About Me

I swear on my soul, that the Tekunin, will leave no survivers, good or evil! All because of you i lost my soul and my human body. I will be human again!!!And with a barrage of missles, Sektor had slain Shao Kahn for good and took his rightful place as King of all the realms..... until the next tournament.

I like the idea of having Stryker involved with the Order realm, would be very interesting to see him as a Seidan guard. All I say is that he must return to be improved and get the respect he disserves. The MKD hints in the sky clouds were interesting, I think we should not take those as a joke.

Where's Stryker? Dead in alley somewhere, along with the rest of the mk failures.

In the main menu of MKD, look at the sky and clouds, messages can be seen such as Strykers name, FUJINs name, the realms, etc.

From what I remember from the Stryker storyline, he was never really a kombatant in the sense of Sonya Blade, Liu Kang, Sub-Zero, etc. He was just a normal cop doing his best to protect his city.

If you take it from this stand point, then it is no surprise that he hasn't shown up since. Every MK game since has taken place mostly away from Earth. If Earth ever actually got attacked directly, then we might see Stryker again. The same goes to some other Earthrealm characters we haven't seen recently such as Fujin who is the acting Protector of Earthrealm.

Very true, but if Stryker was just a “normal copâ€?, then his soul would had also been stolen by Kahns portal along side the rest of the humans of the realm.

He was a chosen warrior. I guess he was never a fighter, though he had the gift, so I hope the mk team elaborates from that and develops him more, they should give him something that makes him stand out and be “specialâ€?.

See, I think the "normal guy in the middle of a bunch of craziness" is a good way to portray him. IF they ever bring him back, you can do the angle that he's going to protect Earth but at the same time, he'd rather just live a normal life. Something of a reluctant hero. Maybe give him more submission based fighting styles emphasizing takedowns and grabs and stuff (and being a cop, that's really not out of the question). Perhaps make him a little grumpy. He's a good person, but he's not the most jovial person around.

They never said what happened to Stryker. The side-missions in Konquest, like Stryker in Seido, aren't canon. He's most likely either dead or just chilling on Earth.

All of the above are valid points. I didn't like Stryker at all, but it'd be nice to see him back and given another chance. He was a chosen warrior afterall and I find it silly that he was just abondoned. They ruined Kabal with the sudden u-turn in his story and I hope something similar won't befall Stryker.

I do not believe Konquest to be canon in terms of the side stories, but if Stryker is really in the Orderrealm, then it could prove interesting in terms of his own developmment. Given the largest roster promise for the next MK game, I suppose Stryker is definitely a possibility to return.

It does make sense that we haven't seen him around due to him just wanting to live his life. I still don't like him all that much, but yeah, if he were to be in a future MK game, he needs a better look, storyline, and importance. Fighting style-wise, how about Wado Ryu? It's a style of Karate that also utiliizes Jujutsu techniques so not only do you have the Karate kicks and strikes, but you also have the Jujutsu locks, grapples, takedowns, holds, that sorta stuff. I think it'd be great along with him having the Tonfa as a weapon which is more or less like the Nightstick he has.

I really have no desire to see Stryker return, although I wouldn't mind, I mean, he has a fan-base, and an obvious and hilarious hara-kiri, but I don't really like him as a character. Don't care much for cops, truth to be told.

Actually, I think the reason Stryker was chosen in MK3 was because he had a destiny to fulfill. My assumption was that, away from the rest of the other fighters, he found the orb that bound Edenia to Outworld (like the one the vampire realm had) and smashed it so that the realms seperated. This in turn weakened Shao Kahn and allowed Liu Kang to beat him, which seperated Earthrealm from Outworld as well. And with that, he returned his city. I realise that's not canon, but I really liked the idea that he had a purpose that no one else would ever realise.

I had the thought that his intro to Arcade mode would be him coming home after a hard day's work and having Fuijin appear, demanding he fight for Earth again. It'd be revealed that he'd been preparing for this event since MK3, and had a pretty impressive armoury at his disposal, which he'd then put to use in the service of Earthrealm once again. Reluctant, yes, but a hero nonetheless.

As far as canon goes, Stryker either died in MK3, or he lived and went back to his city without doing anything spectacular. If we believe that his side mission in MKD was true then he might appear as a Seidan guardsman, but I dislike that idea, since I prefer him as a riot cop (I've never liked Seido). He has a fan base, but whether they bring him back or not I wouldn't dare to guess. He's got potential as a really good character (kinda like Jill Valentine in Marvel vs. Capcom, a normal cop amid a load of super powered miscreants), but so do a lot of the other one-shot characters in MK at the moment. Its kind of a toss up on whether they bring him back or not.
