Just real happy to see that besides the well known ninjas, they chose Cassie as part of this important event for the game's reveal. Despite being someone new and a major story twist, she brings a sort of comfortable familiarity of the past that poster girl Sonya (and Johnny) usually brought during the big promotional releases of a new MK game.

Cassie might just become the new MK X poster girl for the game. Can't wait to see that Xray.

To be fair.... Scorpion getting 3 moves while other characters may get 1 or 2 (if no one else gets 3 which I believe won't be the case for the whole rest of the roster) doesn't mean that Scorpion will be better. More moves does not equal more useful moves.

What are you talking about? In nearly every gameplay video as of now, Scorpion was getting his ass kicked! He got fatality'd on the most in the fatality teaser montage that was shown..

& besides, It wasn't as bad as MK9 when it came to showcasing him.

That's in-game footage which depends on the players. But in every official CG trailer, Scorpion is always the one on top. He's the front man. He is always the first guy to be shown when a new MK is announced, at least since MKDA.

It's nothing new that Scorpion gets that much love and interest from NRS! He's the marketing face of MK. Mainly because he became the most loved by the fans along the years. And he remains one of my best character to play with, if even to have a familiar link character to start with each new game.

I remember how bad peeps seem to have taken the fact that Scorpion wasn't introduced in MK3 back then! It kind of shows the love he's also receiving from the players.

As a major Scorpion fan, I must say seeing him overused in promo videos looking like a badass and having everyone whine about how much "favoritism" he receives does nothing to ease the butthurt of him being mid-tier in EVERY game due to his high risk-high reward fighting style (because hey if you know you can't be permanently killed you tend to get a little sloppy). Literally EVERY move you make as a Scorpion player has to be carefully planned and performed or you will get horribly punished.
If he was truly receiving favoritism because he is a poster boy and team/fan favorite it would be Scorpion who is broken tier and not Kabal, Cyrax, etc. When was the last time someone WON a tournament with Scorpion?? Oh right... NEVER.
Big deal he's on promos alot because he and sub-zero are the two most instantly recognized characters in MK. For Street Fighter Ryu and Ken are all over everything and they are also abusive IN GAME. Where are Scorpion and Sub-Zero? "Meh"-tier unless the player is ungodly good with them and/or totally outmatches their opponent. I beat my friends with Scorpion all the time but then again I've been playing him ever since MK1 first came out (yes I'm old) and I've gotten good at reading, baiting, and other mind games. I play Scorpion. If I want to win I have to be ungodly good at reading, baiting, and mind games because otherwise I'm F**Ked and that's the truth.
Scorp and Sub may get the love promo-wise but gameplay wise PLENTY of characters get way favored over them and in a fighting game that matters a little more. No matter how many awesome moves and combos they give my favorite undead ninja I know that when I get my hands on the game I will learn very quickly that every single one of the leaves me SO open to punishment that I might as well spread my buttcheeks and grab the baby-oil if my opponent knows how to press the block button... or press down... or uppercut me out my teleport punch that I just threw out like a newb even though I know better, lol ... or well anything except stand there and voluntarily take it in the face because I'm Scorpion the game designer's favorite character, game poster boy, and hopelessly mid-tier punching bag to everyone else's favorite characters, lol.
In conclusion, Scorpion in videos = absolute badass meanwhile in game = not so much. Other characters = complete opposite. Other characters win... unless I catch you sleeping because I'm a ninja and that's what we do, lol.

I wish Scorpion would actually get some decent treatment in the games again. In the last game he was a complete tool, and I already don't like how he keeps accusing Sub-Zero in the new game footage of murder. I hope that's just early in the game's story, and he doesn't continue to be a putz for another 25 years.

He needs to get back to hunting Quan Chi's ass, and actually succeed at killing him.
