I was thinking of saving NRS the time it takes to animate hair, to be replaced with hoods. I think this looks more elegant. Sonya can have short hair and they should work on animating her hair but for other female ninjas, how would u feel if they sported a similar look to this?

To be honest, I would rather if only Kitana was hooded because I think it would work with her, just like the veil works for Mileena.

Perhaps not for all female ninjas then. Maybe for Kitana as it fits her personality.

I definitely wouldn't mind if one of them had a hood, but not everybody.

I wholeheartedly agree. If I remember correctly didn't Skarlet have a alternate costume with hood?? I don't think a hood suits Skarlet all too well because she's a brutal fighter and is related to Blood. It could suit Tanya because she's about magic and hood gives that aura. Or Kitana. I don't know about Jade because she's mixed race and should dress exotically, not regally imo.

IIRC Ermac's alt was hooded and Skarlet is kinda the female Ermac in colour and story. One is made up of Souls and the other is made up of blood.
It might a uniform thing. Like the Chameleon/Khameleon things in Armageddon.
Failing getting Kitana a hood. Maybe a female tarkatan assassin thingy.

How does it fit Kitana's personality? she's the princess, I like the tiara from 2011, let's keep that motif.

Fancy yes. Regal looking (a word that refers to royal appearance)? No. So it does not fit Kitana. Also where would her waist-length hair go?

It does fit Kitana, there can be more than one outfit that fits someone.
Animating hair is hard, yes. It's the hardest thing to animate on a human being.
However, Netherrealm Studios does not need to do the cheapest thing and make it to where they have to hide everyone's hair, especially the females.
For the last time, this isn't a fashion show, it's a fighting game.

MK isn't a fashion show nor is that my intention of what to make MK. I just think most of the female characters who are from Edenia should not dress like strippers because Kitana's a princess, Sindel is Queen etc. So they should be wearing combat fit clothes that are of high value, that is why I suggest fashion from catwalk/runway because they are classy and sassy, whereas Stripper clothes are trashy and of low value. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way, in fact the two most viewed and most replied topics sorted by descending order on the first page in themortalkombat boards is about the girls clothing.

Majority of fighting games are aimed towards men, so of course the women in the game are going to be skimpy. Many people complain about it, but it's not going to change anything towards the concept artists and the model artists. Heck, in the art book, Jade had a very revealing concept in one of the outfits they showed. Clearly, the artists has a type of style for the Edenians, and it doesn't look like they're getting any classier.
They've worn these kinds of outfits for a long time, Kitana's ending in MK vs DC shows more than just Kitana and they wear similar outfits.

First you complain about the girls dressing like stripper, and yet you suggest these far more inappropriate clothes. I like their "stripper" outfits allot better. They are assassins for gods sake, not f*cking models.
And no the hood doesn't fit Kitana at all.

There's no telling what NRS is planning to do with the next installment of the series. Perhaps they may adhere to Hankypanky's requests. It is also possible they could go back to 3D. Or just go the SF3 route & introduce new characters.
This is what happens when we have little to no information concerning this next installment. I still say ending the storyline with a cliffhanger was a cheap shot.

I would hardly call catwalk fashion inappropriate. Kitana is a princess first before she is an assassin second. Catwalk fashion is classier and more stylish than stripper clothes which are trashy. Catwalk fashion is more unique and so it can match the characters' personalities better than stripper-type clothes. I have only included two pictures here from my character costume designs. You keep repeating the same bullsh*t over and over again. How the hell do you expect Kitana (or any other female assassin) to fight in clothes like that. She would be clumsy as hell. Plus they don't match her personality at all.
That link you posted has even less appropriate outfits. And i have a hard time finding one that matches Kitana, Jade, Mileena, etc.
Almost all your other suggestions in the link are ridiculous (to say the least) aswell. I don't know where you came up with that sh*t, but it sure aint happening. Not to mention that on those 2 threats you posted links of earlier almost everyone disagrees with the OP.

Listen u tosser it took a lot of time to make a wishlist like that and lots of good feedback came from there so your opinion can suck a dick unless u come up with something better, you are beneath my level!
If Mileena fighting in bandage wrap is possible then anything is possible. Runway/catwalk fashion is where there is leading costume designs because it's made from famous designers. Celebrities and famous people wear these costumes later but it's premiered on catwalk/runway first. A lot of people have said MK9 costume designs were trashy. You're saying it's fine that Kitana and Jade's etc. wear stripperific clothes because it matches their personality. Can u see how fucking stupid u look now? U must be the king of twats. As if my suggested costume designs won't work in MK. >.>

good feedback??? pffffffaahahahahhahahahahahahahah.
Theres a huge difference between Celebrities and ninjas, you know.
my question still stands: How the f*ck are you expecting female ninja assassins to fight in outfits like these. I never said stripperific clothes match they're personality. What I said it that they give alot more freedom in movement, which makes them far more appropriate for fights.
After all Kitana/Jade/etc. are supposed to kick ass and kill, not look classy and sassy.
I won't fall for that "alot of people agree with me" bullsh*t, unless you give me a legit proof.
And to be honest the Mileena's toilet paper outfit was the worst idea NRS had for mk9

Considering these female assassins are not your average ninjas, celebrities and royalty do have a lot in common. That is what the female assassins are (Royal ninjas except Jade). In MK9 they are fighting in heels. I don't know if u are old enough to go to nightclubs but girls cannot dance in their heels for very long, they end up dancing without their shoes.
I see your point about the form fitting clothes built for fighting. Many of my pictures are dresses. So bottom part of costume can be changed to panties (underwear whatever) as they are in MK9. My point is the top part of costume looks very stripperific and trashy in MK9. They can use my costume design pictures for the top of the females but still retain the panties (underwear) part from MK9. This way it still means they can fight but not look cheap. In MK9 Kitana says "I am Kitana, Princess of Outworld. And I deal harshly with sharp tongued intruders!" (Before fighting Smoke). Are we supposed to take them seriously when they're dressed like strippers?

I am kinda confused. You want Kitana to wear (as you call it) "classy" but you also use Mileena in her bandages as an example. So, classy bandage wrap costume?
Princess Kitana was raised by Shao Kahn to be an assassin. Because Shao Kahn isn't exactly the ruler that wears jewelry, his assassin daughters didn't wear anything regal either. I do understand your point that Kitana should wear something more conservative and regal however something seen on fashion magazines does not exactly seem regal.
Case in point: have you ever seen a princess wear what you are showing to us?
