MKO and other websites have to say is of no consequence.

As for Jacqui, she may not be the most popular, but i'm sure she'll find her niche.

But I'm saying that people call Jax's dialogue stereotypical of his race but they don't do it for other characters.

Other than Jax's DA alt there isn't much about him that is that insulting to me.

Liu Kang shouts using kiai, that's a pretty cliche Asian martial arts thing. Nobody who hates Liu is using that to call him a stereotpyical "strong Chinese man", only people who dislike Jax are bringing up the race shit and calling him a stereotypical "strong black man" and shit like that because they don't have any good points but want to discredit Jax.

Wow, Jax had one alternate in Deadly Alliance that was a little silly because it didn't fit his character, suddenly he's always been a huge stereotype and that's all his character is. Knock it off.

I still hace that original vive about him but he hasnt be en gracefully displayed in most recient games (MKDA MKD MKA...) where design ( OMFG) and gameplay were justo aweful, but for some reason people didint find him great (as I did) in MK9. Not muy main by dar, but I love Jax, cant wait todo see what they did with him this time around

A few of my friends in the military and some of my friends with higher testosterone (gym rats, sports players) usually talk like that. It's not a black stereotype at all. I'm pretty sure people think Jax is the token black guy only because he is pretty much the only black guy. Darius was forgettable, and Cyrax is mustard, not black.

Getting back to Jacqui, I wonder how her dialogue will go? She seems less witty than Cassie, but I thought the same about Takeda unit the stream. I could totally see her being the straight man/deadly serious one of the group. i.e. Sonya to the previous heroes.

Kung JIn - ?relaxed/doesn't take things to serious?

Jacqui - mature/stick in the mud

There's a huge difference from the regular grunts Kang does and kiai.
