Loads of other stuff to do to occupy yourself from going bonkers waiting for something to be released by these guys.

What if no one really plays any other games? I know most people do, but, there are always the odd balls.

We still have seven months left. There's no need to rush everything. The next two months have great games coming out, why not put your attentions on them? I'm currently distracting myself with Destiny.
Thing is, I'm glad that they're not releasing every single thing about this game. Why get so hyped up about a game that still has seven months to go? Wouldn't the hype pretty much be gone by the time the game is released? It would for me if everything got released. Yeah, there are those who want the entire game spoiled for them, whether it's because that's how they want it to or just that the hype is gone for them. Thing is, not that many people agree.
Since this is obviously how they're releasing information to us, might as well just suck it up and get use to it. We have seven more months of waiting. Time doesn't fly that fast.

I do have a lot of things to occupy myself, but, MKX is lodged in the back of my mind, day in and out even when I'm occupied...lol.

What happened to the variation renders?
Scorpion, Cassie Cage, Kotal Kahn, Ferra and Torr are still waiting...
Yeah, I agree NRS /wb marketing sucks.
In Mk 9 I am still waiting for the remaining vignette trailers. And the remaining bios in Mk: Armageddon...

How exactly do the trailers "suck"? They show the attributes of each variation and give us peeks at the X-Rays and fatalities.
This thread is whiney.

I'll agree with this.
The trailers give us some info about the character, shows us the 3 variations, the X-ray, and a peek at the fatality. The format here works so much better than what they did back in MK9.
My only gripe is new characters like CC, D'Vorah, Ferra/Torr, Kotal Kahn, and even Scorpion and Sub-Zero don't have those trailers.

It's good that they show us that, and I like what I see, but the pace of the trailer is boring, and it looks like my grandmother is playing the game. Look as the video below, you'll see the difference, it is the only "quality" gameplay we have seen since the game was announced.

I wouldn't call that quality. Yeah they're doing longer, more complicated combos. That doesn't really tell us anything about the variations though. I'd love to see high level gameplay of MKX, but I don't think its necessary for the marketing.

All I'm saying is:
There's six characters that doesn't have Variation explanation videos.
Kill each week with that shit.
Then when everything is finally caught up.
- Start a fresh month with a character reveal.
- Their variation explanation video in the middle of that month.
- End of the month, early concept art of that reveal or a gameplay video.
This isn't asking for much, is it?
There's so many ways to steady pace the game's information, but I feel what's happening now is indeed lacking.

I put it under quotes because I don't think it is great either, the lack of blocking in all videos is disturbing, but it is still the best gameplay we have seen for the game, and its the closer we have gotten to see how the game will actually play. And the video was not meant to be an example of the variations, because that is not the focus of the video at all, but it shouldn't be hard to make a video highlighting them while still having a better quality, and that is my complaint. Well, the overall pace of the trailers is slow too, and it doesn't show the HUD, even MK9 trailers were better.

Personally, I just want more. There hasn't been any news since Goro's reveal, and as said, it was just a picture. :/

I'm fine with the slow reveals and stuff, because in a few months im sure they are going to start releasing/revealing a lot of stuff more quickly and it is going to be awesome. I think the wait is going to be worth it.

It may not be a need, but it would still be better to do it. While it may look the same to the casual audiences its not the same for the advanced players, so not doing it is just silly as it would create a benefit without causing any harm.

I'd much rather go through this than have everything leak out all at once.

Since casual audience is the main audience of the game...

At this point in time.. Yes I agree with you 100 percent.
I still kind of want the full roster leaked about a month prior to release because we all know NRS will not show the entire roster..

I'd rather wait until the game comes out to find out what it has to offer. I don't want to be spoiled too much, and I'm concerned about how the game will turn out in the long run after its release.

I never said it wasn't, but they do care about the tournament community, don't forget Raiden was revealed at evo. So again, to the casuals it would be the same, for the tournament community it would be better, so why not do it?
