Never given a huge a role in the story but was the enabler of Shinnok's invasion in MK4. Okay.

Female ninja. She lacks the mask but dresses the same although going by that rule, Sindel should count as well and possibly Sareena.

She is an Edenian and not from the Klassic cool kids club. That should be enough.

What's special about anyones favorite character? Seriously tired of Tanya fans being singled out for liking their character and having to explain why all the time. Everyone likes different things. I'm not a big Reptile fan and don't find him all that special but I don't ask why he has so many fans. I just know people have different opinions.

What's so special about Scorpion?

What's so special about Reptile?

What's so special about Sonya?

What's so special about Mokap?

Moveset!!!! I can make a long list but that alone is a good reason to like any character. If u like the way they play why not.

nothing is special about Tanya . but she hasent been seen for some years so people wants her in ^_^ they want to see how she would look with the new graphics engine etc i bet .

I just don't see Tanya as a stand out character really. Scorpion is cool or should I say "hot" because he is an undead character from the Nether realm who can turn people into toast, he has a vicious personality and attitude, and etc. Sonya is a heroine and plays a huge role in the story and stands out. Reptile is cool for his abilities to spit acid, disappear, and is one heck of a ninja. He has had a bigger role than Tanya in the MK storyline. Mokap sucks. What is Apep?

Why does she have to be special? People just like her. That's it. What's so special about Reptile? Nothing and yet that guy has a massive fanbase. What's so special about Scorpion? Nothing and that guy is the face of MK now.

Nothing about her just stands out to me. I feel she only plays like a minor role and for some reason she has a some what big fan base if they're making her one of the downloadable characters. If you want to play as her, I'm fine with that, but as a character I feel she just doesn't stand out compared to other characters.

I could go on for pages about Apep. LOL!

Some people just like that she is a smart deceptive cunning survivor. She knows who to back up in order to live and when to jump ship. People like that sort of character.

I mean hell look at characters like Baraka or Reptile. Nothing but dogs but people love those guys.

Reasons I like her:

Great design (mk deception)
She's evil, treacherous, and conniving
She's like the 'outcast edenian'
She's kinda the fourth female ninja, and plays against jade, but has her own identity from the three, with yellow attire and fire/magic based attacks
She has cool weapons, both the tonfa things and boomerrangs
She has some sweet special moves (cannon drill, invisibility, air fireball)
Some say she could be classified as a type of "sorceress" with interests in "black magic"
She has ties to both Edenia and the netherrealm characters
And she's been underutilized in the series, and underrated at that..

She's a rather one-dimensional character, but her inclusion as DLC tells me that Boon does acknowledge some of the 3D era characters and I'm glad for that.
