Yeah, which wasn't used since character introduction for the series, since...wait, this story was created for MKT in 1996. And such "awesome" story, which such exciting posibilities, somehow wasn't used at all.
Maybe because it's not so exciting afterall?

Too true, we need more Mavados, more Hsu hao's, more Kobra's, more Darrius's, twice as many Dairou's, a few more Taven and Daegon's, anything but those lame ninja's! But yeah your point here is dumb as shit and you know it. He was a minor character in a shitty one shot game nobody played. Him and all other characters from Special Forces have not been used and are border line non cannon. But his story line and powers made him interesting enough to warrant a fan base and be talked about up until now. But if you don't happen to like him thats totally fine, I don't wanna do a fanboy circle jerk thing here, i don't care that much. To each his own...continue over simplifying characters to bash people who like them if thats what tingles your tiny johnson. Trolls will troll.

Even Meat and Mokap has fans. I bet even Apep has some fans...somewhere.
It doesn't mean that they should be included in the game.
I have nothing against idea of fighter contorlling the earth, but I want him to be something more original than derivative of pallette swaps. There were too many of them already and while, yes, there are different nowadays, it was not the best thing that came from the series.

Nice self-portrait pal.
But no need to project your problems on the others, 'K?
According to the MK4 comic book, Fujin implies that the Earth God was killed by Shinnok and his forces. This could still happen in this timeline. But here's a good question for NRS- What happens to immortal gods when they are killed? Do they stay dead, or are they reincarnated?
Here's 2 ideas I thought of for your topic DG10A:
1) MKX spans 25 years. Maybe Earth God could be reincarnated as an orphan child. The Lin Kuei find him, raise him, and train him. At some point this warrior learns he is geokinetic. The Lin Kuei then dub him "Tremor"
2) The essence of the post-mortem Earth God "chooses" to be reincarnated in a metal form. Since he will need to be stronger for the coming war (and metal comes from the Earth)... Khrome is born! Khrome and Tremor DLC pack anyone? LoL

The bios confirmed that all of the Earthrealm gods were killed in Shinnok's attack on Heaven except Raiden and Fujin.
However, Deception/Armageddon established that gods reincarnate when they die.
I dunno, Shinnok might have had a way around this, it might have applied only to their mortal forms whereas since the war happened in Heaven, their immortal energy forms might have been the ones destroyed instead...but there you go.

0RI0N my dude! Those are awesome ideas. I would be sold. Extremely fitting of a characters backstory,
Tremor always reminded me of a wandering soul (because of his affiliation with multiple clans/gangs) He could play the wanderer character; searching for his origin only to find later in the story that he is a piece of the deceased Earth Elemental God. And that the Other piece is wandering the world too (Khrome, secret unlockable character)!

This is the best rendition of Tremor I have seen yet.

Understandable viewpoint but ambiguous at best, considering Shaolin Monks was a botch job in and of itself (confirmed what-if by Ed), and that MK9 only makes a cursory reference to Bi-Han saving the world, Mythologies as it is being extremely important to the series' backstory. One could still take the viewpoint it happened but doesn't matter.
Don't get me wrong, It probably IS out of continuity, but I feel like tweeting John Vogel and just getting an official confirmation. The fact that they bothered mentioning that Tremor was in prison bothers me.

Id be cool with Tremor, or another character who can control and manipulate earth, mainly because I know NRS could come up with some cool ass earth based powers and abilities.
