I think that will be just enough new characters to give us a little taste. Expect to see Sonya kick Tanya's arse for a while. I'm calling it now.

I think it'd be the other way around, trying to promo the new character. That said, Tanya and Sonya Blade were rivals in MK4, so i hope we get a fighting cutscene this time around.

Well she was the lead female character in MK9 where all she did was get her @ss whopped by everyone in story mode. Her story was not fleshed out at all. The best direction they can take her story right now IMO, is make her Queen of Outworld since Kitana and Sindel are dead (I don't see them making a comeback yet). So I could deffinitely see her as the poster girl of the game again, if they decide to flesh her out a little more. I sure hope so at least

If Mileena does end up the covergirl for MKX, I hope they give her a brain. She was one of my top females up until MK9.

Ok, I know MK10 might be MK4 based, but that doesn't mean a few DA/DE characters might not be tossed in. Also, The fun of seeing obscure characters come back is the brand new revamped looks and sometimes even personalities they get.

I'm hoping they span through MK4, at least up to Deception.

And I'm with you, I love seeing characters come back with new looks, as soon as they reveal them is usually when I get the most hype lol.

Especially when it's characters people used to loathe and then next thing you know they're in love with them all thanks to a revamped appearance LOL

Like I'm a lover of ALL the MK characters and I feel that most of the newer characters from MK4 and onward were never truly given a chance. They all sorta appeared in a game or two and were then thrown to the side. I'm hoping MK10 really gives a lot of those characters a second chance to shine.

Scorpion and Sub-Zero: Both bounded to be in the trailer, being the poster boys and all. I really hope the design they give to Sub-zero can clearly show he is now under Quan Chi's control, make it darker and put a Brotherhood of Shadow's symbol on it, so we can know most of the dead cast from MK9 will come back.

Raiden and Shinnok: They will probably be the main hero and main antagonist of the game, so it is a pretty safe bet.

Tanya is a given, but I think we will get one more MK4 character in this trailer, and i hope it is either Fujin, who has great chances to be in, or Kai, who has not. It will probably end up being Tanya alongside Fujin/Reiko

As the only two survivors from the hero side apart from Raiden, Sonya and Cage are very likely to be in the reveal. I wish none of them is, let's say one of them makes an appearance.

Sareena: It is a shame her only two appearances were in a portable version and in MKA, which was incredibly rushed. This is the chance to finally see her properly developed, and I can't wait.

Millena: But only if they are able to make a design that clearly shows she is the ruler now, or that she is trying to be. I just want a confirmation that the story wont be focused on earthrealm alone, but that we will get to see what is happening in Outworld as well.

Havik: I consider him to be the most interesting character from the second trilogy, and as a cleric of chaos I don't think it would be hard for NRS to include him in the story. Just imagine how crazy his moveset could be.

I don't really have high hopes for either Havik, Sareena, or Millena, being in the trailer, but i believe the rest are pretty solid choices. I also think both Cyrax and Kitana have good chances of being in, but I would prefer them not to. I would also loved if they confirmed Liu Kang's death, just so people will finally stop saying he is alive. Don't worry, Raiden will go crazy and bring will him as a zombie later in the storymode :P


PD: I forgot about Quan Chi. That sneaky little bastard will probably find his way into the trailer.

Khameleon needs her due. Seriously, lots of potential that has never been explored.

The top ten I'd most like to see:

10.New Character: I don't think they'd have the guts, but I think it'd be really cool to see a character and have no clue who they are or what their story might be.

9. Shinnok: I want to see them really make him in to a powerful, fearful badass, so I'm excited to see what they do with him.

8. Drahmin: I think that he has enormous potential. With some polish, he could be really cool.

7. Sonya: she's quietly become one of my favorite characters, and I'd love to see her do something new. Plus, they always seem to put a good amount of effort in on her.

6. Bo Rai Cho: A drunken kung fu teacher has a ton of uses story-wise, and I've always liked his look. Just correct his movd list for the love of god.

5. Jerrod: I want to see him take over Ermac and then see what that does to his appearance and moves.

4. Baraka: Old buddy, old pal... Please be in a game where you're not a bit player, a henchman, a lackey, etc. Also, a newer, darker, more mysterious and sinister look would be great.

3. Kai: I want to see him become Earth's new champion. New look, new specials (except expand on the handstand moves). If done right, he could be cool as hell.

2. Sareena: get this woman in to this game ASAP! So much she could do, stories to advance, and I think she could have an awesome demon move subset. Sign me up!

1. Mavado: it borders on criminal how much the MK Team underutilized such a cool character design. I'd like to see him back with moves that greatly expand on his grappling hooks.

Don't have a top 10. I'm open to whatever NRS brings.

However, I'd love to see a brand new, never-before-seen character shown for the first time...and Tremor, too!
