That raises the question, does NRS even consider Special Forces canon? If not, than they could certainly tweak Tremor into whatever they wanted. Personally I wouldn't care either way. I can't say that I'm super excited for Tremor in any form.

Not that I'm completely opposed to the idea of a new earth-based character if neither of those two return, though. If we can have more than one Cryomancer, we certainly can have more than one earth-based character.

I don't think we have it at all. I don't think I've ever seen a verified source on this(which is something I really, really need for my Khronology).

If anything, Tremor popping up on the Vita and being pissed off about his imprisonment seems to imply that at the very least whatever pre-Special Forces events led to those BD members being imprisoned in particular could have happened...in some way.

Ninjas was a tired gimmick back in the days of MKT. Why in the world this must be ressurected now, when there is no technological neccessity to make clones to make bigger character roster, especially after MK9, which had 7 ninja-type characters?

We hopefully will not be getting more than 1 cryomancer. If we did it would be stupid. Same goes for earth powered characters (or any type of character for the matter).

Tremor has a cool serviceable back story and and is more individualized than EE. What is more generic than "earth elemental" lol? These reasons are why tremor has such a large following and his large fan-following is why he should be in the roster before a generic "earth elemental" who's name would have to change anyway so why not just make it tremor?

What serviceable backstory? Black Dragon member? Who might have been Lin Kuei once? Okay, perhaps it's something, but that's not so much more than EE's backstory.

Fujin also started out with little backstory, and no unique name, but then they made him a full-blown character in MK4. Why couldn't the same thing be done for the EE?

Like I already said, they should pretty much combine both characters. Make Tremor the EE's individual name, and give him an alt based on Tremor's ninja design, complete with human skin, just like Reptile's classic alt in MK9.

And yeah, ex lin kuei assassin turned black dragon thug who can manipulate earth is a bad ass story that sets up interesting rivalries and alliances IMO.

Special Forces is about Kano stealing a magic gem that makes portals and going to Outworld and Jax stopping him.

Sonya and Jax don't have prior knowledge about realms in MK1 and 2 or any subsequent remakes thereof.

GoE was twice as big as Sub-Zero. He either need to become smaller or become a subboss or something, if they want to include him in the game.
But overall its pointless idea, because this character is pretty just a generic stone monster boss from half-forgotten bad game. Much like Tremor, whose only worshipped because apparently some people have fetish for generic ninjas of different colors.

And its stupid crap to attach Tremor's name to this character. What for? They both Z-lister characters essentially. Their place in the Easter Eggs. It's the same stupid bull like merging Sareena and Ashrah. Even more so.

MK already have 7 characters who originated from palette-swaps (8 if ones count Chameleon). Yes, nowadays they are different, because MK-Team have enough presence of mind to not listen to idiotic fanboys who wanted ninjas to stay like team of power rangers rejects in plastic armor and redesighned them. It's one of the best things that had happened in the series.
But I don't see why they need to create another ninja-character? Wasn't there enough of them? How about creating new awesome character who doesn't happen to share love of "maginificent seven" for vests and masks? Ain't there enough "ninjas" in MK already?


Yeah, which wasn't used since character introduction for the series, since...wait, this story was created for MKT in 1996. And such "awesome" story, which such exciting posibilities, somehow wasn't used at all.
